"I can't believe that she decided to fall asleep during our long anticipated girls evening!", Kazuha complained and crossed her arms in irritation.
"I agree", Sonoko huffed in agreement. "We finally managed to meet up after several failures and now this!"
Both girls stared at Ran, who was laying on Sonoko's big couch. She was snoring and looking absolutely peacefully, but her cute expression didn't impress the others a simple bit.
They originally planned to have a girls night with lot of movies, snacks, alcohol and gossip, but Ran seemed to be already tired, when she arrived at Sonoko's house. She barely participated in their chatting, did her stuff in silence and fell asleep when no one was watching.
"Now leave her alone", Masumi, the fourth person relented. "There must be a reason why she felt tired, so don't be mean to her, okay?"
"You're just glad that someone else is attracting our anger, but don't think we've forgotten that you came late! Hell, your tardiness is the reason why we had to start everything late", Sonoko barked.
"Sure, sure", Masumi shrugged. "So, what are we going to do about our sleepy companion?"
Kazuha already grabbed a thick black marker planted on the desk. "Obviously. We're goin' to give her some nice tattoos!"
"Great idea! Plus, she deserves it. It was her fault for falling asleep during an important meetup!", Sonoko smirked.
"Wait", Masumi gave them a questioning stare. "Doesn't she have a soulmate? Kudou-kun?"
"Yes, yes", Sonoko said with a shrug. "But isn't he with Hattori-kun at his place? We shouldn't worry about Shinichi-kun, a few laughs from his friend and it's over quickly."

"So, the culprit poisoned our victim by mixing somethin' in their food, and drew the attention to the waitress, who already held a grudge at the victim because of private matters. After this, he hid the cane with poison– why the fuck are ya staring at Kudou like that?"
Heiji and Shinichi were on a crime scene and seconds away to reveal the murderer. But Heiji couldn't concentrate anymore since everyone gave them, especially Kudou, weird glances and started to giggle. Heiji furrowed his brows, before looking at his detective companion and his eyes widened.
"Oh my God", he blurted out, held his hands before his mouth and tried to suppress his laughter. "Kudou, you look ridiculous!"
"What?"
Shinichi hadn't noticed the strange stares from the other people until Hattori pointed it out.
A witness grabbed in their bag and took out a small mirror, which they gave Shinichi. He opened it and his eyes looked like they were going to pop out.
"What the actual heck?"
His whole face was covered in black ornaments. Flowers, animals, random stickmen and holy shit, was there a dick on his forehead?
As soon as he realised why he got blessed with these ridiculous drawings, Shinichi became red and gritted his teeth.
"I absolutely don't know what's going on. But I will make sure to strangle Ran when I find her", Shinichi hissed. He felt absolutely embarrassed. Especially since the bystanders are hollering and will probably not take him seriously anymore.
Didn't his soulmate say that she was going to have a chill evening with her friends? Who the fuck decided to draw these obscenely things on his face! But it can't be Ran's idea, he was sure of it.
Still, did she condone this? While being aware that him and Heiji would be surrounded my many people?
Although he had to admit that this time was less embarrassing than the moment he noticed bizarre drawings on his whole body for the first time.
They were in middle school and always asking themselves why their arm, hands or legs were occasionally decorated with sketches and reminders until their class had to make a group project.
The moment Sonoko, their mutual friend, painted Ran's body with several colours, they appeared on Shinichi's body too.
The thing was — he was currently eating in a restaurant with his parents when it happened. Yukiko and Yuusaku blinked several times, which absolutely annoyed their son. He only bothered to ask when other guests started staring and giggling.
Like today.
Heiji has turned his back on him, but Shinichi was sure that he tried to hide his laughter.
The police officers Takagi and Megure weren't as subtle as his best friend and laughed loud among the others.
Shinichi wanted the earth to open up and reclaim him. Sure, he faced some quaint moments, but it still, these were pretty much avoidable. Plus, why does this only happen to him? And what was Ran thinking? He really needed to ask her.
But first, he had to survive the humiliating deduction show.
"Hattori ", he gritted between his teeth. "Just end it, so we can leave quickly and I can find the the person, who's responsible for this."

Shinichi was still fuming when him and Heiji arrived at Sonoko's place. She had called Shinichi before and started to panic when he told her about the embarrassing drawings.
"I'm actually curious what their problem is", Heiji said. "Didn't they want to have a girls night? Kazuha said so."
Shinichi groaned. "I absolutely don't give a damn, as long as I get to wash these fucking drawings off my face."
Heiji laughed. "I would've never thought to hear some profanities from your mouth!"
When they arrived the huge house and he knocked, Sonoko opened the door right after and as soon as she saw the angry Shinichi with the decorative painting, she became pale.
"Wow, the person, who would laugh the most, isn't reacting at all", Shinichi commented in a sarcastic tone.
"That's because I'm kind of... responsible for them", she replied, with a sheepish smile on her face. Shinichi's frown deepened.
"Excuse me?!", he barked.
"Just come in. You'll get soon enough what I meant."
Heiji pushed his best friend through the door, as the other didn't seem to take a move, and both of them followed Sonoko, who was behaving so strangely today. Just what exactly happened and what was Shinichi's role in that mess?
"We're here." Sonoko opened the door to the living room, revealing Kazuha who was having the same guilty face and Masumi, who seemed to be in a good mood.
Behind them on the couch was Ran, flat laying and snoring sweetly. She snuggled the pillow as it were something dear to her. Shinichi's heart immediately melted. She couldn't be aware of the stupid prank, not with the innocent face of Ran.
"I bet you thought drawing this on her face and arms was funny, huh?", he grumbled to Sonoko.
"Since she fell asleep durin' our activities, we thought it was a good idea to prank her and decided to decorate her face", Kazuha started to explain. "What we didn't expect is that it would affect another person."
"Lies", Masumi interjected. "They were fully aware, yet didn't care because they forgot that you always have to deal with a case whenever you leave the house."
Both Shinichi and Kazuha glared at Masumi, but she didn't look like she was fazed by it at all.
"Why do these shitty drawings look better on Neechan than on Kudou?", Heiji cackled, managing to light up the mood a bit. Sonoko, who really seemed like she's regretting her doings, started to giggle as well.
Shinichi ignored them, while approaching
his girlfriend. He gently shook her, until she stirred up and slowly opened her eyes.
It took Ran a while to process that she was laying on someone else's couch in another house and that she was surrounded by the others, including the detectives.
"What is going on", she murmured in a tired voice and yawned afterwards. She looked so cute, Shinichi quickly gave her a quick peck on her nose because he couldn't resist her adorable face.
"Hey sweetheart", he greeted and waited for Ran's reaction. She opened and closed her eyes for a few times, before finally reacting at her current sight.
"Why would you tattoo your face, Shinichi?"
Shinichi wheezed, before explaining everything.

The staff adapted chapter 1000+ and seeing the floof ShinRan moments animated reminded me that I could never hate them. They're so cute sometimes!
