*A year later.*
I was back to my old self again, but the thought of Cyndy eats at me. And that night I almost lost it, haunts me.
We were sitting around the table at Matts discussing our up coming tour. Yes, I had my hopes up that I would see Cyndy again, but for all I knew, she could hate me right now and not show up.
"Gates." Matt barked, "your thoughts?"
I shook my head, "on what?"
"finding a new merch person." He laughed.
I looked at him shocked, "what happened to Brandon?"
"He wants to finish up school." He told me.
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "it would be nice if Cyndy could do it."
"Yea, right." Aarin laughed.
I slightly glared at him. I knew he got it. He knew we would never find her.
"No. You know what, that's a good idea." Matt said.
My heart stopped, "how?"
"Search for her. How hard could it be?" Matt laughed.
"Guys," Zacky said walking in the dining room, "VU needs a new merch guy. Jake quiet today."
Matt shook his head, "that fucker sucks."
"I am finding her damn it! But Matt, you have to make the call if I find her." I said nerves.
He looked at me weird, "why?"
"She might hate me." I said sadly.
"What's going on?" Zacky asked.
Johnny looked at him, "Matt and Syn are going to try and find Cyndy to be our new merch girl since Brandon quiet."
"Find Brandy too." Zacky blurted out.
I just laughed, "you find own, you find the other."
Zacky flipped me off and laughed as well.
A few days into searching we couldn't find them. I hated it, but we had to start looking for legit merch people. Zacky refused to give up though. Matt tried to talk him out of it, but Matt couldn't do much, VU was Zackys thing. Then merching for our band itself, that was Matts deal not mine.
"I found one." Matt said walking into the living room.
I shook my head, "don't tell me."
"It's a dude, Brian." He said aggregated.
I just rolled my eyes and messed with my phone.
"I can't find her." Zacky said tossing his phone on the table, "I should give up."
"We leave in two days." Matt said, "you should."
"Jason can do it." Zacky said as he got up and went into the kitchen.
"Who is ours?" I asked Matt.
He thought for a second, "names Mike."
I sighed.
"Uncle Brian!" River said marching his way into living room.
"Yes young on?" I said looking down at him.
River crawled onto my lap and looked up at me, "you'll find her."
I have him a funny look, "find who?"
"Yea River, who?" Matt questioned him.
"Your dream girl." He smiled.
Matt shook his head, "I thought you said aunt shell is his dream girl?"
River shook his head, "nope. She's not here."
"Val, come get River." Matt called for her.
"River, when you find a girlfriend, make sure she's the right one before you marry her. And don't let her go, no matter what." I told him.
"Gates." Matt said eyeing me.
Val came in the room and took River, "what are you telling my child?"
"He's telling my crap not me!" I laughed.
Matt laughed, "River giving Gates love advice."
Val rolled her eyes and left the room.
"But he's right, you will find her." Matt told me.
I sighed, I sure hope so.
