I know I skipped episode nine..there were no scenes that I thought Aria would fit into.
Aria's POV
"Papito, taste the pollo con ajo. My abuelita taught me how to make this when I was a little girl. The key is to add just a bit of cigar ash." Lydia smiled, holding out a spoon to Alex, pouring into his mouth as he made a disgusted face that quickly changed to one of pleasure.
I smiled at his reaction, then looked back down at my texts, nervously. I fidgeted with the different keys, debating whether or not to open my new text message.
I've been texting with a boy named Peter from our class for a couple weeks now, and he asked me out on a date about an hour ago, and I had yet to respond
Honestly, I really wanted to, but my feelings for Alex were still there... especially after the kiss.
He was my first kiss, and I know I was the one to push it down, but I always make stupid decisions when I'm nervous.
Maybe going on a date with Peter will help me get over my feelings. He's a sweet boy... a little out there for a kid our age, but I wasn't worried.
I nervously bit my nails, opened the text, and then finally confirmed the idea with Peter. He quickly responded with an excited text
I sighed and set down my phone to listen to Schneider's input into the conversation I was missing out on, "My abuelita used to put Vicodin in her coffee. And her lemonade and her sandwiches. Maybe she had a problem."
Elena and Schneider started talking about the sink Elena fixed, and Alex walked over to me, "You okay?"
"I'm fine." I promised, faking a smile
"Come on. Tell me." He begged, gently grabbing my hand with both of his
"Well, you know Peter?" I asked, leaning closer to tell him the news
He nodded his head, "Well, he asked me to go out on a date... and I said yes."
"Oh." Alex nodded with a sad smile, quickly dropping his grip on both of my hands
I was about to say something else, when Penelope walked into the apartment, making Alex quickly change the subject, "Mami, where have you been? I've been cooking these frijoles for 20 minutes. Ugh, I try to make a house a home."
"I was driving in freaking circles, looking for a spot. I had to park by the lake again and get chased by the geese. The big one either hates me or is in love with me. Either way, I don't like it." Penelope groaned, throwing her keys into a small bowl
"Why don't you just park in your garage?" Schneider asked
"What?" Penelope gasped, clearly having no clue about their available parking spot
Lydia shook her head quickly from behind Penelope, begging Schneider to shut up before he went any further
"We don't have a garage." Penelope continued
"Yeah, you do. It's part of the lease." Schneider insisted, completely missing Lydia's signal
"I figured you were using all the garages for storage." Penelope said
"Don't be ridiculous. I use my garage for pickling and sea horse breeding. Anyway, of course you have a garage. It's downstairs." Schneider finished, stopping when Lydia hit him
He finally realized his mistake, quickly trying to come up with a solution as he faced Penelope, again, "There seems to be a misunderstanding."
"Why did I not know I had a garage?" Penelope asked
Cut to a few minutes later, and Schneider was pulling up the garage door to reveal it filled with boxes.
Everyone looked at Lydia, "I may have put a few things in there."

Schneider and I went back to the apartment to let the Alvarez's figure out the garage situation.
I was in my room looking for an outfit tonight, when I got a call from Peter.
I smiled slightly and picked up the phone, "Hey."
"Hey. I think I found a really cool place for us to go tonight." He responded
"Cool. Where?" I asked, rummaging through my closet for some decent kind of outfit
"This drive in movie theater downtown." He suggested, making me pause for a moment
"The one not a lot of people go to?" I noted, finally choosing an outfit and laying it down on my bed
"Yeah, I thought it'd be later if we were alone." He laughed, "No creepy old people watching all the teens."
"Uh.. Yeah. That sounds good." I coughed, faking a laugh, still nervous about it being my first real date
"Cool. Meet you there at eight?" He asked
"Sure." I replied, hanging up.
I was a little confused, because usually your date picks you up, or at least that's what Lydia had always said
I went to the Alvarez apartment, a little nervous to see Alex, but when I got there he was back to his normal self.
I sat down on the couch and watched him and Lydia play video games.
"Well, my car got hit!" Penelope exclaimed, walking in
"What?" I asked, turning to face her
"Are you okay?" Alex questioned, just as worried as I was
"Yes, because I wasn't in it. I was about to leave and I noticed that somebody clipped it because I had to park it with its big butt sticking out of the garage!" Penelope yelled
Penelope and Lydia started fighting, so I left to get ready for my date.
I got ready for my date and was brushing my hair, when I head a knock on the door, "Maybe he did come to pick me up."
I opened the door to find Alex on the other side, "Hey."
"Wow. You look great." He smiled, admiring the outfit I wore
"Thanks." I blushed
"I just wanted to come by and say I'm sorry for the way I acted. I'm happy that you're going on a date with Peter." He apologized
"Thanks, But I really have to go." I sighed, checking the time on the clock
"At least let me walk you out of the building." He offered
I smiled and nodded, shutting the door behind me, and chatting with my best friend as we walked towards the front of the apartment building

After the evening had ended, I went back home and immediately took a shower.
As soon as I was done, I went to the Alvarez apartment, wiping my eyes as I came face to face with Lydia, "Is Alex in his room?"
"Yes, he's in his room.. are you okay?" She asked, gently grabbing my hand
I offered the okay lady a smile and no response, before I walked to Alex's room. I knocked on the door, and quickly came face to face with the boy, "Hey. Why did you knock? You usually never do."
I instantly started crying and hugged him, while he led us to sit on his bed, "Woah, woah. What wrong?"
I didn't answer, but just hugged him tighter, "He didn't show up, did he? I'm going to kill him."
"Can I just stay here?" I asked, trying to shut him up before he could talk anymore
"Of course." Alex nodded
I closed my eyes, laying on my side to face the window on his wall. I could feel his stare on the back of my figure for a few long minutes, debating whether or not to speak up
I heard a soft knock on the door, before Penelope's quiet voice rang throughout the room, "Is she okay?"
"I think she's asleep. I tried to ask her what happened, but she didn't really tell me. I don't think her date showed up." Alex replied
I guess he had assumed I'd fallen asleep in those few minutes. I remained quiet as I listened to their conversation.
"Okay, you make sure she feels better. Do you understand me? That girl does not deserve another person leaving her." Penelope sighed
"I'll always be here for her, Mami." Alex promised
It was quiet for a minute, until I heard the shut of the door, once again. The bed shifted, as Alex's weight moved to a laying position on the bed.

The next morning, Alex dragged me out of his room with his family and Schneider, to see how Elena fixed the garage.
Elena had set up some shelves in crowded storage area, so Lydia could keep her stuff and Penelope could finally park her car.
"Elena these shelves are amazing." Penelope complimented, admiring the shelves with overwhelming artifacts
"They solve everything." Lydia agreed
"Ooh, and I didn't just build shelves in the garage, I built shelves in their souls." Elena said
"That only works for toilets. But I'm proud of you. What you did here is really...super. Ooh, and I made us something and I'm pretty excited about it." Schneider smiled, pulling out two hats with the word handy printed on them
"Yeah, we gotta talk about our branding." Elena groaned, looking at the hat in her hand
"How about I make us all some dinner to celebrate." Lydia suggested, "We can use the China."
"I thought we moved the China to the other garage." Schneider said
"Other garage?" Penelope asked
Lydia laughed and ran off to make dinner, as everyone slowly moved to follow her
"You okay, kid?" Schneider asked, slowing down to walk behind the rest of the group, at my side
"Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded, before jogging to catch up with Alex.

Y'all I just came home from a school trip and I have never been so tired in my life. I don't feel like putting an outfit so just enjoy the chapter. Thanks again for being patient.
