"So,what made you want to apologize to me?" Sophia asked
"Well,for one I learned that a man should never talk to a female like that in the beginning. Jacob replied. "And like I said,I felt really bad"
"Oh,well that reason is way better than the other men's reasons when they apologize" Sophia said chuckling
Jacob raised his eyebrow. "What do you mean?" He asked
"What I mean is the only reason they treat me in a rude way is because I decline them when they ask me something sexual" Sophia replied
"Wow,are you serious?" Jacob asked
Sophia nodded her head. "It happens every time.It's like they don't want to get to know me or anything"
"Wow,If I was there when that mess happened.I would be kicking somebody ass" Jacob said
"You would really do that?" Sophia asked
"Yea,it's called respect" Jacob replied. "I was raised in a house filled with mostly women. My mom and two younger sisters"
"Hmm,that's funny because what you said back at your job was nowhere near respect" Sophia said. "I bet if your mom and two younger sisters found out,they would have kicked your ass."
"Trust me,they would have done worse than that or maybe even after that" Jacob said
"Really?" Sophia asked "Like what?"
"Well,they would throw my things out of the house,lock me out,and change the locks so I won't get back in" Jacob replied
"Wow" Sophia said
"Oh,and they would turn the sprinklers on too,so my stuff would get all wet" Jacob said
"Damn they don't play!" Sophia said as she started to laugh. "And you would have definitely deserved it,too"
"Yea,I can't argue with that" Jacob said as he chuckled. "So,what about you and your family?" Jacob asked
"My mom is in Jamaica and I'm the oldest daughter" Sophia replied
"How many brothers and sisters do you have?" Jacob asked
"I have one little sister and she's living with my mom in Jamaica" Sophia replied
"Do you have a father in your life?" Jacob asked
"Yea,he's in Jamaica with my mom and younger sister" Sophia replied. "They're getting remarried in a few months"
"Oh,nice and that's a nice place to have a wedding at" Jacob said ygtd
"Yes,it is" Sophia said giving him a friendly smile as he smiles back.
"What about you? Do you have a father?" Sophia asked
"Sadly no,my father left my mother for an drug addict when I was young" Jacob replied
"Wow,I'm so sorry to hear that" Sophia said
"It's cool" Jacob said. "She died in a car accident while snorting up some crazy drugs in the passenger seat"
"Oh my lord! Is your father okay?" Sophia asked
"My father wasn't there when it happened" Jacob replied
"So,the drug addict was the only one that was in the car accident?" Sophia asked
"Yep" Jacob replied
"Did you liked her being with your father?" Sophia asked
"Not,really" Jacob replied. "But I never disrespected her even though in reality I never had any respect for her"
"That makes sense" Sophia said nodding
"I guess so" Jacob said as he slaps on the bar counter. "Can we have some drinks over here?" He asked
The bartender nods and holds his finger up as he continues to write down the other couple's order.
"Do you still want that drink or you good?" Jacob asked
"I guess I'll get that drink" Sophia replied. "I'll have one glass of mixed Vodka"
"Just one? Are you sure about that?" Jacob asked
"Yes,because this is your money" Sophia replied
"Psh! You can get more than one drink if you want to" Jacob said
"Then how am I supposed to get home if I'm gonna get more than one drink?" Sophia asked
"I'm pretty sure that your best friend is sobber enough to take the both of you home" Jacob replied
"Think again,amigo"
Sophia pointed to the dance floor to the left as Jacob followed her finger to that direction that it's pointing at. Jacob sees Sophia's best friend Jennifer dancing on the dance floor with a huge glass of mixed alcohol. Looking like a complete fool but enjoying every minute that she having with herself trying not to fall or spill her drink on anybody.
"Okay,so maybe just one wouldn't hurt or two" Jacob said
"Just a couple of drinks and that's it" Sophia said
"I promise and if I'm lying then may the Lord punish me for it" Jacob said. "I wouldn't lie to you and I'm not going to start either"
Sophia crossed her arms. "Okay,but don't give me anymore if I ask for more"
Jacob smiles. "You have my word"
A Male bartender walks to Jacob and Sophia but this time it's a different one. Which was a big relief for Sophia because she didn't want to deal with him again unless Jennifer is with her
"What can I get you two?" He asked
"I'll have straight Vodka,no ice" Jacob replied
The male bartender nods and writes down Jacob's order. "And for the lady?"
"I'll have mixed rum with vodka" Sophia replied
"Okay,so that's one straight up vodka with no ice and one mixed rum with vodka" he said as he writes down Sophia's order. "I'll be back with y'all drinks"
"So,tell me about yourself" Jacob said
"Oh,now you wanna get to know me?" Sophia asked. "After all of that judgmental stuff you said at your job" Sophia said laughing a little
Jacob chuckled. "I did apologize to you,didn't I?" Jacob asked
"Yes,you did apologized to me but--"
Jacob raised his eyebrow. "But?"
"You still gotta deal with my crazy best friend" Sophia replied
"Nah,I said that I wanted to get to know you not your crazy best friend" Jacob said
Sophia rolled her eyes. "Either you like it or not you'll still have to deal with her sooner or later"
"I'm pretty sure that I do but you look good in that outfit by the way" Jacob said checking her out
"You're just saying that because you're drunk" Sophia said blushing
"Our drinks haven't came yet,so no I'm not" Jacob said
"I'm pretty sure that you had a few drinks before you came to me" Sophia said as she crossed her arms
"I did but I'm not drunk" Jacob said
"Then you're tipsy?" Sophia asked
"Damn,I can't compliment you?" Jacob asked
"I didn't say that" Sophia replied
"But you're shooting my compliment down like I'm trying to have sex with you or something" Jacob said
Sophia sighed and looked away from Jacob as the male bartender comes back with their drinks as he placed it in front of them and leaves.
"I just didn't want to play easy to get" Sophia said
"What do you mean?" Jacob asked
"Because when men go to a night club and sees a woman he thinks that looks good" Sophia replied. "He goes to her and compliments her and then he flirts with her so she can get soft and falls for the trap"
"What trap?" Jacob asked
"You really gotta get out more often" Sophia said
"I do--" Jacob paused as he looks at Sophia knowing that she's not believing him. "Sometimes"
"Exactly,but what I mean by that is that he'll just wait to see if she'll fall for what he says to her" Sophia said
"But I wasn't trying to do that to you" Jacob said
"Good because I'm not easy to trick" Sophia said
"I bet because you look too smart to fall for something like that" Jacob said
"Thank you" Sophia said smiling
"You're welcome"
Sophia grabbed her cup and took a couple sips from her drink and placed it back on the table as Jacob stares at her.
"What?" Sophia asked trying not to blush
"Nothing it's just that you're really pretty" Jacob replied
"Thank you,that's really sweet of you,Jacob" Sophia said
"I'm just being honest" Jacob said
"Like you said last time" Sophia said mumbling
Jacob sighs. "You're making me feel terrible over here"
"Good! That means my plan is working" Sophia said winking at him
Jacob starts to laugh. "You're cold for that" he said as Sophia stick her tongue out at him. "But I low-key like that" he said as Sophia smirked at him and continued to sip on her drink.
