Jasper POV
Two day, two days my darling has been unconscious after those bastards hurt her. Carlisle has been watching over her and assured us all that she'll be okay, the most basic explanation is that her body is going through exhaustion. The connection she has to the nature in Forks especially around her home, usually keeps her strong but when it was damaged it created an effect like she had been surging for weeks without food, water, or sleep. Carlisle says her body has almost completely healed itself, but I won't be satisfied until I see those beautiful brown eyes again.
She looks so peaceful
Bageherra has been watching over her when the rest of us have to make appearances at school or work.
Thankfully we all still have the telepathic connection with him, so if anything changes he'll let us know. I hate being away from my mate, I trust Bageherra to keep her safe, but Major and I both know that no one will protect her as fiercely as we would. I can't pay attention in class- my soul keeps reaching out for her's hoping to feel some reaction from the bond.
I could feel her stirring almost like her consciousness is coming to the surface. Then I hear Bageherra in my head, "She's awake!"
My head snaps up and I look towards Edward, he smiles and looks at the clock. We only have 10 minutes left in this period- I'll stay for that, but she's awake now. I need to see her, feel her.
Adira POV
Waking up felt like swimming to the surface of a deep pool. My head felt foggy and my body was being weighed down. Opening my eyes, I saw Bageherra first he was snuggled into my side watching me, when he realized I was awake he quickly climbed on top of me and licked my face.
"Don't you ever worry me like that again cub, you had our entire family worried."
It still makes me smile to be reminded that Jasper and the Cullen's are our family now- that it's not just me and Bageherra against the world anymore. Jasper.... oh my baby must have been so worried.
"He's on his way, he has older your side, unless he absolutely needed to and even then he would only leave once someone else was here to watch over you."
That sounds like my man, I heard the front door open and shut quickly and sat up to get out of bed. Of course I have no time to look cute, and suddenly I don't care. Seeing him stroll in with that beautiful smile - to lock eyes and feel our souls intertwine again. I jumped out of bed straight into his arms. I missed the feeling of his arms around me.
"Sweetheart I have missed you more than you'll ever know." I didn't want to speak, I just craved him, every piece of him that I could have, I wanted in my arms. It's a good thing Jasper's and empathize...
"I'll just leave the two of you alone," Bageherra said before leaping out the window. Oops sorry Bageherra.
Jasper dipped his head into my neck and began to lay kisses and bites across my skin. "Darlin' tell me if you can't handle it right now."
" Don't you dare- being with you makes me feel better than anything else,"
He lifts me up and carries me back to bed, laying me down and starts to remove my clothes. If there's one thing I love about being with Jasper is he's passionate and he likes to take his time.
He said after over a century of being alone- he never wants to rush through our time together. We should savor every moment as if they were priceless jewels. Laying here with him now, I completely agree.
We keep kissing and petting each other, worshiping each other. Jasper seems to take a special attention to my neck.
As he kissed a path down my body, he stopped right above my heart and looked up at me. "I'm sorry, I let them hurt you. When I heard you scream- I thought my heart had stopped all over again. Seeing you on the floor- I wanted to give into the blood lust and kill all of those damn bastards. I'm so sorry darling, I promised that they would never hurt you and I failed."
Sitting up I made Jasper look me in the eyes, "Baby, that was not your fault, remember we don't know everything that they know. And even more so, who knows how may hunter are waiting to support them. This is not your fault, you protected me baby. If you, Major and Bageherra weren't here they could have done the same thing and walked off with me. I am so grateful for you Jasper Whitlock Hale- I love you"
Placing my lips on his again we didn't speak again unless it was to whisper sweet nothings to one another.
Time Skip to After Love-Making
Laying and enjoying each other's presence, Jasper and Adira were relaxing in the peace they brought one another. Sharing small kisses and enjoying the feel of their bodies pressed together- it was moments like this that they cherished the most. No words were needed, no extravagant gifts or gestures, just knowing that the one who loved you most was beside you. And then the front door slammed open
"ADIRA! JASPER!" Alice shouted as her heels clicked up the stairs. Groaning, Jasper squeezed Adira to his body and refused to let her up.
"Jasper, let me put on some clothes!"
"No were not getting out of this bed, she's gonna speak and then we're gonna continue with our night." He kisses her lips once, twice before bringing her into a long passionate one.
Alice barges into the bedroom and rushes to sit at the end of the bed. "Who is this, every time I try to see us beating the hunters this face appears and you seem to know him. I NEED TO KNOW WHO THIS IS!"
"That's my cousin, Raphael. Are you saying we won't beat the hunters unless we ask for Raphael's help?"
She nodded, " He's present in every vision where we win." While it was obvious that the need to call Raphael was present, Adira couldn't help but feel that there was more to why Alice wanted the warlock here.
"Alice is there another reason why you needed to know who Raphael was?" Adira couldn't help but smirk and get excited for her guess. Her mate feeling her excitement didn't hold back his smirk either.
If vampires could blush, Alice would be as red as her favorite pumps. "I think he's my mate, no I know he is, just seeing him in my visions I wanted to mark him automatically. So you need to hurry up and call him so we can get rid of these hunters and I can start my happily ever after!!!"
Jasper and Adira couldn't help but chuckle at Alice's logic. Alice jumped over to the bedside table and threw Adira her phone.
Sitting up, Adira dialed her cousin's number. She was happy for Raphael and Alice, they deserved each other. Plus she and Raphael have always been close, in fact if he hadn't been finishing school he would've moved out to Forks to be with Adira. But fate has a way of working itself out.
The line finally picks up, "Hey Raph, do you still wanna move to Forks with me? I've got plenty of space and just the woman for you to meet!"
"Little Adira, just send me the address!"
