I hoped off of the branch into the window, landing with not a sound.
Walking over to him slowly, I slow reached for his shoulder. About to tap it, he startles me with two words.
" Hello there. "
" Wha- how do you know I was here? "
" I've learned to listen to the silence, your foot steps were easy to hear. And I knew you were coming, Brice. "
" How do you know my name? "
Looking up from his book, he smiled.
" I'm a sorcerer. I know all. "
" Wow, uh.., that's creepy. "
" I also know you came here to kill me."
" Oh, yeah. The king said you killed almost half our men. "
" Yeah, well, I haven't been out of my tower in a couple of weeks. "
" But.... "
" Besides, weren't you suppose to kill me already? "
" Well I.... "
" Well? "
" I... I can't! "
Backing up, I jumped out of the window, only to be grabbed by a hand.
" Don't leave yet. "
" I have to leave, let me go! "
I tried to throw a ender pearl, but I couldn't.
" No, your staying. "
I sighed and gave up.
" Your very stubborn. "
" I know. "
Sitting down in the windowsill, he smiled.
" Ok. What do you want? "
" Come on, take off the face cover. "
He reached for my face cover of my suit, I swatted his hand away.
" No, I barely know you."
" I basically already know what you look like, just take it off. You can trust me, can't you? "
" I don't know.... "
" Then can I see your hair? "
" My hair looks stupid. It's too blonde and defies gravity. "
" Then it looks great. Just take it off, I won't judge. "
I just stared into hi eyes, thinking.
' Maybe... I feel like I can trust you. '

Sliding off my hood, my hair poking out.
" Are you happy? "
" Very. It looks awesome. "
I blushed under my face cover, luckily he didn't see.
" Yeah, well. I better be going, the king will be suspecting me. "
" And what will you tell him? 'Oh, I let him go.' Hmm? "
" Umm.... I'll tell him I couldn't find you. "
" Whatever you want. "
" Wait. Why are you so kind to me? Couldn't you have used your powers and killed me? "
" Well, I guess so. But I didn't. What else did the king say about me? "

" Ok, whatever. Well, I gotta go to bed. Now, you go tell your 'king' that you couldn't find me. I will see you later "
I nodded, jumping out of the window and landing with a quiet thud.
Running off into the darkness, I crossed the bridge that lead to the sorcerers' tower.
I looked back at the tall stone tower.
'Wait, did I ask him his name?'
' No! I didn't. Dang it! I'll ask him next time '
Sighing, I walked down the path that lead out of the area to the village.
I took off my face cover and my beanie. The villagers knew who I was, and they felt pity on me for working with the king. But a job is a job, and you have to do it.
Fluffing up my hair, I tried to make myself look better.
" 'Ello Brice! "
The blacksmith was one of my friends.
I always helped him with something, wether it was armor, weapons, or just smelting.
" Hello Bernie. "
( yes, the blacksmiths name is Bernie. I thought it might be a good fit )
Walking along the gravel path, I notice Nooch fixing one of the street lights.
" Hey Nooch. "
" Huh? Oh, hey- "
The ladder wobbled and fell.
I ran at light speed and held out my arms, catching him.
He was covering his eyes and breathing hard.
" Are you ok? "
" Am I dead? "
" No. "
He uncover his eyes and hugged me.
" My god. Thank you. You saved my life! "
" Your welcome. "
" Can you take me home? "
" Yes, of course. "
