(Y/N)'s POV
"My ear is killing me from yesterday..." I thought as I walked to school with my hand over my ear. Turns out it wasn't Kyoka that called me after Aizawa found me on the roof, it was Kyoka AND my mother on the phone, both understandably pissed.
Getting home didn't make things any better with my mother, worried out of her mind of where her son was, and Kyoka, who was mad at me for disappearing and not answering her calls. I didn't say much other than it should until our session with Trish, my therapist, putting them a little at ease. Though Kyoka hasn't talked to me since. "Guess I deserved it." I said out loud.
"Deserved what?" Someone said as they walked up to me.
"Huh?" I looked to see a familiar looking blunette. "Oh Ruto, how's it going? I haven't seen you since the entrance exam."
"Doing pretty good." She said with a small smile. "Got into U.A., just barely I might add."
"Good to hear, what class?" I asked.
"Class 1-B actually. They had enough room for one more since 1-A got an extra student as well." Ruto explained. "Seems as though I'm getting by on a bit of luck."
"Well it's good to hear that you made it in. Not many people can say that."
"Yeah." She said with a small pause. "So uh...what was it you deserved?"
"Oh yeah...that..." I pondered, trying to think of what to say. "Let's just say that I made an old friend of mine mad at me. And as punishment, she hasn't spoken to me since yesterday. I've tried apologizing, but she wouldn't have it"
"Sorry to hear." Ruto said as we finally made it to the school. "The best advice I could give is to try and talk it out. If she won't listen then then force her to. If she's really an old friend then she'll understand."
"Maybe...I don't know...I'll try again in class or maybe after, who knows." I sighed.
"Well good luck with it." Ruto said as she went ahead of me. "Let me know how it goes when you get a chance."
"Will do Ruto." I called after her as she headed to class. "I hope she'll forgive me." I thought as I headed to 1-A myself.
Timeskip: Combat Class
"I AM HERE!" A shout came from our door. "COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!" All Might? Oh right, I forgot he was a teacher now. I was so busy trying to make it up to Kyoka all day it slipped my mind. Still hasn't a word to me yet...
Everyone was getting excited as the number one hero took up his place at the podium.
"Welcome to the most important class at U.A. High! Think of it as 'Heroing 101'. Here you will be learning the basics of being a hero and what it means to fight in the name of good!" He said as he began striking various poses. "Let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!" All Might then pulled out a card with 'Battle' written on it it.
"Wait, so that means..."
"Fight training!" Sparky finished my thought. Second day at U.A. and we already get a chance to have combat training.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is...LOOKING GOOD!" All Might shouted as he pointed to the wall. Slots of the wall began to jut out, revealing cases with numbers on them. "These were designed for you based on your Quirk Registration Forms and requests you sent in before school started."
"Our costumes, didn't think we'd get them this early." I thought as I began thinking back on the request I made.
"I hope they got it right."
"Get yourselves suited up and head for Ground Beta!" All Might ordered us.
"Yes sir!" We all responded.
Timeskip: Ground Beta
Walking out with everyone else, it felt like we were actually pros already. Ready to take on what came our way.
"They say clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentlemen and behold! You are the proof!" All Might exclaimed as we exited the tunnel and went into the fake city. "Take this to heart, from now on you are all...heroes in training!"
"You could say that again." I thought as I rolled up my sleeve to show more of my demon arm.
"Now! Shall we get started you bunch of newbies?!" All Might questioned as running footsteps were heard behind us in the tunnel. Turning around I saw...
"A...green bunny?" I said out loud, causing Infinity Girl to turn around as well and go over to him. "Wasn't expecting a costume like that here."
"I could say the same for you." I heard Kaminari say as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Would've thought your costume would be a bit more flashy with a quirk like yours."
"Nah, it's flashy enough as it is. I'm pretty much going for style with this." I explained.
"Does that include the dumb belts on your leg?" Kaminari chuckled.
"Hey the belts are cool!" I said as I pushed him back a bit, still chuckling.
"Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training." All Might announced.
After explaining what we were doing, All Might had us draw lots to see who we were teamed up with.
Team A: Midoriya & Uraraka
Team B: Shoji & Todoroki
Team C: Mineta & Yaoyorozu
Team D: Bakugo & Iida
Team E: Ashido & Aoyama
Team F: Koda & Sato
Team G: Kaminari & Jiro
Team H: Tokoyami & Asui
Team I: Ojiro & Hagakure
Team J: Sero & Kirishima
Looking at the paper in my hand it read "Team X". "Uh...Professor, All Might?" Man that's weird to say.
"Hmm. Yes how can I help you Young (L/N)?" He asked as I walked over to him.
"It says here that I'm Team X but everyone already has a partner."
"Ah yes, considering that this year Class 1-A has an extra student, I've put in an extra team to act in two separate combat trainings, both as a hero and a villain." All Might explained. "Most heroes and villains usually become out numbered in certain situations, whoever drew Team X would have to work with that."
"I see. I guess I could work with that."
"I'm sure you will. To be honest I was actually hoping you would draw X." He wanted me to go twice. "As to why, it will have to wait another time. For now we have class." He then walked over to two boxes marked 'Villain' and 'Hero' and put his hands inside them. Wait, where did they come from? "I declare that the first teams to fight will be..." He then pulled balls out of each of them, reading D and A. "These guys! Team A will be the heroes and Team D will be the villains. Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch."
"Yes sir!" A collective response was heard as everyone except the four called went off. I still don't get why All Might wanted me to fight twice. What could he possibly want me to do by fighting twice...
All Might's POV
Once I told Team D to head on inside, I gave Midoriya and Uraraka time to plan out their strategy and began heading to the monitoring room. On the way I saw Young (L/N) in a thoughtful trance, probably trying to figure out why he was Team X. "If only I could tell you now...but Trish doesn't exactly want me to tell you anything. I just want to make sure you don't end up like your father..."
And that's a wrap, almost forgot to type this up after watching John Wick 3. And yes All Might knows your therapist and who your father is, even though you guys know already. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy it and send some feedback.
