As General RAAM has his forces marching towards Shade Academy with their mission on mind to destroy it and leave no survivors.
The headmaster is aware of the Locust marching to them, he tries his best to get ahold of Atlas or Ozpin but no avail no response.
Headmaster:Damn! I can't reach anyone...I hear those COG soldiers are the only ones who can defeat these guys...
Student: Could you try Qrow? Was he not a teacher here for a bit?
Headmaster: Oh you're right.
Headmaster calls Qrow.
Headmaster: Come on Qrow.
Qrow answers.
Qrow: Ya? What you need?
Headmaster: I need those soldiers at Shade, the Locust are here I repeat the Locust are-An explosion is heard and the call is lost-
Qrow: Hey.. HEY!. Damn I lost him
Benjamin:Qrow whats wrong?
Qrow: ..s..Shade Academy is being destroyed right now as we speak
Yang: WHAT!?
Ruby: No..not Shade
Marcus: You know people there?
Qrow: I use to teach there. Ruby and Yang both attended there
Yang: We got alotta friends there..
Baird: Yikes..well I know we have a more pressing mission but Ben I consider we go help Shade.
Cole: I agree
Marcus: As do I
Clayton: Bro I agree with the squad
Benjamin: There was no need for a vote I was gonna make us go there anyways so everyone load up on ammo and grab your guns we are saving Shade.
Everyone loads up into the truck and check their mags and ammuniton.
Benjamin: Baird we are good to go, follow Qrow's directions to Shade.
Baird: Yes sir, alright Qrow, where we going.
Qrow: Head right here.
As Baird follows Qrow's directions. The time passes as they head there.
Clayton: Hey Weiss, you been practicing with your Lancer?
Weiss: Ya I have been but the chainsaw handle jams a bit on mine
Clayton: Pass it here lemme fix it
Weiss hands Clayton her Lancer and Clayton examines it and then grabs the handle to start the chainsaw and he tries to pull it, it doesn't budge Clayton then pulls it back towards him and sees a small object caught inside the track for the handle.
Clayton: What the hell? -he turns the Lancer over and smacks it a couple of times and the object falls out-
Weiss: Oh think you fixed it
Clayton pulls the handle again and the chainsaw revs to life.
Weiss: Oh thank you so much.
Clayton: Anytime Weiss
Blake looks at Yang.
Yang:Something on your mind Blake?
Benjamin glances over.
Blake: Its about Benjamin
Benjamin: Ya?
Blake:Oh..well you deserve to know that I have feelings for you like Yang does
Benjamin: Ya..I knew that, I just wanted to hear you say it since ya know the incident at Beacon with the window thing
Blake's face turns red with that memory
Blake: Glad you remember that...
As Baird makes a sharp turn Blake slides and her face lands on Benjamins chest plate.
Yang: Well that looked smooth Blake
Blake: Accidents happen.. -she blushes-
Yang: I am joking Blake, I trust you with him
Benjamin: Is this about sharing me?
Yang: Ya..if you don't mind it
Benjamin: No I don't mind it
Blake: Cool then I suppose you won't mind if I lay on you?
Yang: Ya me too?
Benjamin: By all means ladies go ahead I do not mind
Blake and Yang both rest their heads on Benjamin.
Clayton: Good one Bro, you got two now.
Baird stops the truck.
Qrow: Oh..my..
Yang: We here?
Yang peeks over and sees bodies everywhere.
Yang: No..No...NO!
Ruby jumps out of the truck and runs to a body.
The gears get out of the truck and do a perimeter sweep.
Clayton: This looks bad Ben..it was the Locust no doubt about it
Marcus glances over and sees a Nemacyst and it dives towards the ground near them and they take cover all the sudden the Locust ambush them.
Marcus: AMBUSH!
Baird: No shit!
The gears take cover as does Team RWBY and the 3 members of JNPR
Ren: This is for Jaune! -he shoots a Drone in the head-
Nora: This is for Shade! -she throws a grenade-
The grenade lands near a Grenadier and explodes killing him.
Pyrrha fires at the Locust in her sights but she gets flashbacks of Jaune.
Qrow: Will they ever let up?
Benjamin:Nope.
A Grenadier throws a grenade near Ren and Nora and Pyrrha they move away from eachother and the grenade goes off. Ren and Nora get back in cover, Pyrrha is caught in a crossfire and can't move being pinned, Marcus sees this and has a flashback of Lt.Minh being pinned the sameway.
Ren: Pyrrha!
Pyrrha: I'm fine Ren worry about the battle.
Suddenly a stray bullet comes from behind Benjamin.
Benjamin:BEHIND US, THEY ARE RIGHT BEHIND US
Clayton: Pick your targets and divide your fire!
RAAM is walking on the battlefield but is coming up behind the gears and the others.
Benjamin looks around and sees RAAM coming.
Pyrrha is still in a firefight not paying attention to whats going on behind her and she gets the feeling she is being watched, she turns around quickly to meet the 10ft general and she tries to chainsaw him but he grips the Lancers bayonet and rips it out of her grip and throws it away then kicks her down then grabs her by her throat and pulls out his sword and stabs Pyrrha in her stomach. RAAM jams his blade in further causing to cough up blood and then she goes limp, RAAM pushes her off his blade and walks away as Ruby sees this and her eyes begin to show a grow aura around them with silver wings and she blinds everyone else as Ruby blacksout and slaughters the Locust surrounding them but RAAM gets away.
As the time went by to have Ruby and the gears back at Patch resting from the whole firefight and losing another friend to the Locust.
The gears are awake but sitting at the kitchen table as Tai is leaning on the counter processing what happened to them over at Shade.
Yang is laying down as Weiss and Blake are outside.
Benjamin: Well...we know Ruby's silver eyes can work but what she did to those Locust...
Cole: Still I mean...we done worse right?
Marcus: What like shoving a Scorcher into a grubs chest and burning them from the inside?
Baird: Or using a Mulcher and shoving the barrel into their back and fire it?
Clayton: Or using a Digger smacking them then kicking their head?
Tai: Well I thought Qrow was a sick one..
Benjamin: Well I am gonna talk to Blake.
Clayton: I will go with you, I wanna talk to Weiss.
Nora and Ren are with Weiss and Blake on the porch.
Ren: I can't believe they got Pyrrha...
Nora: I know but is it bad if I think we are lucky enough it wasn't one of us?
Ren: I..I don't know anymore Nora..I just want the Locust gone
Benjamin: We all do Ren.
Ren and Nora look up to see the Carmines.
Blake: Hey Benjamin, Clayton
Weiss: Hello Clay, Ben
Clayton: Hello Snowflake
Benjamin: Hello kittycat
Blake blushes.
Weiss blushes.
Benjamin: How you two holding up since the firefight?
Blake: I am doing alright
Weiss: I'm fine
Clayton: Ren? Nora?
Nora: Still shaken up but I am ok
Ren: Ya..shaken up still processing Pyrrha's demise...
Ruby comes outside and leans against the wall.
Benjamin turns around and nods at Ruby.
Ruby: Hey Ben. Clay. How you others holding up?
Ren: They asked us that as well. But we are ok really, this is war after all right?
Benjamin: Ya...a Locust war anything and anyone goes.
Nora: How many gears have you guys lost in your world?
Clayton: Too many...I mean too many to count and remember
Benjamin: Blake, you wanna come with me to check on Yang?
Blake: Sure
Blake and Benjamin head back inside and head upstairs to see Yang.
Blake knocks on the door.
Yang: Come in
Benjamin opens the door and they walk in and Yang is sitting up in her bed with her sleep wear on and her hair up in a ponytail.
Blake: Hey Yang. How you feeling?
Yang embraces Blake in a hug as Benjamin sits down on the bed.
Yang: This is too much...we lost Jaune...we lost Pyrrha...we lost Dom..who else are we gonna lose
Benjamin: Nobody. Not a single person we will make sure the Locust will pay in blood for every inch of Remnant they disgrace with their filthy claws.
Yang hugs Benjamin along with Blake hugging him as well.
Benjamin: That is a promise you two. We will make sure this will happen.
Tai comes into the room.
Benjamin: Hello Tai
Tai: Hey Carmine, Baird is looking for you. Something about the truck
Benjamin: Alrighty thank you Tai
Tai nods and walks back down the stairs.
Benjamin gets up and heads out to the truck to see Baird.
Baird: Ah Benjamin good, listen I thought about trying to do a mounted turret on the truck or maybe a Vulcan with the ammo feeder
Benjamin: That can work but how you gonna build it without the correct metal?
Baird: Well I do make intelligent use of free resources which is why we are alive to bitch about it.
Benjamim: True. Well you do you Baird, lemme know how it goes alright?
Baird: Will do sir.
Benjamin walks away to Marcus to see him sitting under a tree.
Marcus: Carmine.
Benjamin: Marcus. How ya holding up?
Marcus: I am good. I know Dom wasn't gonna be around forever but Pyrrha...damn she was just a kid like the others at Shade
Benjamin: I know Marcus...but if you think about it you were still about their age when you served in the Pendulm Wars right?
Marcus is a little suprised.
Marcus: Ya I suppose you are right but those wars were nothing like this
Benjamin: I understand but you know what I mean. We aren't so different really us and the kids I mean
Marcus: Ya I see what you mean, I suppose you do have a point.
Clayton comes up.
Clayton: So whats the next move Ben?
Benjamin: We wait til the others are ready to move, don't want anymore unwanted stress added on.
Clayton: Right. Understood Sir.
Marcus: I kinda still wanna tell Tai sorry.
Benjamin looks at Marcus
Benjamin: What do you mean Marcus?
Marcus: I mean for taking care of 5 hairy ass heroes like us when we can take care of ourselves.
Tai: I do it because everyone needs some help every once in a while Marcus, so there is no need for you to be sorry for me, I done it for Ruby and Yang til they went to Beacon.
Marcus: Ya..I see your point.
Tai: But as I got your attention there is some food ready if you are hungry, the others have already eaten and are heading to sleep, I suggest you do the same.
Benjamin: Of course Tai and thank you for all you have done for us.
Tai: And thank you for making my Yang so happy to be with you and Ruby is ya know Ruby.
Benjamin snickers.
Marcus: Ya you got that right, well shall we eat sir?
Benjamin: Yes. Lets go.
They all head inside and eat and exchange stories for a bit then they head upstairs to sleep for tomorrow.
