After failing to catch up to his mate, Jungkook reluctantly decided to just wait until lunch to talk to him. He quickly found this task almost impossible considering that everywhere he went the vampire's scent also lingered. He tried ignoring it, and continuing on with his day like nothing was wrong, but he knew that this next hour was going to be hell for him.
Jungkook walked into his science class, and took his usual seat on the far sight of the room. He sighed. He had no idea how was supposed to survive the next hour in the same room as his mate, but not being able to do anything. His leg started shaking, a nervous tic he's had since he was a kid. He tried, but was never able to get rid of it. It was an unbreakable habit.
Jungkook was suddenly once again surrounded by an intoxicating aroma. He didn't have to look up to know that his mate had entered the room. Jungkook could feel a pair of eyes on him, but he didn't know if it was his mate's eyes or if it was one of the vampire's.
Deciding that he wanted to know, Jungkook looked over and ended up making direct eye contact with his mate. It was like time momentarily stopped, and it was then that Jungkook realized how truly beautiful his mate was. Jungkook could easily get lost in those bright blue orbs that stared back at him with the same intensity as his own.
Jungkook was snapped back to reality when the vampire suddenly looked away when his friends said something to him, and that's when Jungkook realized that the other vampires were there. They were saying something that had the grey haired boy nodding before sitting down at his desk, and avoiding Jungkook's gaze the rest of the hour.
As soon as the lunch bell rang, Jungkook watched as the red and black haired vampires dragged his mate out of the room and away from him. Jungkook quickly packed up his things, and went to meet up with Jimin and the others. They had made him promise to wait for them before he went to talk to the vampires.
He found Jimin already waiting at Namjoon's locker with Namjoon and Jin. He approached his friends and sighed.
"Can we go now?" Jungkook asked clearly impatient seeing as he's waited all morning.
"Yes, we can go now." Jin said. "But please just keep in mind what we I told you this morning okay?"
Jungkook wanted snap back at Jin for implying that his mate might not want him, but he knew that the elder just wanted the best for him and was just looking out for him. So, instead of snapping back he just nodded his head.
"I will Jin, but I'm hoping that he will feel the same about me." Jungkook answered.
"And how exactly do you feel about him?" Jimin asked, eyeing the alpha as the four werewolves made their way down the hallway and towards the cafeteria.
"Um, I don't know. I mean I don't even know his name, but I feel like I can't live without him. I don't know if it's because I now actually know what's happening, or what. I just know that if anything were to happen to him, I don't know what I'd do." Jungkook responded truthfully.
"Wow." Namjoon said after a moment. "I think you have it worse than I did with Jin."
Jungkook sighed. "I just don't get it. I didn't feel this way yesterday. I mean I was drawn to him and I was attracted to his scent, but it wasn't this bad. Like yeah, yesterday I thought he smelled good, but today it's like I was drowning in his scent and couldn't get enough.
It wasn't like I was completely in love with him."
"You think you're in love with him?!" Jin asked bewildered.
"What? No!" Jungkook immediately said, his eyes wide. "That wasn't what I meant! Hell, I don't even know his name!"
Jin let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god! I thought I was going to have to slap some sense into you!"
Jungkook his looked at him. "I'm not in love with him, but..."
This time it Namjoon who spoke. "But?"
"But it scares me at how easily I can see myself falling in love with him." Jungkook said vulnerability seeping into his voice. It was rare that this happened, so the others made sure to listen. "I don't even know him, but can see myself loving him!"
"Jungkook calm down!" Jimin said stopping them in the hallway as he saw how worked up Jungkook was getting. "It's okay, to feel that way. He's your mate. I would be worried if you didn't feel that way."
"Jimin's right. It's the mate bond working its magic." Namjoon chuckled. "I felt the same way, and Jimin will to when he finds his mate. It is scary, but once you get to know him it'll be the best feeling in the world."
Jungkook instantly felt ten times better after his friends assurances. He nodded a small smile creeping onto his face as he thought about how he was finally going to talk to him after what felt like ages. Even though it was only a couple of hours.
"Come on let's go. I can't wait anymore!" Jungkook said as he started walking again.
They finally made it to the cafeteria, but Jungkook was soon disappointed when he saw that the vampires weren't there.
"So what now?" Jimin asked.
"Well they've got to be here somewhere." Jin said. "Let's go look for them. Jungkook you should be able to follow your mate's scent."
"Like a dog?" Jungkook asked sarcastically. "Am I supposed to just sniff him out?"
"Well I mean technically you are part dog." Jimin said shooting him an amused smile, in which Jungkook just rolled his eyes at.
"Come on let's check outside." Namjoon suggested and the others nodded. They made there way outside and Jungkook suddenly stopped.
"What?" Jimin asked. "What is it?"
"I can smell him." Jungkook admitted.
"So you did sniff him out!" Jimin exclaimed followed by him laughing as Jungkook shot him a look that said 'shut the fuck up'.
Jungkook followed the scent around to the back of the school where he finally saw his mate standing under a tree with the other two vampires. Black haired one was leaning against the trunk of the tree, and his mate was standing in front of him with his back to Jungkook. While, the red haired one stood in the middle but to the left of the other two, so they were standing in a triangle.
Jungkook turned and looked at how own friends before gathering up the courage and walking over. As the four got closer they heard the red haired boy saying something about eating that had the black haired male rolling his eyes. It seemed as if the grey haired boy wasn't even paying attention to the other two.
Jungkook and his friends were practically right behind his mate before any of the vampires noticed them approaching. They were to lost in their own world, or at least that's what it looked like to Jungkook.
The black haired one was the first to notice them, but that wasn't surprising since he was the one that was facing them. He stood up straight so he was no longer leaning against the tree, and he nudged the red head.
The two looked at the Jungkook for a second before the red head called out to the grey haired boy who still wasn't paying attention.
"Tae." Jungkook heard the red head boy say, his eyes never leaving the group of werewolves.
Tae. Was that his mate's name? It sounded perfect.
Jungkook watched as his mate looked up from the ground. The shortest of the three motioned behind him with a head tilt. That's when Jungkook assumed that his mate realized that his friends were looking at something behind him. Slowly, his mate turned around and came face to face with Jungkook.
Jungkook continued to watch as the boy's eyes widened slightly upon seeing him. Then he watched as the boy's gaze travelled to the boys behind Jungkook, and finally coming back to rest on Jungkook.
It was weird, or at least it was for everyone else except for the two. They just stood there staring at each other for who knows how long. They stood there and stared into each other's eyes, as if they could find out everything they needed to know by that one action.
No one moved, and the others stood back awkwardly not knowing what to do as they stared at their friends.
As for Jungkook it was like he was in a trance. Even if he wanted to he felt like he couldn't look away. He had these crystal blue eyes piercing into his own brown orbs, and he couldn't get enough.
Finally, the trance was broken when the grey haired vampire looked away. Jungkook blinked a couple of times and his gaze traveled back to him mate. The vampire stared at the ground for a few seconds before he also looked back up at Jungkook. Then, the vampire did the unexpected.
He took a step forward and gave a small smile, holding out his hand to the alpha. "Hi."
