Nova's POV
The heathens step closer to I and Amelia, Amelia shivers in fright as do I. I force my mind to think of any way out or else both of us will die tonight. I look around and whisper to Amelia who is crying and shaking behind me.
"Just do I say" I whisper to her and turn my body a little bit to her side
"Aww come on, take off your clothes you too, let's make it quick" The red bearded man says and smirks and both of them assuming that we are defenceless throw their swords on the bed and smile at each other, they place themselves on the bed and gestures us to come to them
"Have courage Amelia, nothing will happen to us" I assure her, "Do as I say, 1...2...3" and I smash my wrist on the mirror of my vanity by my side, Amelia jumps in fright and big pieces of glass is shattered all on the table and on my jewellery, I grab a huge piece and throw it toward the blonde man aiming for his neck, like I throw a boomerang
My judgement was right and the glass piece puntures the throat of the blonde man and he gasp for air as he falls down. The red headed viking stands up in anger and grabs his sword while charging towards us
"JUST THROW THE PIECES AMELIA,KEEP THROWING!!" I scream as Amelia and I pick up the pieces from the table and directs it towards the man coming towards us, he ducks and the pieces are over
He smiles and walks towards us, as soon as he starts walking towards us I take out the large piece of glass splinter that I was holding behind my back and shoots it towards him. It hits him in the eye and he groans in pain as he too falls down.
"Run...NOW!" I say to Amelia with my hands bleeding and she follows my command
"Here take this one and protect yourself" I say while collecting the two men's swords with my bloody hands
"Quick Nova, we have to get you somewhere safe" Amelia says while grabbing her sword and my hand as I look back at the two men bleeding profusely in my later father's chambers.
Dear Jesus Christ, what is happening at this castle tonight? Is it the end of France? I think as Amelia and I rush outside of the chambers my head spinning and my heart beating faster than ever I look around and there is blood and dead men all around, I start to feel dizzy

Ivar's POV
"Look at this!" Ivar says with childish excitement while jumping on the throne which is meant for the King and Queen of France, "All mine" he giggles and closes his eyes to take in his victory.
"We are brothers, we share" Ubbe says with annoyance
"Women yes? Throne? No" Ivar scoffs while mocking his brother, "Ivar you have to know.." Hvitserk says, "ENOUGH!" Ivar get's angry like an ox
"You both are incompetent fools and you believe that I would give you my throne? I have worked for it, I, IVAR THE GREAT" Ivar says while standing up from the throne "Father knew that I deserve all this and he put all his faith in me" He says and points to his brothers "Not in you both" Ivar says and laughs
Ubbe storms out and Hvitserk follows him in anger
"Brother's my shit" Ivar says while taking a sip on wine on the table and looking around the room in total fascination
"Hmmm, fancy, just the way I like it" He smirks and take a sip
"We have found the royal family " a viking storms in and disturbs Ivar's peace, "What do we do? Kill them" the viking asks
"Oh no no, bring them to me" Ivar says politely in a mocking respectable way "I have to thank them for letting us stay here" Ivar's eyes light up and the viking smirks, "As you say" he bows and leaves the throne room
Ivar starts to laugh non stop and his laugh echos from the walls to walls as Floki enters
Floki looks confused and asks "Why are you laughing like a mad dog?" Floki inquires
"Why not?" Ivar throws his hands in the air and his chest swells in pride, "We have taken over France, It's ours" his eyes brightens as he looks around
Floki sighs, "I haven't found her" he says while lowering his gaze to the ground
"Found who?" Ivar's eyebrows tense as he is genuinely curious about who is Floki talking about
"THE PRINCESS IVAR!!! I CANNOT FIND HER, CAN'T YOU SEE MY AGONY?" Floki gets mad and Ivar calms down and looks at Floki in concern as Floki mutters something while being tense
"Calm down Floki, I will send someone to search for her" Ivar says in a low tone and turns around to look for someone to call but Floki grabs his arm and says "No, you and I search for her together" Floki says and Ivar nods, "I am doing this for you Floki" Ivar says.
"You are doing this for your future wife" Floki mutters as they both leave the room in search for Nova

Nova's POV
I walk in front and Amelia follows me. We run around the castle to make sense of what is going on, I only see blood splattered everywhere but I need to find my family. God knows how are my brothers and my mother. A heathen from the back attacks Amelia and chokes her neck
"NOVA NOVA NOVA!!" she screams and I turn around
I raise my sword and the heathen pushes Amelia away and attacks me with a sword. I duck and we change sides, I run towards him and do my first attack but he blocks it with a shield and pushes me to the wall. My lip starts bleeding but I gain my composure and attack him with a sword
Our swords clink multiple times and we both are engaged in a sword fight as Amelia watches in fear, at this moment it feels as if Amelia is a princess and I am her protector. Good thing that I learnt sword fighting from Adrian. I kick the leg of the man with full force, making him tumble and slit his throat with my sword as I watch in disbelief his death
His blood sprinkles on me and my creme dress as he dies and I am left spellbound by seeing that I, Nova has killed a viking with a sword. I stand there like a statue, unable to move my feet until Amelia comes running and pushes me in forward direction
"Come on Nova!!! Let's go!!" she says while pushing me
"No, wait" I say with a serious expression, "You go that side and I go this side" I point to opposite direction, "We need to split, save yourself" I say and I run in my direction to search for my family.
"Please Christ keep my family safe" I say as I check the chambers with no sign of them at all
"What are you looking for?" I hear a sweet voice with a funny accent and I turn around
I see two men one a tall man with dark ink round his eyes wearing wolfskin and covered in ink who his looking at me intently and I immediately recognise that it's Floki, the northman I met in the blood woods
The other is the most handsome man I have ever seen in my life, his hair is braided and his eyes are deep blue. His lips are the most perfect creation I have ever seen and he looks at me like he has found cherry blossoms in harsh winters.
"I am Ivar" The same sweet voice says and it is the handsome one
"Ivar?" I am confused and I look at Floki, "Floki?" I say in disbelief and I immediately raise my sword in front of them as I come back to the reality of what is happening but I still feel dizzy
"Don't come near me" I say and Ivar smirks
"Do you know who I am?" Ivar asks as he steps closer to me, "No, and I don't care" I say and he raises his eyebrow in admiration of my courage
"Errr.. Nova we will not harm you" Floki says and he too steps closer to me
Now I am scared very scared....
"How could you? I helped you in the woods!" I scream at Floki
"Calm down Lova... or whatever you name is" Ivar says with his hand in the air gesturing me to tone it down
"Do shut up" I tell him and they look at each other in disbelief of what I just said, They look like blood has been sucked out of them until Ivar scoffs and says, "What did you just tell me?" He asks with his eyes glued to mine with weird sense of curiousity in them
"I told you to shut up as I am talking to Floki" I say while pointing my sword towards Floki
Floki slaps and buries his head in his hands and mutters something in his native language, almost like a prayer.
