Adaline runs as soon as she step out of the car handled by Gabriel. "Gab, w-wait lang ah? Pucha kasi!" she cursed as she catches her breath, trying to make Gab stay in his car on the other side of the road.
Cars passed. She patiently waits a tad bit too far from the entrance. Holding her phone while shaking and panicking, she scrolls for Prince's message for her earlier this morning.
"Aalis na si Ricci for China this morning dahil may compet, nandun na kami ng 5:20 sa airport, terminal 4. Di siya dito magcecelebrate sa birthday nya eh. Gusto mo magpaalam?", the message read. She impatiently looks for Ricci in the crowd of international passengers. Hindi nya parin mahanap, 10 minutes beyond 5:20 in the morning.
"I didn't get enough sleep for this," sabi ni Adaline ng naiiyak, "just please let me see you before you go. I need to tell you to play safe." her voiced cracked by then, making her cover her mouth. She continued to shake, sincerity in this gesture heartfelt.
"San na kuya?" she texts Prince. Immediately after she was able to send it, Prince replied. "Checked in na, Ada. Naghihintay nalang raw to board. Sorry. San ka?"
Her legs became jello and every piece of her being was shattered. "Alam kong babalik ka pero di man lang ako nakapagpaalam at sabihang magingat ka." bulong nya sa sarili when she wasn't able to take it anymore, she broke down and cried tears.
"Terminal 4 hehe! Sayang. 5 pa ko dito eh, akala ko aabutan ko." Ada replied to Prince and minuted have passed, hindi na siya nakakuha ng reply uli. Past 6 am na.
"Dito ako sa kabilang entrance. Domestic kasi yan, di mo talaga kami makikita diyan."
