the point of most tension in a relationship is often the one that is hidden, unaddressed. sure, topics that the people continually struggle with or bring up to each other can seem like the biggest issue. but more often than not, it is the one that lies and waits in the shadows, festering and growing in darkness in each one's mind — the continually feeding elephant in the room — that drives the deepest wedge.
