"Relax and speak slowly" Taehyung had said, holding his best friend by the shoulders. They were standing in front of the sinks in the toilets, out of the way from everyone else while Jimin tried to explain the situation.
Jimin had to tell Taehyung, how could he not? The boy was his best friend and this wasn't something he could keep a secret from him. Not to mention Jimin was in desperate need of advice and was sure Taehyung could help with that.
After reminding Jimin to take two deep breathes, Taehyung gave him a reassuring smile. "continue" Taehyung said.
Jimin was still nervous but at least he felt somewhat more calm. So he went for it.
"Last week, Sungwoon invited me to a party" Jimin saw Taehyung frown slightly at the name and he knew exactly what the boy was thinking. "I wasn't gonna go at first, I swear. I had actually planned to—"
"To go to the cinema with Yoongi" Taehyung finished the sentence at the same time.
"Yeah, How did you know?" Jimin asked, worriedly biting his bottom lip.
"I overheard a bit of your conversation while we were walking home. So you didn't go?"
The smaller looked down to his hands that were playing with the hem of his jacket.
"No I didn't. I cancelled on him and went to the party" he muttered in a very small voice, as though he was about to cry any second.
Taehyung wanted to scream at the boy, asking why he did such a thing, especially because it was Sungwoon! But he saw how upset Jimin looked and he knew there was much more to the story. As much as he'd like to say "didn't I tell you he was weird?", Taehyung kept his mouth closed and gently rubbed his hand up and down Jimins sleeves. "Why? Why did you cancel on Yoongi? I thought you really wanted to see him?"
Jimin lifted his head, this time looking full of regret. "I did! I really did..." his lips trembled. "I don't know why I did it... Sungwoon came to me on Friday and he tried to convince me to go and I just said yes! He kept saying how it was such a shame that I couldn't go and how he really wanted to see me..."
"That bastard" Taehyung grumbled under his breath. "So he basically guilt tripped you into going, what a jerk"
Now Jimin thought about it, Taehyung was right. Sungwoon had somehow managed to manipulated Jimin in to going to the party, made him feel guilty that Sungwoon had 'looking forward to seeing him'. Jimin really wished he had figured that out sooner and then all of this wouldn't have happened.
He was too naive, thinking Sungwoon was just a friendly guy.
"That's not the end is it?" Taehyung asked to which Jimin shook his head in shame.
"I went to his party... and they gave me drinks and I drank them, and then I wasn't having fun so I wanted to go home but then Sungwoon wouldn't let me and then he took me upstairs and—" Jimin suddenly broke out into tears and Taehyung quickly caught him in his arms, stroking the boys back to reassure him he was there for Jimin to cry on.
"You don't have to tell me yet if you don't want to. Whenever you're ready" Taehyung almost get crying himself after seeing his best friend like this. Anger sparked inside of him, thinking of how Sungwoon was such a manipulative asshole who hurt his friend. His friend who had assumed Sungwoon was just a friend. He really hated Sungwoon, before for it was just a suspicion, a dislike for the boy, but now he had a reason to hate him.
"N-no it's f-fine" Jimin croaked as he pulled away from Taehyung and wiped his eyes. "I'm o-ok."
"You sure?"
Jimin nodded, forcing a smile which was more to convince himself he was ok more than anything else.
"He t-took me upstairs a-and.." Jimin almost got stuck at the same part again but he forced himself through it. "H-he kept calling me baby and w-when I said I didn't like it he kissed me"
Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin once again and pulled into a tight hug. Taehyung knew at this point Jimin would be feeling guilty, regretting everything he's done like it was his fault. He could imagine being in Jimins shoes— what if that happened to Taehyung? He'd be scared of telling Jungkook too.
Taehyung knew how much Jimin liked Yoongi, I mean it was clear as day. You'd think anyone would be able to see it. Clearly Sungwoon didn't give a damn. That made Taehyung angry.
"Ugh, I can't believe him"
"I don't w-want to see him ever again" Jimin whimpered into Taehyung chest. "You don't think he'll come back do you?"
"Well if he does I'll punch him"
Jimin pulled back and looked up to Taehyung. "Tae no" he frowned. "You're a terrible fighter, you'll just get hurt. I don't want that"
Taehyung didn't know whether to find that offensive or cute. He laughed and ruffled Jimins blonde hair. "Thanks I guess. But seriously, it will be really hard not to punch him. Jungkook's really strong I bet he could take Sungwoon down any day!"
Jimin rolled his eyes but giggled at the comment. "I bet he is." He said, teasingly.
"Oh shut up" Taehyung flicked him on the shoulder while his cheeks turn a light shade of pink.
"But Tae, I really don't know how to tell Yoongi... or should I just keep it a secret and hope that he'll never ever find out?"
"No. You have to tell him, jiminie. It'll be hard but I'm sure Yoongi Hyung will understand right? Just tell him what you told me and you'll be fine! Then you can kiss and make out and everything will be back to normal"
"I think it's Kiss and make up but okay"
"Is that the only thing you take from this? Whatever, you get to snog Yoongi either way, you just have to tell him, okay?" Taehyung raised his eyebrows, expectantly waiting for Jimin to answer.
Jimin sighed and nodded. They both pulled away from the hug and smiled at each other. Jimin was so glad he had Taehyung as a best friend.
"Shall we go back?" Taehyung suggested.
"Yeah, they might be wondering where we are"
With that the two make their way out of the toilets and head down the hallway, chatting to keep Jimins mind off the situation as they did.
But as Jimin was in mid sentence, Taehyung suddenly cut him off with "Yoongi Hyung".
Jimin froze and looked before him to realise the older appeared to be deep in trance about something. After Taehyung called his name, Yoongi looked up.
"What are you doing here?"
Jimin began to panic after Yoongi completely ignored Taehyungs question and turns to him. Yoongi didn't say a thing, but he didn't need to.
Because Jimin understood.
Jimin knew Yoongi had found out.
The heartbroken look in Yoongis eyes said it all for him.
But then everything was over in a second as Jimin swore he only blinked when he realised Yoongi was already too far gone.
The younger felt like he could collapse any second. Whatever Yoongi had heard, it was definitely not good.
"Jimin..." Taehyung rested a hand on the boy's shoulder, hoping he wouldn't burst out into tears again. He knew they had to change plans quickly. Taehyung felt guilty that he had told Jimin everything would be fine.
"Does that mean..."
There's a moment of silence and for a minute Taehyung thinks he's not going to answer.
"He knows" was all Jimin said.

The door flung open and smacked against the wall. Yoongi flinched at the sound, he didn't mean to open it that forcefully. Yoongi stormed out into the school garden where he found a bench to sit on. He slumped down and placed his head in his hands.
He made a mental note to count to three, in hope that would calm down his raging emotions. His feeling were everywhere, torn between utterly heartbroken and outright angry. Yoongi didn't want to feel either way. It was all confusing but perfectly simple at the same time.
Jimin had cancelled on his and Yoongis plans to go to one of Sungwoons party. Only to then get completely drunk and cheat on him.
Yoongi tried to think what the worst part about this mess was, but truthfully, he had no clue. All of it made his chest tighten.
Why would he cancel our movie night plans?
Was Jimin lying about wanting to see him so much?
Why did he go to Sungwoons party? And alone?
Out of all the people. Out of all the places. Why didn't he ask Yoongi to go with him?
Why didn't he tell him he was going to this party?
I mean, Yoongi wouldn't have liked the thought of Jimin even spending more than a second alone with that boy but at least he would have been truthful.
And finally
Why did he kiss Sungwoon?
Did Jimin suddenly develop feelings for the boy over a week?
Yoongi was boiling with jealousy and frustration. This Sungwoon guy, Yoongi now hated him.
Did he really get over Yoongi that fast? Did I do something wrong?
Yoongi should have known something like this would happen from the very start, Jimin was the type to catch crushes easily— he caught one on Jungkook, then Yoongi and now Sungwoon probably. That made Yoongi question whether Jimin actually ever liked him as much as Yoongi liked him. And man, that hurts.
The older thought of all the times he was there for Jimin, comforting the boy when he was sad, but now when Yoongi was heartbroken, he sat alone.
For once, Yoongi is the one crying.
He groaned and quickly wiped the tears from his eyes. No. Stop crying, he tells himself.
It was a quick relief of sadness but maybe it will last him for the rest of the day. Maybe until he gets home.
He hears the bell ring behind him. Yoongi knows he should be heading back, but he doesn't want to.
Yoongi pulls out his phone one last time with his shaky hands, wondering if maybe, just maybe, Jimin had sent him a message to explain, confess, anything.
But I guess he had been too hopeful, because there was not a single text.

Jimin fidgeted in his seat, tapping his foot against the floor, clicking his pen, anything to try and calm his nerves down. He couldn't tear his eyes away from the door. Yoongi hadn't walked in yet. The rest of his friends had. The rest of the class had. The lesson was starting.
"Let's go to class" Taehyung had said earlier stopping the boy from running off to find Yoongi. "He'll come back, don't worry."
Jimin obeyed and followed Taehyung into the classroom, the bell ringing not long after.
But it had been 7 minutes and counting and Yoongi still hadn't returned. Even the teacher had arrived before him.
10 minutes.
Jimin couldn't focus on a word the teacher was saying. As everyone began flipping pages in their textbooks, Jimin stared at the door.
15 minutes.
The teacher suspected he wasn't doing anything and shot Jimin a stern look. Jimin quickly opened his textbook and began writing anything he can think of.
20 minutes.
He wondered what Yoongi is doing. Wondered what he's thinking. Did Yoongi hate him?
25 minutes.
Jimin laid his head down on the table.
30 minutes.
The door opens.
Jimin sat up straight in an instant and almost cried from the sight of Yoongi standing at the door.
He's so happy to see him. But then for the millionth time today, his heart drops when Yoongi walked past without sparing even a glance towards him.
"Min Yoongi" the teacher called sternly. "What time do you call this?"
"Sorry I'm late" was all Yoongi muttered as he pulled out his chair and sat down at his desk.
"You can come back at the end of school and repay the time you weren't here" the teacher adds before continuing with the class.
Jimin bites down on his bottom lip until it's sore. He had really messed up.
