Bruno and I were getting dressed in our closet as we are waiting for the Denali's to arrive. We were both nervous since we don't know how they will react and since we know how serious this is it made us more nervous.
"I wish there was a better way to get her out of this", Bruno says
"Well, we both wish that but...", I sighed
"Why are you so against me changing", he asked
I kept my eyes down focused on zipping my boots. He was then in front of me making me look at him.
" you already sacrificed so much for me in the past. You allowed me to be in your home when you didn't even know me plus you took care of me. I want to be able to take of you and protect you...while I still can", I say
He touches my cheek.
"I'm not changing for you love. I would be changing for her, I don't like knowing and feeling like I can't protect her while I have blood through my veins. What if it does come down to a fight? Do you think I'm gonna leave you alone?", he asks
I shake my head.
"So, I'm going to talk to Edward-"
"I'll do it", I say
He raises an eyebrow
"Are you sure?", he asks
I nodded.
"But give me a week", I say
He nods and kisses my head.
"Bella they are driving up", I hear from downstairs
I get up and motioned Bruno to follow me. We go downstairs, I picked Renesmee up, and took her to the dining room where both Jacob and Edward were sitting.
"You ready?", he asked
We nodded.
I heard a car driving down my long drive way and stops. I then heard murmuring and doors opening and closing,
"I'm gonna meet them outside", Edward says
I nodded.
He gets up and leaves. Bruno takes Renesmee onto his lap and begins to rock her back and forth.
"Edward, is everything alright?" Tanya asks. "Why didn't you tell us you were coming?"
"Is it Irina?" Carmen asks. "Have you heard from her?"
"No directly," Edward says.
"Why is your sister waiting in the house, i was looking forward in meeting the changed Bella and her husband?" Eleazar
"And why have you brought a wolf with you?" Kate asks. "I can smell him from here."
Jacob and Bruno chuckled.
"My family is in danger. I need your help."
"What's happened?" Carmen asks.
"It's too much to explain but I need you to be open minded. Can you do that?"
"Of course," Tanya says.
"First what do you hear?", Edward asks
They were quiet for a moment.
"I heart a heartbeat...3 no...2. What is that other one Edward?", Tanya asks
"Is that a bird or something and smells human but not really human"Carmen says
"It's really hard to explain", Edward says
I turn to my daughter.
"Okay. Time to meet some new people...they are our extended family."
"What if they don't like me?", she asked in a small voice
"They'll love you," Bruno says.
"They will," I reassure her. "Once they understand you."
"They just haven't met anyone like you before," Jake says.
I smile at him.
"Okay."
I take Renesmee from her father and got up, they guys followed me towards the door, I walked out the door, and showed Renesmee. As expected, as soon as Tanya and Kate see Renesmee, they recoil in fear. As do Eleazar and Carmen. Me, Bruno, and Jake stop.
"The Volturi will come for all of us," Kate says.
"You get that thing out of here," Tanya hisses.
"She's not what she looks like," Edward says.
"This is a crime!" Tanya snarls before she attack Edward.
He pushes her into the snow away from him so Kate goes for him and she's hurting him somehow so I give Bruno Renesmee and went to help Edward.I throw Kate across the snow near the gate and both girls go to attack together.
"Stay back," I growled
They stop.
"She has blood in her veins," Edward says. "You can feel her warmth."
"I can feel it," Carmen says.
"Bruno is her father. Bella is her mother."
"Before I was changed I was pregnant, I was attacked by a nomad and bitten, Edward sucked out the venom from me but some had gotten to my womb with her in it...which made her a hybrid that she is", I explained
"Impossible," Kate says, shaking her head.
"It's true," Bruno tells them. "She was born while She was still human."
"I've never heard of such a thing," Eleazar says.
"She can show you, if you let her," Edward says.
We turn to Them and they began to walk to us.
"Tanya, you owe us this much," Edward says. "We're all under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain."
Bruno stops in front of Tanya and Renesmee holds out her hand but Tanya recoils.
"Don't be afraid," I tell her. "This is how she communicates."
Renesmee puts her hand on Tanya's cheek but she back up.
"What?", Bruno asks
"She just wants to tell you her side", Edward asks
"Please?", Renesmee asks now with impatience
Tanya nods and steps forward again and let Renesmee touch her cheek, I see the fear turn to wonder as my daughter shows her all her memories.When Renesmee removes her hand, Tanya looks at her family, bewildered.
"It's true."
They all look at Renesmee who was smirking.
"She's not immortal," Tanya says.
They all come over to see Renesmee properly.
"You're really are you daddy's daughter. Very talented", eleazar says
"What do you mean?", I ask
We all decided to go into my home.
"Your husband has a telepathy gift much like Edwards. That's why she was able to show us that. When he's changed or if he's changed he'll be able to read everyone", he says
Another mind reader I rolled my eyes.
"It's fascinating a mind reader for a father and uncle and a shield for a mother. No wonder Aro wants you", Eleazar says
I give him a strange look. Bruno sits Renesmee down and come stands by me.
"excuse me, What did you call me sister?", Edward asks
"I would like to know the same thing", Bruno says
"She's a shield. Edward if I can't get a read from her I'm doubting you can either", he says
Edward shakes his head.
"No not even when she was human, neither could Aro", Edward says
We all went to the living and sat down.
"Really", he says with wide eyes
"Jane, tried to attack me but couldn't at all", I added
"My gosh. She is a shield.", he gasps
Wow, I was special after all. I'm smiled to myself very satisfied.
I heard a knock on my door, I looked towards it, and then towards Edward.
