April 14th, 2004.
This is the tenth year in jersey. I'm 25 now. I've been saving up money to move back to Nockfell. I hope Larry still lives there...
Sal's journal entry was interrupted by a knock on the front door. He got up from his desk and answered it.
It was the mailman.
"Package for a Sal Fisher?", He said, with a medium box behind him.
"That's me.."
"Sign here, please."
Sal signed the paper, and was givin the box.
He closed the door and took the box to the dining room.
"Uuuh.. box cutter... where is the box cutter..."
Sal started to rummage through junk drawers.
He grabbed a pair of scissors instead.
Once the box was open, he took out the wrapped item, and unwrapped it.
"...?"
Sal's eyes widened.
It was the spiked hair ties from the Sanity's Fall concert years ago...
He took of his mask, to wipe a single tear from his eyes.
Sal was surprised to hear another knock at the door a few minutes later.
He walked over and opened the door.
He stood dumbstruck.
"Did you get the package..?"
It was Larry.
It was clear he had started going to the gym.. he had a little beard now, his hair.. it was a faded light blue...
"Did you get that tattoo?"
Larry pulled back the collar of his shirt.
Sal Fisher, was written in bold letters.
Sal jumped into Larry's arms and hugged him tightly.
"..asshole...."
"Love you too..."
Sal gave Larry a kiss on the cheek.
"Sal..?", Larry said, resting his chin on top of Sal's, now Larry length, blue hair.
"Yeah?"
"I moved two houses down the street.."
"Really?"
"Yep. Last truck showed up today."
"I was just about to move back to Nockfell.."
"Beat ya..."
Sal lifted on hand, pinkie raised.
Larry did the same.
They locked together for the first time since they were teenagers.
"I was just about to put this place on the market.."
"You can still do that.. then.. then we can go on a trip..."
"What kind of trip...?"
"Oh well... I was hoping....", Larry let go of Sal, and unlocked his pinkie. Then slowly got down on one knee.
"A honeymoon type of trip...?"
Sal couldn't do anything more than gasp loudly.
"Sal Fisher.. would you make me the happiest greaseball alive..", Larry pulled a small box out of his pocket, and opened it, "and marry me..?"
"I.... i...", Sal was speechless.
Then...
"YES!!", Sal screamed then fell into Larry's arms.
There they sat in doorway of Sal's house.
Larry but the ring on Sal's hand, and kissed him.
Then they locked pinkies again.
They cried like that.
They smiled like that.
They hugged like that.
For the first time in 10 years... they didn't want to let go again.
