By NutellaEmpress

Matthews Apartment.

Riley, Elliot, and Cory are hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree.

"Honey, this is our first year hosting the holidays. Is your mom gonna go easy on me?" Topanga asked Cory.

"You want comfort or truth?" Cory asked.

"Comfort." Topanga smiled.

"It's gonna be hideous," Cory told her.

"I said I want you to comfort me!" Topanga whined.

"It's gonna be hideous." Cory hugged her.

Topanga sighed.

"It's Maya's first time with us, and I need the holiday to go good for her," Riley told her parents.

Topanga smiled.

"Well, I need the holiday to be good for your mother," Cory told her.

"Liar!" Topanga called him out.

"Liar!" Cory pointed to himself

"I need the holiday to be good for Shawn. Shawn's coming!" Cory cheered.

"Speaking of best friends. Farkle might be coming, he's not sure yet. Last year his parents had to leave last minute because of emergency meetings."  Elliot told his parents.

"He's welcome anytime sweetie," Topanga told him.

The intercom buzzed.

"Shawn?!" Cory ran to it and pushed the button.

"Maya!" Maya answered.

"Shawn?!" Cory asked again, hopeful.

"Aw, what's the matter? Your boyfriend's not here yet?" Maya teased.

"He's not my boyfriend!" Cory yelled.

"Oh, then what are we going to do with this 'Cory and Shawn 4-evah!' Ornament?" Topanga asked holding the ornament.

"Oh, that? That goes right in front of the 'Cory and Topanga Wedding' ornament." Cory smiled and did ss he said.

Elliot and Riley raised eyebrows at Topanga.

"My whole life," Topanga told them.

"Auggie, wanna help with dinner?' Topanga asked and took him to the kitchen.

"I don't even think he exists." Maya entered.

"He's real, Maya. I've known the guy my whole life, and he's real." Cory told her.

"You're fun to play with."  Maya smiled.

Maya went to Riley.

"Riley, I got you a present."  Maya handed him a paper.

"A donation's been made in your name to the Maya new winter coat fund. " Riley read.

Maya showed off her coat.

"Thank you, it's beautiful."  Rieley smiled.

"I'm glad you like it. I never know what to get people." Maya told her.

Elliot walked up to her.

"Merry Christmas Maya." Elliot smiled.

"Merry Christmas El." Maya smiled.

Elliot pulled mistletoe out of his pocket and raised it above Maya and himself.

"Oh, how did that get there? We can't ignore tradition now can we?" Elliot smirked.

"Fine." Maya leaned in.

Elliot's eyes widened with excitement as he leaned in a well.

Maya suddenly kissed his cheek and then turned to Riley.

"Oh come on." Elliot sighed.

"So, what's the deal on the mysterious Uncle Shawn?" Maya asked Riley.

"I don't see him a lot. I don't think he likes Elliot and me."  Riley told her.

"Elliot and I and no he doesn't," Elliot confirmed.

"Kids." Cory looked at them shocked.

"How could someone not like you both?" Maya asked.

"Ask him and let us know," Riley told her.

The intercom buzzed.

"Shawn!" Cory ran to it and pressed a button.

"No, it's your parents, " came Alan's voice.

"Rats!" Cory sighed.

"Let me explain how a speaker box works," Alan said.

"These holidays are important to me, Alan. How much of a fiasco do you think it's gonna be?" Amy asked.

Topanga looked offended.

"Let me explain how a speaker box works," Alan repeated after a moment.

"Hideous already," Cory told Topanga.

'How about I throw this pot at you?!" Topanga held a pot.

"They don't think you're real, but I know you are," Cory told the ornament with Shawn's face on it.

Topanga threw a pot at Cory but he caught it.

"She tried to hurt you, Shawn." Cory cooed at the ornament.

Maya looked at him weirdly.

The bell rang

"Grandpa, grandma!" Auggie ran to the door and opened it.

"Hello." They smiled at Auggie.

"Here's 10 bucks. Write to me better."  Alan told Auggie.

"Okay." Auggie nodded.

"Here's cookies." Amy gave Auggie a plate of cookies.

"Thanks, here's 10 bucks." Auggie gave her ten bucks.

Alan looked confused.

"And that's how you do that." Amy put the money in her pocket.

They came inside.

"Riley, Elliot, Maya!" Alan smiled.

"Yay!" They all cheered.

Riley, Elliot, and Maya hugged Alan.

"Topanga."  Amy hugged Topanga.

"Hello." Topanga hugged her back.

"I just know you are gonna pull off the most fantastic holiday." Amy smiled.

"Oh, mom, I just heard you outside."  Topanga fake smiled.

"How?" Amy asked.

"I explained that to you," Alan told her.

"Well, now that it's out in the open, let's take a look at what you're doing wrong." Amy took her to the kitchen.

Topanga nervous laughed and turned to Cory. He gave her an encouraging thumbs-up.

"Ah, wow! Look at all these kids. It wasn't that long ago I had kids around the house." Alan put his coat away.

"Yeah, it was just this morning, wasn't it, dad?" Josh entered as he threw Alan the keys.

"Oh, yeah yeah, you." Alan pointed to Josh.

"Boing!" Maya pointed to Josh.

"Ha, that's my Uncle, Maya," Riley told her.

"Sweet, I would be your aunt." Maya smiled.

"No, sweetheart we've been through this you're gonna be her sister-in-law, not her aunt," Elliot told Maya.

Maya rolled her eyes.

"Joshie!" Auggie ran to Josh.

"Auggie! Come here." Josh point Auggie on his shoulders.

"I love it up here!" Auggie smiled.

'My brother." Cory smiled

"My brother." Josh smiled.

They pumped fists.

"How's it possible we're brothers?" Cory asked.

"Because it's a surprise!" Josh yelled in Alan's face.

"Stop doing that," Alan told him.

"Aw, dad's so proud of himself. He gets into movies for like a quarter." Josh put an arm around Alan and told Cory.

Josh then put Auggie down on the couch.

Elliot, Riley, and Maya walked up to him.

"Uncle Josh." Riley went to him.

"Riley." He smiled.

They hugged.

"Uncle Josh." Elliot hugged him.

"El." Josh hugged back.

"Uncle Josh." Mays hugged him.

"Uh, I'm not your Uncle, Maya." Josh awkwardly stood there.

"Even better." Maya smiled as she continued to hug him.

Elliot frowned.

Riley got Maya off of Josh.

"It's-it's been a while." Josh nodded.

"Sure has." Maya smiled.

"Well boy, you grew up gorgeous."  Josh scratched the back his neck nervously and walked away.

Maya smiled widely.

Elliot glared at Josh.

"You are not going to be my aunt,"  Riley told Maya.

Maya: I...can't hear you.

Maya sang, ignoring Riley.

Josh, Alan, and Cory were sitting on the couch.

"Happy holidays, dad. I'm glad you could make it." Cory smiled.

'Aw, thank you, Cory.' Alan smiled.

"Happy holidays, dad. I'm glad you could make it." Auggie copied Cory as he sat down with them.

Cory laughed.

"Well, thank you, Auggie." Cory smiled.

Cory then began eating something off a tray.

Shawn entered, singled everyone to keep quiet and sat next to Auggie.

"Gee, Cor, I thought you'd be more excited to see me," Shawn spoke up.

Cory turned around and gasped.

"Yay!" Cory cheered and the two best friends hugged, Auggie was left in the middle.

"I told you he was real!" Cory hissed at Maya.

Auggie managed to escape.

"I'm okay, I'm alive." Auggie gaped for air and went to Topanga.

"So, that's us, huh?"  Maya asked Riley.

"So I've been told," Riley told her.

"Hey, Shawn. Am I cooler than you yet?" Josh asked as he said up.

"Oh, not yet, but I'm getting nervous." Shawn stood up and they hugged.

Topanga went to Shawn.

"Hey, Mrs. Cory.'  Shawn smiled at Topanga.

"Hey, Mr. Cory." Topanga smiled and they hugged.

"You two. How great is this? My favorite person in the world and my wife." Cory smiled.

Topanga turned around.

"My whole life," Topanga said and went back to the kitchen.

"Hey, Shawn. How you doin'?" Alan stood up.

"I keep movin', Mr. Matthews." Shawn hugged him.

"We're glad you're here."  Amy went to Shawn and hugged him.

"Are you hungry?" She asked.

"Yeah." Shawn nodded.

"Good luck with that," Amy replied and turned towards the kitchen.

"I am right here." Topanga fake smiled.

Amy giggled and went back to the kitchen.

"Hi, Uncle Shawn"' Riley awkwardly greeted.

"How is ya doin'?" Elliot asked.

"Yeah, hey, kids." Shawn greeted and went to Cory.

" 'Yeah. Hey, kids'?" Maya questioned.

"It's getting better. Last time it was just-" Riley nodded.

"Maybe he's just not a big talker," Maya told her.

"Cor, time to talk. We got a lot to catch up on." Shawn told Cory.

"You were saying?" Elliot asked Maya.

"Let's go," Maya told them.

"You guys go ahead. I'll come in a while." Elliot told the girls.

Maya and Riley went to Riley's room.

Elliot went up to Josh.

"What's up to Elliot?" Josh asked.

"Maya likes you." Elliot frowned.

"Aw, man I'm so sorry. If it helps I don't like her back." Josh told him, the whole family knew how Elliot felt about Maya.

"Then you're an idiot," Elliot told him.

Josh looked offended.

"How could you not like her? She talented, speaks her mind, has a big heart, heck her name is Hart and she is the most beautiful girl on the planet. She has perfect golden curls...and her eyes...I want to swim in those Ocean Blue eyes." Elliot said all of this as he stared into space.

He was soon back to reality.

"Anyway, thanks for trying to cheer me up, " with that Elliot left.

Riley's Room

The girls were sitting in the bay window.

"So that's your dad's me?" Maya asked.

"Uh-huh." Riley nodded.

"We're them?" Maya asked.

"Uh-huh." Riley nodded.

"I don't see it." Maya shook her head.

Living Room Bay window. Cory and Shawn were sitting.

Shawn and Cory were sitting.

"So that's Riley's me?" Shawn asked.

"Uh-huh." Cory nodded.

"They're us?" Shawn asked.

"Uh-huh." Cory nodded.

"I don't see it." Shawn shook his head.

"Hey, Shawn, come on. Why don't you move back to the city? The apartment above us is for rent." Cory told him.

"Cor, this is real life, not a TV show. I'm not your wacky neighbor." Shawn told him.

"But you could be. It's 'The Cory and Shawn show'." Cory told him.

Cory: Cory and Shawn in the big city and nobody talks but them

Shawn: I'll be a cop and you run the deli and nobody talks

Both: But them!

Maya came into the room

"I wanna talk to you," Maya told Shawn.

"Did you not just hear our song?"  Cory asked.

"What's that?'" Shawn asked.

"That's Maya. She thinks she's tough." Cory told Shawn with attitude.

"Scram," Maya told Cory.

"Okay." Cory sat in a corner.

Shawn and Maya sat together.

"I've heard stories about you. You're great in the stories. I don't see it yet." Mays looked Shawn up and down.

"Okay." Shawn nodded.

"Riley and I are the best friends on this planet." Maya smiled.

"Well, that's cute. 'Cause Cory and I are the best friends in all of existence. Which includes your little crummy planet." Shawn smirked.

Maya bit the inside of her cheek, annoyed.

"Girls, what are you doing here?" Elliot asked coming to them.

"We have Elliot," Maya smirked.

"We have Topanga," Shawn smirked

"What is going on?" Elliot asked confused.

"Cory and I finish each other's-" Shawn began.

"Sentences!" Cory smiled.

"Yeah? That all you do?" Maya smirked.

"Because Maya-" Riley began.

"And I -" Maya continued.

"Can read-"  Riley continued.

'Each other's-" Maya began.

"Minds." Riley finished.

"Ready? What am I thinking of?" Riley asked Maya.

"One, two, three! Pizza! One, two, three, clouds! One, two, three, Farkle!"  They said in unions.

"Yeah, right. Like we can't do that." Cory scoffed.

"We can't,"  Shawn told him.

"One, two, three! Rainbows!" Cory shouted.

"Can't do it! That's pretty impressive. I still find it hard to believe that you're the female version of me."  Shawn told Maya.

"Why do you make Riley and Elliot feel bad?" Maya asked.

Shawn looked taken back.

"I don't mean to," Shawn told them.

"Well, you do. And that's not cool with me at all. So I just wanted to tell you that." Maya told Shawn.

The three began to leave.

"Hey. Maybe you are the female version of me." Shawn told Maya.

"God I hope not," Elliot spoke up.

"What's that suppose to me?" Shawn looked offended.

Elliot rolled his eyes.

"Come on, darlings," Elliot told the girls.

Maya and Riley linked arms with Elliot and they left. ______________________________________

Josh and Auggie were covering Alan with Christmas decorations on the couch.

"Hold this, will you?" Josh gave Auggie a decoration.

"Should we be doing this?" Auggie asked innocently.

"Absolutely," Josh told him.

"What the difference between having a younger daddy and an older daddy?" Auggie asked.

"Younger daddy doesn't fall asleep in the middle of a party?" Josh replied in a questioning tone.

Auggie pointed to Cory and Shawn sleeping on the same couch.

Shawn snored.

'Yip yip yip yip yip.' Cory said in his sleep.

"How could you possibly not like Riley and Elliot?" Maya asked waking Cory and Shawn up.

"Maya." Riley sighed.

"Let it go," Elliot told her.

"What is she talking about?" Shawn asked waking up.

"Whenever you do come here, it's like you find some excuse not to talk to us and then you leave," Riley told him.

"I talk to you two I'm talking to you right now," Shawn said sitting up.

"Do you know anything about us: when's our birthday?"  Elliot asked.

"Kids, that doesn't matter," Shawn told them.

"It does matter. Tell us what you know." Maya demanded.

"Shawn knows the twins' birthday," Cory told them.

"How do you know?" Riley asked.

"He knows." Cory told them.

Topanga and Amy were in the kitchen.

"What you got there?" Amy asked Topanga as she was stirring the pot.

"Butternut Squash Soup." Topanga tods her.

"My, my specialty? Did you make my specialty? How could you make- Amy began freaking out.

Topanga put a spoon full of the soup in Amy's mouth.

"Because I wanted you to know that even though the holidays are here now, you will always have a part in putting them together," Topanga told her sweetly.

"Tastes just like mine." Amy smiled as she took the spoon out of her mouth.

"That's because I used your recipe. In fact, I used your recipe to put together the whole day." Topanga told her.

"Thank you." Amy smiled.

"Thank you. Dinner, everybody!" Topanga called everyone.

They all made their way to the dinner table.

Dinner Table
The food was now finished.

"Five minutes?! That dinner took two days to cook. You animals ate it in five minutes!" Topanga shouted.

Josh chuckled.

"What's for dessert, mom?" Riley asked.

Cory looked eager.

"Nothin'! I want you to sit there for two days and think about that dinner you just devoured, and then maybe I'll give you a cupcake." Topanga told her.

"Well, I thought it was great, Topanga. Thank you. I don't get a lot of home-cooked meals." Shawn thanked her.

Topanga smiled.

"How's the job going, Shawn?" Cory asked.

"Oh, you do something?" Maya asked with attitude.

"Yeah, I write for a site called 'Hit the Road.' Go to a lot of different places and tell you if it's worth a weekend." Shawn told her.

"I-I go on that site." Maya nodded.

"So do I." Elliot nodded.

"Restless little spirits, huh?" Shawn asked.

"No, I just think about-"  Maya began.

"Other places?" Shawn asked.

"Sometimes.' Maya narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah," Shawn smirked.

"Yeah, you take the pictures too." Maya narrowed her eyes at him.

"I do. How'd you guess that?"  Shawn asked?

"I draw pictures," Maya told him.

"Yeah?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah." Maya nodded.

"I'm gonna say 'yeah' last, okay?"  Shawn asked.

"Very mature," Maya remarked.

"Yeah," Shawn said slowly.

Maya mouthed 'yeah.'

Shawn glared at her.

"Elliot writes," Maya told him.

"Yeah, I know. You're writing a book right?" Shawn asked Elliot.

"How did you know that?'  Elliot asked.

"Cory told me," Shawn told him.

Elliot turned to his dad.

"I figured you're godfather should know what your hobbies are," Cory told him.

"Godfather?!" The twins asked in unions.

Maya let out a low whistle.

"Why did you think you're middle name was 'Shawn'?"  Cory asked.

"I just thought you were obsessed with him," Elliot told his dad.

Cory looked at him weirdly.

Topanga chuckled.

"Who's my godfather?"  Riley asked.

"Eric,"  Cory told her.

"Always the lucky one Riles." Elliot smiled at Riley.

"Elliot!" Cory and Topanga scolded him.

"Ok seriously kid? You and your little girlfriend are fighting with me that I don't like you and your sister. But I think you don't like me." Shawn told Elliot off.

"I'm not his girlfriend,"  Maya told Shawn.

"Yet. And I just don't like that I don't have any relationship with my Godfather. You still haven't answered the question of when is our birthday?"  Elliot told Shawn.

Shawn gave Cory a look.

"He knows, Elliot," Cory told Elliot.

"You keep on saying that. Why won't he answer? What did we do?"  Elliot asked.

Shawn got up and reached the door, everyone watched him.

"You're coming or what?" Shawn asked.

The three got up and followed Shawn.

Sikorski's Bakery
Riley, Maya, and Elliot were playing around with their dessert.

"December 8th," Shawn stated.

The kids looked shocked.

"What?" Elliot asked.

"Your birthday?" Shawn gave the twins a look.

"That doesn't save you. I know their birthday, but I don't abandon my friends to hit the road." Maya told him off

"Whoa." Riley was shocked at Maya's words.

"You think that's fair?"  Shawn asked.

"I do." Maya nodded.

"Then this is fair too. What time were they born? How much did they weigh? How tall were they?" Shawn asked.

"Uh-oh." The trio said in unions.

"Elliot was five in the morning, 8 pounds 3 ounces, 22 inches. Riley was 6 in the morning, 7 pounds, four ounces, 21 inches. I was there all night. I was the first person to hold you both after your parents. Riley looked like this." Shawn made a face.

Riley smiled.

"She still does," Maya told him.

Riley made the face at Maya.

Maya and Elliot laughed.

"I was the only one who could make Elliot laugh, Cory and Topanga were so jealous."  Shawn chuckled remembering.

The kids laughed.

"Why do you remember it all so well?" Riley laughed.

"It was the day I left New York City," Shawn told her.

Elliot frowned.

"City wasn't big enough for the three of you?" Maya asked.

"That's not the reason." Shawn shook his head.

"Then what is?" Elliot asked.

"When people get married and they have kids, sometimes their old friends who didn't keep up start to feel a little out of place."  Shawn sighed.

"Please don't make us the reason that you don't stick around," Riley told him.

"No, I'm the reason. It's on me. Your parents are the best people I've ever met in my life." Shawn told her.

"Then you should really love these two. Because I love them." Maya told Shawn.

"You love me?" Elliot smirked.

"I meant as a friend." Maya gave Elliot a look.

"Sure," Elliot smirked.

"They're exactly like their parents. Riley's Mr. Matthews and Elliot's Mrs. Matthews." Maya told Shawn.

Shawn seemed uncomfortable.

"He does love us." Riley turned to Maya.

"What?" Maya asked.

"He loves our parents and we come from them, so he loves us," Riley told Maya.

"He loves us so much that he can't even look at us." Elliot realized.

"I'm right here," Shawn said awkwardly.

Riley and Elliot went over to sit next to Shawn.

"Look at us,"  Elliot told him.

"I'm looking at you," Shawn said awkwardly.

"Look at us." Riley grabbed Shawn's face and forced him to look at her and Elliot.

Shawn smiled.

"What?" Riley asked.

"You're Cory with Topanga's hair. You got lucky." Shawn told Riley.

Shawn looked at Elliot.

"You're completely Topanga, you got extra lucky," Shawn told him.

The twins smiled at Shawn.

"Is it okay if I say something scary?" Riley asked.

"I hardly think a 13-year-old girl can say anything that would scare me," Shawn told her.

"What about a 13-year-old boy? Every time you see us, does it remind you of what you don't have?" Elliot asked.

"Check!" Shawn yelled for a check.
______________________________________

Riley, Maya, Elliot, and Shawn entered the apartment.

"Get in there!" Riley ordered Cory.

"Uh, Riley, you do not command a grown man," Cory told her.

"You!" Riley pointed to Cory.

"Who, me?" Cory asked.

"Both of you. Go to her room."  Elliot ordered Cory and Shawn.

Shawn and Cory were about to go to Riley's room when Cory whispered:

"This would never happen on 'The Cory and Shawn show'."
______________________________________

Riley's Bay Window. Cory and Shawn were sitting.

"What do they want from us?" Shawn asked.

"This is Riley, Elliot and Maya's spot," Cory told him.

"They just sit here?" Shawn asked.

"For hours. They just sit and pour their hearts out."  Cory told him.

Riley and Elliot came in.

"Tell him how you feel right now," Elliot demanded, with that, they left.

"I missed you, Shawn," Cory said immediately.

"I missed you more," Shawn told him.

"I missed you something fierce," Cory told him.

"Boy, this window's powerful. Wait wait a minute. They've got you trapped in your own home?" Shawn asked.

'Oh, it's not just the twins It's all of them." Cory told him.

"You lost it, pal." Shawn opened the window and was about to leave.

"Oh, yeah, good luck. Like that's gonna work." Cory scoffed.

Shawn began to leave out the window when Maya came through it and stopped him.

"And you're back." Cory smiled.

"Yeah yeah, they might be as good as us," Shawn admitted.

Riley and Elliot entered.

"Look, you two, I know when I'm being set up. I know when I'm in the middle of somebody's scheme." Shawn stood up.

"Yeah, we're the king of schemes." Cory stood up.

The twins just smiled at them.

Cory and Shawn sat down again.

"We were kings," Cory told the twins.

The twins raised their eyebrows.

"Look at us, Shawnie." Cory sighed.

"What's the scam, twins?" Shawn asked desperately.

"Why did you really move out of the city?" Riley asked.

And the twins began to leave.

"Are you two doing this to keep me and Cory together? 'Cause we're fine. We don't need this.' Shawn told them.

"We know that. We have our eyes on a much bigger prize." Elliot told him as Riley smiled.

They left.

"Cor, don't take this the wrong way, but your twins are strange little birds," Shawn told him.

"Shawn, why did you really move out of the city?" Cory asked.

"You were preoccupied with your wife and your birds," Shawn told him.

"I was not preoccupied," Cory told him.

"How long have I been away?" Shawn asked.

"Three weeks," Cory answered.

"13 years. Cory, life changed when you had the kids. I don't know how to be the cool Uncle." Shawn told him.

Josh came in with Auggie on his shoulders.

"Oh. Well, we interrupt 'Two Grown Men In A Girl's Bedroom Window' for this special announcement." Josh said in a charming tv voice.

"Mom says to come down to open presents," Auggie told them.

"We now return to 'Two Grown Men In A Girl's Bedroom Window.'."

Josh: There are two grown men, in a girls bedroom window and nobody thinks that's weird.

"A-wink." Josh winked after singing.

"I would never watch that show," Auggie said as they left.

"See? Cool Uncle's already taken." Shawn told Cory.

"Ladies and Elliot." Farkle came through the window.

Shawn and Corey were shocked.

"Oh. Excuse me, do I have the right house?" Farkle asked awkwardly.

Shawn stared at him in shock.

"Minkus?" Shawn questioned in shock.

"Yes." Farkle nodded.

Cory chuckled.

"Cory, what's this here?" Shawn asked in shock.

"Shawn, this is Farkle Minkus." Cory introduced him.

"Get out of here!" Shawn said in shock.

"I'm Stuart Minkus' son," Farkle said proudly.

"Minkus reproduced?!" Shawn asked in shock.

"Yeah. What do you think? He was cloned in a lab or something?" Cory asked as he laughed.

"Look at him," Shawn said seriously

They both stared at Farkle.

"Huh, Farkle, have you ever actually seen your birth certificate?" Cory asked.

"Huh, if you'll excuse me, I have some questions I need to take care of."  Farkle was about to leave.

Elliot came in, dragged him inside and took him to the living room.

"Wow. I mean, even Minkus? Hey, Cor." Shawn began thinking

"Yeah?" Cory asked.

"What's it like to have children?" Shawn asked.

"Shawn, my life began when I had twins," Cory told him.

"Elliot's right. I moved out of the city because every time I came here it reminded me of what I didn't have."  Shawn sighed.

"Shawn, find someone. Begin your life." Cory told him softly.

"Thank you. You have served your purpose." Riley dragged Cory away and Elliot dragged Maya in.

"Wait. What are you doing?"  Cory and Maya asked at the same time.

"Ask him about his parents," Riley told Maya.

"Riley, Elliot." Cory gave them a look.

"Look at them. They're us." Elliot told Cory.

"Come here. Was this both your idea?" Cory asked he put an arm around the twins.

"What do you think?" Elliot asked.

"I think you two are the new kings," Cory told him.

They hugged him.

"Yeah. Well, we did learn from the best." Riley told Cory.

"I'm actually self-taught." Elliot smiled.

Both Cory and Riley gave him a look.

"Fine, I guess it's in my blood," Elliot admitted.

They began to leave.

"Uh, Cory? What's going on?"  Shawn asked.

"Riley, Elliot what are you two trying to do here?" Maya asked.

"You got this, buddy," Cory told Shawn.

"You got this, buddy." Elliot and Riley said in unions and left.

"Okay, fine. So, what about your parents?" Maya asked.

"Okay, fine. Um, my dad was in and out half the time." Shawn told her.

"I got half a mom," Maya told him.

"Well, my mom took off when I was a kid," Shawn told her.

"My dad has another family," Maya told him.

"I would never let anybody grow up like that." Shawn shook his head in disbelief.

"You wouldn't?" Maya asked.

"No," Shawn asked.

"Oh. You wouldn't?" Maya asked a second time.

"No." Shawn shook his head.

Maya gave him a look.

"Oh." Shawn said embarssed.

Meanwhile. Farkle and Elliot were in the living. Farkle had already greeted everyone.

"What are you doing here buddy? I thought your parents were home for Christmas." Elliot told him.

"They are but I figured every year you guys take care of me. I should at least come and visit."  Farkle told him.

"Awww." Everyone cooed.

"Well Farkle, at least take these cupcakes for  your family." Topanga gave him a box filled with cupcakes.

"You said we couldn't have cupcakes,"  Elliot told her.

"I said that for you and Riley, not for him." Topanga told him.

Living Room
Farkle had left.

"Topanga. We had an amazing childhood together. But it's over now. It's better now. This family you've given me Topanga, it's everything. Am I everything to you?" Cory asked.

"My whole life." Topanga put and hand on Cory's chest.

Cory held out Topanga's gift.

"Aw, Cory. There is no greater gift than hearing you say that. What else could you have possibly gotten me?"  Topanga asked.

"A massage at the spa and gift certificates for going out to dinner all next week," Cory told her.

"Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme."  Topanga eagerly sat down with her gift.

"So, what did you get me?' Amy asked Alan.

"Same thing!" Alan threw a small box on the floor and hugged Amy.

Cory sat next to him.

"Good husband, good father, good son. Good for you." Alan told Cory.

"Thanks, dad. I had you at your best."  Cory smiled.

Alan chuckled.

"No, no, I have him at his best. Surprise."  Josh came from behind and put her small around his big brother and dad.

"So, listen, I have an assignment next weekend up in Columbia County, upstate New York. It's beautiful up there." Shawn told them.

"We're gonna miss you, Shawn," Cory told him.

"Well, maybe not. 'Cause I was thinking maybe you might wanna come?" Shawn asked.

"All of us?" Auggie asked.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."  Shawn put his arm around Auggie.

"You know-" Riley began.

"Here it comes." Cory looked at Topanga.

"I never go anywhere without my best friend," Riley told Shawn.

"Yeah, that's not a bad way to grow up," Topanga told Shawn.

"So maybe you would like to invite Maya?" Riley asked.

"Oh, you mean her?" Shawn asked fake cluelessly.

Maya chuckled.

"Oh, what do you say, kid? You wanna come?" Shawn asked Maya.

"Yeah." Maya nodded.

"Can I invite someone too?"  Elliot asked.

"Sure. Who?" Shawn asked.

'Here we go again.' Cory looked at Topanga.

"Farkle,"  Elliot told Shawn.

"You're friends with Minkus's kid?!"  Shawn asked shocked.

"He's my best friend. Why are you so surprised?" Elliot asked.

"Just a little, considering how Cory and I treated Minkus  back in our day."  Shawn chuckled remembering.

"How did you and dad treat Mr. Minkus?" Elliot asked cautiously.

Elliot couldn't see but Cory shook his head at Shawn, indicating he shouldn't tell Elliot the truth.

"Uh...really well? We were close...the best of friends." Shawn said awkwardly.

"Mmm." Elliot didn't believe him.

"You're invited too," Maya told Josh.

"Cool." Josh smiled.

"Oh, boy." Riley sighed.

Elliot sighed as well.

Sikorski's Bakery

Shawn, Maya, Elliot, Riley, Cory, Topanga and Auggie were sitting in a booth.

"Elliot, this is a Christmas present from me."  Shawn gave him a present.

Elliot opened it and saw it was a journal.

"A journal?' Elliot asked.

"I know you type your chapters on a laptop but you can always brainstorm in this, write drafts here and just type the final version," Shawn told him.

'Thanks, Uncle Shawn.' Elliot smiled.

Shawn smiled back.

"Riley, this is for you." Shawn gave her his camera.

"Your camera?" Riley asked.

"I got a few. But I figured with Maya being good at drawing pictures, maybe you'd be good at taking them."  Shawn told her.

"Yeah, now you guys can be inspired together," Topanga told her.

"Yeah. Good old friends should never be apart too long."  Cory smiled at Shawn.

"New friends either." Shawn smiled.

"Yeah." Maya agreed.

"Yeah." Shawn narrowed his eyes at Maya.

"Yeah."  Maya narrowed her eyes as well.

"Okay." Shawn nodded after a moment.

Maya smiled.

They all took a picture.

Chapter 16: Christmas: The season of surprises

I never thought that someone who ignored me when he came to visit would care so much about me. My Godfather did. I didn't even know Shawn was My Godfather.

Christmas surprised me this year My Godfather cared about me a lot, he loved me so much that he couldn't look at me. He knew everything about me: my hobbies, what time I was born, how much I weighed when I was born, how tall was I when I born and he even knew how I felt about My Girl, he called her my 'girlfriend.'  Forget the season of miracles Christmas is for sure the season of surprises in my eyes.

I hope next year's surprise makes the 'girlfriend' assumption My Godfather made true...one can never stop dreaming.
