•Hiccup's P.O.V•
For the past four months already, it was quite challenging and finally we're one month away to graduating high school and I'm just wishing we could spend more time together. Me and Astrid are just too close and I want her to know soon. Realizing that every moment we spent together is always memorable and I really enjoyed my time with her. I just wish I can give my courage and just say it already.
Meanwhile, I'm at my locker getting my things for the afternoon classes. As I look inside I have pictures. Memories that I really loved, especially a picture of us. I couldn't help but to smile.
"Hey Hiccup!"
I close my locker immediately and saw Jack and Tuffnut approaching to the left side of the hallway.
"Hey what up bud?"Jack greets, patting my back.
"Hey"I greet back"hey Tuffnut".
"Yo, what up Hicky"He said, cheerfully.
"So what you been up to lately?"Jack ask me.
"Not much, just trying my best to complete these last remaining classes we got for our last year in high school"I shrug, as we began walking along the hallway, a lot of students sitting on the floor chatting away during a lunch period.
"Ugh! Tell me about it, math is biting my a$$ off and I'm not sure if I can make it anymore"Tuffnut sighs in defeat.
"I'm sure you'll managed Tuff"I encourage him.
"Hey, since we're like one month away from graduation. Anyone thought about going to the prom?"He wonders.
"Hmm I'm not sure"I replied"but I'll think about it".
"I'm going, I guess. Just for fun"Tuffnut laughs.
"Same, just for fun"Jack chuckles lightly.
We then got to the cafeteria as we saw Snotlout and Fishlegs talking and eating, we then sat with them.
"Hey dudes"Snot talks with his mouth full of food.
"Hi guys!"Fishlegs greets also, while writing down her notebook.
"Yo"We greet, as we sat down.
I then notice several tables down I spot Astrid with the other girls, I couldn't help but to stare and admire. Until Tuffnut notices where I'm looking.
"Ooohh Hiccup you creep, I see what's going on"He snickers, as I shook my head and avoid the situation.
"What?"I said,
"Hiccup is eyeing someone Tuffnut whispers"and I know who".
"I don't know what you're talking about Tuffnut"I lied, as I try not to embarrass myself again.
"He's eyeing Astrid as usual. Dang Hiccup why not ask her out already"He says, cheerfully.
"Yeah! What's wrong with you!"Jack slaps my shoulder.
"Ow! Hey I'm just not ready yet"I protest.
"Wait really?? Her??"Snotlout points out to her at the other side of the cafeteria.
"Well I uhhh, it's not what it looks like, hehe"I stammer nervously.
"What! Hiccup gets a girl before me, that's not possible!"Snotlout gasp"I'm so proud".
"Me too"Fishlegs dreamily said.
"Oh c'mon guys, we haven't admit our feelings to each other yet"I look over at Astrid's table while she's talking to her friends.
"You see that!"Jack interrupt my thoughts"Hiccup got struck with love".
"Now guys!"I cried"it's not like-"
"Don't be so obvious Hicky! There are times you both got closer"Tuffnut praising with his fingers"and just wanna rip each other apart in bed".
"Ahhh! Tuffnut!"I disgusted but couldn't help to laugh"Jheeeze you guys, someday I will alright".
"Ha! Just admit Hiccup, you must confessed before graduation"Tuffnut stated, leaning back against his chair"I know I know, you can thank me later".
I sigh heavily and face planted, well we are in our senior year and it has to happen somehow. But I don't want to force it to happen. I then glance over at the table and saw Astrid looking, I couldn't help but to not look away as I smile. She smiles back and quickly wink at me, I blush and look around me if she did that on me, she rolled her eyes and smile back as she continues talking with her friends.
Many minutes later as I was finish my lunch I decided to walk out of the cafeteria, told the guys see you around and continue on the hallway, lunch was almost over though so I guess I'll get to class early, but suddenly I felt like someone was following me, and I know who.
"Astrid, you're getting better at being sneaky but please do better"I tease, as I stop to see her standing beside me.
"Oh you're so aware of your surroundings Huh Haddock"She slyly remark, tapping my arm.
"Avoiding me lately?"I tease.
"Oh no, just been busy, I'm sure you have"She brushes her hair.
We both then started walking along the hallway and made it to the third floor. I notice she have been wearing her necklace and that ring a lot lately that sure makes me happy to think she does care.
"So! How you been?"She asks, as we casually walk amongst the hallway.
"Ah you know. Just been busy with these classes and try to prepare myself, but other than that I'm really good. Yourself?"I look over at her.
"Oh you know, just being me. Trying my best for these classes and hopefully pass"She shrug"besides graduation is like a month away, and it's scary to think this is our final year in high school with all of this drama going on".
I shake my head in agreement"you're right, everything happens so fast, you just realize that it's that time to go. But I'm sure we had a lot of fun over the past two years right?".
She smiles"right, it was nice actually. I just hope we can spend it together"She place her hair behind her ear"Hiccup".
"Hmm?"I waited for her to say something.
"I-"
"My my! If it isn't Hiccup and Astrid!"
We both stop our tracks and saw Katrina, gawking at us menacingly.
"Katrina"I said in a unpleasant tone.
"You"Astrid scowl.
Katrina smirks at us"I wouldn't thought you two would be here in the right place at the right time".
"We don't want any trouble"I said, as I saw Astrid getting fuelled with angry, as I hold her arm"Astrid, let's go".
"Yeah Astrid, listen to your boyfriend"Katrina mocks, walking pass by us"I see you both later losers".
As Katrina walked away Astrid was furious about her.
"Ooh!! Sometimes I just wanna"Astrid imaginably choke with her hands"that girl!".
"Now Astrid, relax"I said, in a comfortingly tone"she's not worth it".
"Hiccup"She interrupts"that B##ch has been a bully even since I got transferred here, what is her problem anyway!".
I shrug"I have no idea, but she has been bullying me too since I started here. Especially in elementary".
"You know her?"She wonders.
"Yeah. We used to be friends, until something happened"I walk over at the window"she's just jealous because I'm more intelligent than her. Because she's still proving herself to be the best".
"Wow, what a grudge"She mumbled.
"Yeah, it's not like worse or anything but it's a long story for later"I walk towards her.
Astrid then frowns and it look like she was thinking about something and look up at me.
"What is it?"I questioned, looking at her strange behaviour.
"It's something. I had a similar story too. But sometimes I'm afraid to talk about it, talking about that Person"She wraps her arms herself and walk back.
"Who?"
She turns around and say"a Ghost".
"Huh?"I looked confused.
Then the school bell rang.
"I'll see you after school"She says as She walks away as I stood there wondering what she meant by that, I shook my head and turn back and look up and notice a camera was there, but I didn't bother and walk back to class.
Meanwhile...
"Who?"
"a Ghost"
The Person then rewinds the video.
"a Ghost, a Ghost, a Ghost, a Ghost, a Ghost-" as it replays to hear that his name was never mentioned and thought that She forgotten about him.
