Irene's POV
"I will be going now. Please consider meeting Sunmi-unnie." Seulgi said with her eye smile. Gosh, she's so beautiful especially when she smiles like that. I really don't want to meet her sister but I can't say NO with that smile. Lately she makes me feel different things. She always look at me like I'm the most beautiful person in the world. She takes care of me so much that sometimes I felt like I don't deserve it. She's a very kind hearted and warmth person. I think I'm starting to like her. Ugghh, I'm so confused. I've never been attracted to girls but Seulgi is a different story. Am I attracted to her because of all the attention she's giving me that even Bogum wasn't able to give me? I don't know but it's driving me nuts.
Our morning classes were as boring as always. I'm so happy it's done and we'll be in lunch.
"You know Irene-unnie, why don't you just call Seulgi to ask why she's not here yet rather than just waiting and staring at your phone?", Wendy exclaimed.
"I'm not waiting for her Wendy!", I defended.
"Oh yeah. Deny more unnie! Can't you see? We are the only ones over here. If you're not waiting for her then let's go. Maybe she got tired of you!"
"No! Seulgi.. she'll never get tired of me."
"How sure you are? Look at you. You never once do something for her. She always do all the effort." I think Wendy is trying to push my buttons. "She's the one to ask you for the date thing, yes but that doesn't mean that you have to treat her like she's nothing. Just let go of her unnie, alot of people are admiring her nowadays."
"Geez Wendy, why do you have to nag me about that. Alright, I will call her."
I go over my contacts and called her.
"Hel-lo Seul-gi. Whe-re a-re you?", I'm so nervous. Ughh
"Irene? Oh shoot, I'm so sorry. I'm still in my class. I'm so busy with the project that we have to submit this week. I have our lunch boxes. I can't be with you today but I can come there for a sec and give it to you." So sweet of her.
"No Seulgi, just stay there and I will meet you there." I saw Wendy smirking. I rolled my eyes on her like saying "Yah bitch, you win"
As soon as I ended the call, Wendy asked me what happened and I told her what Seulgi said.
"Do you know her classroom unnie?"
"Duh, of course I know!"
"Oh whipped!" , I smiled at her sarcastically.
"Let's go now or else I wont be able to hold myself in killing you", we both laughed.
During our lunch dates, I've got to know Seulgi. She's taking up Fine Arts and is the same age as me. She even showed some of her drawings to me and I remembered one time when we both blushed so hard when she accidentally showed the portrait of myself. Tell you, she's so damn good in painting.
"Oh there, Seulgi is there unnie."
"Seulgi!!!!!!!" , Wendy screamed while waving her hand. Aist, this girl.
Seulgi gestured telling us to come in. As soon as I see her, my blood boils. I don't like the scene I'm seeing right now.
As we are walking, Wendy whispered at me, "Do you know that girl unnie? She's super close to Seulgi like she's ready to take her home?" I'm so pissed off right now and Wendy is not helping at all.
"Who is she Seulgi?", I blurted out, I don't care if I sounded so rude.
"Oww Irene, she's Joy. Joy this is Irene and next to her is Wendy. Me and Joy are partners and we are working on this painting".
"Nice to meet you Irene and Wendy", she smiled. In all fairness, she's also pretty and I don't like it.
"Aren't you forgetting something when you introduce me Kang?"
Seulgi look so confused while Wendy is just staring at her like saying "You're dead Kang!"
"Well Joy, I'm Irene, Seulgi's GIRLFRIEND!"
Seulgi and Wendy were shookt with what I said while Joy chuckled.
"I know Irene. And so, what are you trying to accomplish here by telling me that you are Seulgi's girlfriend?"
That made me speechless. She's right. What am I even trying to prove her. Ughh, I hate her guts.
I turned to Seulgi and yelled at her. " I don't need your lunch box. Eat it yourself. I'm going now." and with that I walked out.
"Irene......wait!", Seulgi called me but I never look back.
Seulgi's POV
What the hell just happened. I turned to see Joy laughing so hard, holding her stomach with Wendy. Oh my gosh, these girls are sadistic, I swear.
I glared at them.
"Joy, why did you do that?", I'm so upset that Irene is mad at me.
"What? She's so rude at me" Joy defended her self.
"Wendy why are you laughing? You should be with her, you're her bestfriend."
"Oh no Seulgi. I don't want to be near mad Irene. She's so scary, I swear! You're so dead Kang"
"Yah Seulgi, you're so dumb. Just follow her before she snaps at anybody on her way." Joy said.
"What about our project?"
"We'll just finish that later. Goodluck!"
I ran as fast as I could but oops I forget that I can't do that. Before I can reach Irene I felt like my heart is aching a little bit. I sit down on the beach near me and called out Irene as loud as I could and close my eyes to rest so the pain won't worsen.
"Seulgi, are you okay?", Irene's worried face is so closed to mine. She's a lot prettier up close. My cheeks are so red. Sunmi-unnie was right. I might die earlier because of her. She suddenly realized how close our faces were so she back off a little bit.
"What happened Seul?", her voice is so soft and o_o oh, wait what did she called me. Oh my, Irene what are you doing to me. I'm so happy though.
"So you're calling me Seul now huh? I love it." I saw how flustered she is. Is she falling for me too?
"Are you okay now? What do you feel?"
"I feel pain in my heart" I hold my chest and look at her straight to her eyes.
"My heart is in pain because you are mad at me", then smiled at her.
She hit my arm so hard.
"Ouch, what was that for?" I complained
"For making me worry for nothing. You silly bear! Don't do it again next time." She's really worried, I felt guilty.
"Sorry Irene. Sorry that I didn't introduce you to Joy as my girlfriend."
"It's okay. I'm not even your real girlfriend"
"But why did you get mad at me earlier, are you perhaps jealous?" I gathered all my courage up just to ask that.
"You wish Kang. It's just a deal. I don't want you to be distracted and left me hanging.", she hesitantly said.
"Yeah right. Just a deal", I bitterly said. Oh my poor heart, I'm so sorry.
"Don't worry, I won't leave you hanging. Shall we eat luch?" I tried to smile.
"Of course!"
After Irene and I finished our lunch, I grab my medicine in my bag. It's been really hurting but I don't want Irene to notice so I just tried to hang in there. Maybe for now, I will put my medicine in my pocket just to be sure in case.
It's really a long day and I felt so tired. I was about to sleep now when my phone rings. I saw Irene's name flashing.
"Hi, Irene what's up?"
"Hey Seulgi, I just want to let you know that I already made my decision. I'll meet your sister!"
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Do you want me to change my mind?"
"What? Of course not."
"Is this Saturday good?"
"Yes, that would be a good time."
"Alright. Have a good night."
"You too. Thank you so much. I'm so so so so so so happyy"
I heard her chuckled in the phone. "Silly bear!"
Oh who have thought. All the pain I had today is so worth it.
