Your POV
My final year of college was ending in a few weeks. So of course, what was college without finals and all those fun tests? Berklee had been my dream college, and while I was glad to be there, I wouldn't miss all the difficult problems.
I was currently working on the first of three essays. The different music modes. Most people only thought of major and minor, but there was actually seven (technically eight) different ones, which were all either minor, major, or diminished. Needless to say, it wasn't easy to explain, but I had to do it.
Typing quickly, I wasn't aware of my boyfriend's presence in the room. 'Three of the minor music modes are the Aeolian, which is similar to the natural minor scale, the Dorian, which corresponds to the natural minor scale with a major--'
"(Y/N)," John spoke in a teasing tone. I felt his hand on my arm, making me stop typing.
"John, I'm busy right n..now." His hand rested on my cheek, making both of them start to turn a light shade of pink. It never helped that John was such a charmer, and then there was me, who flustered real easily.
"Sugar, you've been workin' for a couple hours now. C'mon~"
I shook my head. "Everything is due within the next few days. I can't take a break.." I ignored the heat in my cheeks as he gently played with my hair.

"Baby girl, I know you're still listenin' to me," John prodded. I didn't have to look to know he was smirking.
"No I'm not..." I muttered, continuing to type. "Now let me work.."
"No can do."
He leaned down, kissing my cheek and leaving little kisses down to my jaw. I bit my lip, trying to cool off my dark cheeks. "John, I sw-swear..."
"Swear to what?" John teased. "I know you're enjoyin' this, sugar."
I pushed him away with one hand, still writing. "Nope."

One essay down, two to go. I still had studying to do along with some notes...
"(Y/N)~"
I mentally sighed, continuing to type hurriedly. "What?"
"Ready to take a break, doll?"
"No, I still--" I stopped speaking when John walked over, holding onto my hands and forcing me to turn my chair towards him.
I felt my cheeks flare up when he lifted my hands, placing a kiss on both of them. "Johnnnn.." I whined.
John simply smiled charmingly, letting go of my hands only to place them on my cheeks, leaning down and kissing me.
I pulled back after a moment. "You're going to get me off track.." I mumbled, turning my chair back to my laptop.
"Ain't that the point, baby girl?" he answered, running a hand through my (H/C) hair.
I ignored my blush, closing my laptop. I saw the triumph in John's hazel eyes as I stood up. However, I picked up my laptop, sticking it in my bag and picking it up. "That is not the point. I'll be studying with Lucy if you need me."
Before I could walk out the door, John pulled me back by my waist, holding me against him. "I ain't lettin' you go just yet, doll."
"S-Shut up..." I muttered. "Let me go finish things. I'm almost doneee!"
I tried wriggling out of his grip, but that didn't work. "John, sweetheart..."
"All you have to do is take a break, doll. Then I'll stop."
I got an idea, relaxing in his grip slightly. John noticed, loosening his grip. When he least expected it, I pushed out of his grip. "Sorry! I'll see you later!" With that, I ran out of the room, cheeks still tinted rose.
