I woke up and threw on jeans and a plain F/C shirt before grabbing and Eggo and my backpack before walking to school
I walked into the school hallway and grabbed my things as the bell rang
I walked and sat in my seat which was in front of mike and behind Dustin
We started when the pro cable interrupted
"Excuse me, but this your new student" she smiled before pushing the girl into the room
"Dustin drum roll please" Me. Clarke asked and Dustin did a dum roll
"Here, all the way from California is Maxine!" He said happily
"It's max" she said
Mr Clarke hummed in response
"It's max, nobody calls me Maxine" she said before walking to the desk in the back of the room
I looked back downstairs to my book until I heard Dustin
"Mad Max" he whispered to Lucas
I rolled my eyes and continued to write down notes

The last bell rang and I walked out of the school to see the boys spying on Max
I walked over to them with a confused expression
"She's really cool" Dustin said
"You haven't even talked to her" Mike said mad
This was about Eleven I could tell
He never really liked others girls in the AV club except Eleven
Sometime I wonder is he still wants me in then AV club
She threw a paper in the trash and they all sprinted to the trash and opened the paper
"Found it" Dustin said happy
"It says, stop stalking me" he said with a frown
He then threw it back in the trash
"So What's the point of this" I asked
"She's mad max" Dustin said
"So?" I questioned
"So maybe she could be out friend" Dustin said
"No" Mike said shaking his head no
"Why not, we did this with eleven" Lucas said
"That's different" Mike said
"How?" Dustin asked
"It Just is" Mike said
I just rolled my eyes
"Whatever have fun, ima go" I said before walking off

I opened my front door and looked out my window from my room, and saw mikes house
We were neighbors and our windows were right next to each other
I remember the day I moved
Flashback to 8 years ago (your 14 rn)
I sat in my window with a sad expression
I didn't want to leave my friends in kindergarten
"Hi I'm mike" I heard a kid say across from my window
"Hi I'm Y/N" I said
"Why are you sad?" He asked
"I had to move away from my other friends" I said sadly
"I'll be your new friend" he smiled
"Really?!" I asked excitedly
"Yeah meet down stairs in my front yard" he smiled
"Ok" I smiled as we both shut our windows and sprinted down stairs
I smiled as a tear rolled down my cheek
And everyday we would meet at our window and talk
we would have play dates and sleepovers all the time
But when Eleven came we stopped meeting at our window
No more sleepovers
No more play dates
And it's her fault
When he cried I was there, when I cried he was there, we were so close but now that's all gone because of Eleven
Karen (mikes mom) said he had a crush on me and my mom said I had a crush on him but I didn't believe Karen
Maybe if I would of told him before Eleven came, maybe he would be mine.... but no one knows, maybe I should of listened to my heart instead of my head but i didn't and I really retreat it
I looked into his room it really hadn't changed
I missed what we used to do In These windows
I sighed and stood up then walked over to my desk and started to draw
I decided I'll tell him how I feel to-
I was cut off by the phone ringing
I picked up the phone and played with cord
"Hello the L/N residents" I said
"Hey Y/N it's me mike, wills in the hospital and we need to meet there , nobody can go except us" he said
"Ok I'll be there" I smiled
I hung up the phone and went back up to my window and saw mike sitting in his room
I smiled and decided to draw right in front of the window
"Hey Y/N" I herd I looked up and saw mike at his window
I smiled a real smile for the first time in years
"Hey mike" I smiled.
"Remember when we did this all day everyday?" He asked smiling
"Yeah I miss this" I smiled then looked back down and continued to color and draw
"Me too" He said
I smiled then asked something I haven't in years
"Wanna hang out, just like the two of us?" I asked
"Sure" he smiled
I smiled back
"I'll meet you down stairs" I smiled
We both shut our windows and I walked down stairs
I locked my door then walked down the stairs and met mike
"So you wanna go to the hospital to check on will?" I asked
"Yeah, apparently he's acting weird" mike said putting his hands in his pockets
"So uh, Mike I have to tell you something" I said nervously
"Yeah Anything" He said smiling
I stopped in my tracks and grabbed both his hands in mine
"I know you really like Eleven but I uh" I stopped and he looked confussed
"I uh.... think she's still alive" I smiled
He. Smiled back
"Thanks" He said
"No problem" I said
I couldn't tell him I'm afraid I'll ruin what's left of our friend ship
We continued walking till we reached the hospital Will was in
