"Dan's POV"
I open my eyes slowly to realise that both Phil and myself must have fallen asleep at some point. I rub my eyes to help me adjust to the light piercing through the window in our direction. I glance over at the clock on the wall and it reads 7:30am. We slept all of yesterday afternoon and night. I poke Phil in the shoulder to see if I could wake him up. His eyes flutter but he just rolls over.
"Phillll" I whisper, dragging out the l in his name. "Wake up" I say slightly louder. His arms move up into the air as he stretches and his eyes flutter half open. Once he notices me he smiles.
"Good Morning" he says as he slowly sits up in the bed. "How long did we sleep for?" He asks whilst yawning and scratching his head.
"Since yesterday afternoon, I can't remember when though" I say smiling at how cute Phil looks with his bed hair.
"Oh well, it doesn't matter that much anyways" he says as he gets out of the bed. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon" he adds. This sentence reminds that in fact Phil is supposed to be going somewhere, in three days.
"Uh Phil, what about that trip to Florida you're supposed to be going on in three days?" I ask. He turns around to face me, pointing a finger at me.
"You know, I actually forgot about that" he laughs. "It's still got to be put to use though, want to come with?" He asks me without a second thought.
"Well, of course I do! It will be just like old times" I say getting excited.
"Yeah, just like old times" Phil smiles before he turns to leave.
"Phil" I say suddenly getting nervous. He turns around to face me. "About last night-what happened-are we a-do you want to-uh-are we boyfriends now?" I jumble my words and I can feel my cheeks burn. Phil walks over towards me, placing his hands on my cheeks.
"Only if you want to" he says. I nod as we stare into each other's eyes. He gently kisses me on the lips before exiting the room leaving me speechless and red.
"Phil's POV"
As I exit the room, thinking about the tickets, I realise that I left them back at the apartment. I turn back around towards the room.
"Daaan" I say, stretching out his name.
"Whaaaat" he says in the same tone making us both smile.
"There's a slight problem" I say whilst I sit back down on the bed. Dan looks at me with a puzzled expression. "I left those tickets for Florida back at my apartment" I add on the end.
"Well that's no problem, I'll march in there and get them" Dan says firmly but we both start laughing. "Well I will" he adds through bursts. I smile at him before kissing him on the cheek.
"Do you want to do it now?" I ask, raising from the bed.
"As long as we get something to eat before we go there" Dan says. I nod in agreement. "Let's go!" I say. Dan gets up off of the bed and follows me out of the room.
I turn to Dan and say "shouldn't we get out of our Pajam-" but stop myself because I realise as Dan says "there's no need" that we slept in our clothes. "We don't stink, we're fine" Dan says laughing. I just smile.
When we get to my car, Dan asks if he can drive.
"Do you even have a license anymore?" I question him. He smirks.
"Of course I do Phil, the world didn't stop turning when you left me" he says jokingly. I nod and smile and Dan comes around the the drivers side.
"So how do you start this thing?" Dan asks. I look at him seriously. He hits me lightly on the arm, saying "geez Phil, I'm joking" as he starts the engine.
"So where to?" I ask Dan as we pull out from the gutter.
"I have the best place, me and Daisy used to go here all the time when she was still around, and I went there a couple of times by myself after she died" Dan said, still sounding slightly emotional talking about Daisy. She was an amazing person though, I'd give him that.
"And where would this place be?" I ask, placing my hand on his thigh closest to me. He smiles at the gesture. "You'll just have to wait and see" he says removing his hand from the gear stick for a moment to rub my hand. He kisses me on the cheek and the car falls silent as I watch Dan's cute concentration face.
After a few minutes Dan breaks the silence. "Do you want to turn the radio on?" He asks me as we're stopped at a set of traffic lights. "Sure" I say, switching it on.
"...and that was one of my old favorites, Thnks Fr Th Mmrs by Fall Out Boy and your listening to BBC Radio 1 with Mark playing all of your oldies" A familiar voice flows through the car before another song starts. I remember when we were on radio and Mark was doing work experience there, he loved it and said he can't wait to have his own show. Well at least he got what he wished for, I'm happy for him. As it gets further into the song I recognise it straight away.
Dan and I look at each other at the exact same time, smiling like maniacs before breaking out into the chorus.
"Fish in the sea you know how I feel, river running free you know how I feel, blossom in the trees you know how I feel" We sing, me judging myself badly but Dan's amazing.
"IT'S A NEW DAWN, IT'S A NEW DAY, IT'S A NEW LIFE, FOR ME... AND I'M FEELING GOOD" We belt out at the top of our lungs before laughing at how silly we sound.
"Always got to love a bit of Muse" Dan says chucking as he turns the radio down a bit. "I haven't heard that song in literally forever" he adds. I reminisce over the old memories I shared with Dan when we used to listen to Muse all of the time, and Dan would play the piano and I'd sing, badly then we'd both laugh and stare into each other's eyes. I want Dan to play again for me.
"Hey Dan, can you play the piano for me when we get back?" I ask feeling my face heat up in embarrassment. It's weird asking him something like this I guess. "Of course Phil, but on one condition" he says smiling. "You have to sing" he laughs. I smile along with him and sigh. "Maybe" I say as we laugh again.
Dan pulls up to a small cafe called Notes. "Don't you think that's a weird name for a coffee shop?" I say. "That's why I like it, it's different" Dan says as he holds the door open for me to walk in.
I am met with an atmosphere full of talking people, hurried staff, clicking of keyboards and the aroma of coffee. I watch Dan as he smiles and waves at one of the staff members.
"Haven't seen you around in ages Dan, how have you been?" An older lady greets him with.
"I'm living" he says and laughs a little. "Well at least that's one thing then, who's your friend here?" She asks. "Susan, this is Phil, Phil this is Susan" he says as I shake hands with the lady. "Nice to meet you Susan" I say smiling. She shows us to a table and we order our food.
"Dan's POV"
"Well I'm stuffed" I say, licking my lips. Phil nods. "Me too" he says. I thank Susan for our meals and Phil follows me to the exit.
"Are you ready to do this?" He asks as we get into the car, me driving again. "Yep, let's just get this over and done with" I say, pulling out from the gutter.
"This trip is going to be fun, I just know it" Phil says, looking out his passenger window. I smile.
We eventually make it to Phil's apartment and we both get out of the car. "Just straight in and straight out" I say as we go inside the lobby and start climbing the stairs to the apartment. "They really need an elevator installed in here" I say. Phil just laughs. I can tell he's nervous, but this shouldn't be that hard.
We reach the door to his apartment and I knock. Logan answers the door pulling it open enough so he can see me.
"Oh... Hey Dan, if your looking for Phil-" I cut him off. "Phil's right here, we just came to collect something he forgot to grab yesterday, if you'd be kind enough to let us in" I say as I try to be nice to him, but he's making it hard with the stupid dumbfounded look on his face. It's like he's never seen me before or that he's scared of Phil.
"Well Milly's not here at the moment so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to let-" Phil speaks up this time.
"Excuse me. This is my apartment just as much as it is Milly's, just because I left it doesn't make it all hers, and it certainly doesn't give you the right to tell who can and can't come in, now let us in or you will be sorry" he says and I'm amazed because Phil never speaks up, he usually leaves all the talking for me to do. I smile at him and he smirks back.
"Okay, I'm sorry Phil, please come in" Logan's mood changes completely after Phil speaks. What did Phil do to make Logan like this? Whatever it was, I'm proud.
Both Phil and I walk down the hallway to the bedroom, and Phil opens the third draw on his bedside table. Underneath some junk he reveals the plane tickets and makes sure they are still in tact.
"Okay well, is that it?" I ask. He nods and we both leave the bedroom. Logan stares at us as Phil gives me a light kiss on the lips before we walk out the front door. I begin to walk down the stairs but Phil yells out to him.
"Stop gawking, dickhead" he says. This shocks me completely. I never hear Phil swear, it's just not normal, but a part of me likes it and I'm instantly turned on.

"So we better pack tomorrow then" Phil says as we lie on the lounge together under a blanket watching some TV. I'm sitting comfortably with Phil as he leans against my chest, sprawled out across the rest of the lounge. I nod pulling his fringe back slightly so I can kiss him on the forehead. He smiles and reaches up to kiss me on the lips. I pull him around to face me and bring him in closer to me. Our kiss is passionate, our lips locked together. After sometime I find my way up to his ear and I nip the end of it and he moans. "You like that?" I whisper in his ear before doing it again. "Swear to me" I say making my way down to his neck.
"Fuck Dan, why are you so hot?" He says in my ear as I bring my kisses back up to his lips.
I can't wait for this holiday.
