What they had was an odd friendship. A friendship that consisted of late night coffees and shared earbuds. For the most part, they sat in silences. They exchanged few words, mainly something along the lines of,
"I like this band."
"Cool, me too."
He always ordered the Caramelo.
She the green tea.
He picked the band.
She picked the song.
What she didn't realize is that he picked up the gun.
And when Jude got the call the morning of September 20th, she was left with nothing to pick but the dress she was to wear at Adam's funeral a week later and the guilt of not being able to stop him.
