"Holy Shit! I almost pissed myself!" Riley breathed after a scary scene. We're at the movies on a Saturday night. I'm with my two girl besties Riley and Lea. I'm also with my guy bestie Lucas and his friend.
I've always been a fan of horror movies. I love the feeling of your heart getting faster when a scary scene is showing. Lucas and I always see horror films when they come out in theaters. We just decided to bring people this time.
Lucas brought his friend Jake. I knew him but never talked to him. I saw him glance at me a few times earlier. He probably thinks i'm weird looking.
I mean I dress differently than everyone else. I have a vintage look. All the girls at my school dress slutty. Even one of my friends Riley, but I still love her. I like to wear over sized clothing. Not skin tight, other than my skinny jeans. My other friend Lea has more of a preppy look. I personally think it suits her. Lucas has a laid back style, but still clean cut. His friends Jake has mores of a sporty guy look.
I'm pretty sure the movie ended because the lights are turning on in the theatre. I grab my empty popcorn bag and head for the trash. "Shit!" I tripped over a seat.
Realizing i didn't hit the ground yet, I turn around to see Jake holding my hips. "Thanks." I mumble shyly. "No problem!" He gives me a cheeky smile.
I probably looked really stupid. "So...did you enjoy the movie?" He asks me. I really didn't pay attention but i just nodded.
"What was your favorite part?" Crap. "Um that one part where..the guy...scares the girl..and.." He cuts me off "You didn't pay attention did you?"
Damn this guy can read me good! "Not really." I admit. I see Lea and Riley approaching us.
"Hey! So Lucas said we should go out to dinner." Lea said "Sounds good I'm a bit hungry." I look down at my empty popcorn bucket. I eat alot.
"So where to?" Lucas says as we get into the car. "How about Chipotles?" Riley said. I nodded my head in excitement. I fricken love Chipotles. I could eat it everyday. "Chipotles it is." Lucas grins.
"You know I never had Chipotles before. Is it good?" Jake says. My mouth just drops open. I cannot believe he just said that.
"You have got to be kidding me!" I say. Riley just rolls her eyes Lucas joins the conversation. "Good thing we're going then." Jake laughs. "I guess so."
When we get there we decide to sit outside. I'm in between Lea and Riley. Jake is across form me and Lucas is next to him.
"So how do you like it?" i ask him. "Eh its okay I guess." Lea laughs knowing that I'm stunned at his answer. "Okay? Just okay!?"Jake gives me a grin.
"I'm just kidding this is actually really tasty!" I let out a small smile. "Never joke with Ella about Chipotles." Lucas says. I just playfully grin at him.
It's the last weekend of summer. Then we have to go back to the hell hole we call school. I'm just thinking about how the school year is going to turn out. Hopefully decent.
We're heading back to our suburb. It's a beautiful starry night so Lucas has his roof down on his convertible.
"Hey I have an idea." Riley's says with big eyes. We all look in her direction except for Lucas his eyes are on the road. " We should go to my place! My parents arn't home and I know where they keep the booze!" At that moment we all smirk. "So Riley's house it is!" Lucas says behind the wheel.
I sent my dad a quick text saying that im going to sleepover at Riley's. He lets me. I'm his little girl. It's easy to convince him, but my mom is a different story. I have a great relationship with my mom it's just she's a bit more strict. After what feels like hours we finally reach Riley's house.
Lets just say Riley has money. Her father own a record label so he makes good money. She unlocks the front door and turns to smile at us and smile. "Mi casa es su casa!" She says in her best Spanish accent. I just laugh at her.
"Can I borrow some comfier clothes Riley?" Lea asks. "Sure you know where they are." She says. I swear if someone broke in and stole some clothes, Riley wouldn't even notice because she has so many.
"Me too?" I ask sheepishly. "Yeah go ahead. I don't care." I smile at her. "Thanks."
Me and Lea go upstairs to her bedroom. Her bedroom is like a size of an apartment. We walk to her closet. I grab a t-shirt and some baggy short shorts. I felt comfortable. "Damn girl! You trying to get some tonight?" Lea says. "Oh yeah you know it." I say sarcastically.
She puts on a tank and some yoga shorts. She looks cute in my opinion.
We walk downstairs and Riley already has the drinks out. Jake looks me up and down. I just awkwardly stand there letting his eyes glare at my body. Lucas notices and smirks. He knows that i'm awkward wjen it comes to flirting.
Lucas and I flirt but that's just to piss Riley and Lea off. They think that we secretly like each other, but we don't.
"How about some white Russians?" Riley says smirking. I raise an eyebrow. "Sounds good to me." She knows white Russians are my favorite.
Lucas makes the drinks. I swear he could be a bar tender. He makes the greatest drinks!
After everyone takes about 5 rounds we are all pretty shitfaced. I look around to see Riley complained to Lea about how Lucas oesn't think she's hot even though Lucas is within hearing distance. He just laughs.
I look at Jake. He looks really hot when he's drunk. Or is it because i'm drunk? I don't care he's just really hot.
"Lets play a game!" Lea says. "like what?" I slur out the words. "Spin the bottle!" Riley yells with excitement. We all nod with approval. Jake grabs one of the many empty beer bottles. We sit in a circle. He places the bottle in the middle.
"WHo's going first?" Jake asks raising an eyebrow. "I'll go!" Riley states.
She spins the bottle. It spins and spins and spins. I'm getting dizzy just by looking at it. The bottle lands on Lea. Lucas and Jake look at each other and smile really wide. "Well it is a game." Riley says as if it's a punishment.
When it comes to making guys want her she'll do anything. Both Lea and Riley had their eye on Lucas. They both leaned in and kissed.
"Damn." Lucas managed to say. Riley just smirked at him.
"My turn!" Lucas starts to spin the bottle. Again it spins for a long time. Riley and Lea wait eagerly hoping it would land on one of them.
Nope of course it would land on me. My face turns pale. Ugh why him he's my best friend!
"It would land on you!" Riley snaps. I just shrug and look at Lucas. He winks knowing it would make them jealous. We love to mess with them it's so fun.
We both lean in. Our lips smashed together. It lasted for about 3 seconds then we both pull away. I took a quick glance at Jake. He looked a bit irritated. Was he jealous? Why would he?
"You're not a bad kisser." Lucas says playfully. "You're not too bad yourself." We both laugh.
"Jake's turn!" Lea says in a sing song voice. Without an expression he spins it. It was a quick spin. Again it lands on me. I Look at the bottle with big eyes. Jake just looks content.
"Well what are you two waiting for?" Lucas asks.
Jake leans in first. I slowly lean in. When we're about an inch away I close my eyes. I feel his warm lips against mine. Our lips are molded together and move in sync. The kiss felt great. Like no other I had. After about a minute and half we pulled apart gasping for air. I feel my lips. I probably look really stupid but I don't really care. Jake just looks at me and smiles.
"It's like 3 a.m. and im really tired." Lea says yawning. "We can sleep in the living room tonight since my parents aren't going to be home." Riley quickly adds.
The girls and I head to the living room to get set up. The boys are cleaning up the mess we made. Such gentlemen.
There was just one thing I couldn't stop thinking about and that's the kiss.
**Lucas P.O.V.**
Jake and I stayed behind to clean up. It was the least we can do since Riley is letting us crash here. It was quiet between me and Jake. So i'm going to break the ice. "That was fun tonight right man?" He looked at me with a serious look. "Do you like Ella?" Well that was straight forward.
I looked him straight in the eyes. "Dude she's my best friend I could never like her more than a friend." He looked down. "Does she like you?" Ella would never feel "that way" about for me.
I gave him my best answer that I could. "We seem to flirt alot but that's just the way we are. We like to confuse people. Ella will never like me more than a friend and I will never like her more than a friend. Do you like her?" Jake just gives me a "duh" look. "I'll put in a good word for ya bro. Just don't hurt her she just got out of a really shitty relationship with this douche bag guy. She's till really fragile. you might want to give her time."
I could tell he was taking in all the information i was giving him. He seemed to really like her. I'm a little ticked though/ The only reason is because he's a real player. I'm not jealous at all. Jake seems like a nice guy but lets just say he likes to mess around... alot.
"We better go back to the girls." I say in a monotone. He stops before heading out. "Thanks for the talk man. It really helped." I smile then act all serious. "Remeber don't hurt her!" Jake just laughs. "Dont worry I wont." I wish I could believe him.
* *Ellas P.O.V**
I can see Lucas and Jake walk in. My heart skips a beat when I see Jake. Lucas nudges Jake as if it's a sign.
"Hey Riley I ave back problems. Do you think I can sleep on your bed?" Lucas says seductively. Lea and Riley exchange looks. Next thing I know they escort Lucas to Riley's bedroom. Leaving me and Jake alone. I laugh at how desperate Riley and Lea look.
"So.." Jake says out of nowhere. I just smile. We were making small talk. We were talking about are likes and dislikes. I found out alot about Jake. We actually had a lot in common which makes me really happy.
It's been at least 20 minutes and Riley and Lea still haven't came down yet."So do you have a boyfriend?" Oh please does it look like I have a boyfriend. "No.." i say honestly. "Why?" Jake asks
I close my eyes and think about my last boyfriend. Rob. I feel my eyes begin to water. Next thing I know I feel strong arms wrap around me. "You can trust me Ella if you need to talk, i'm here." Jake says with a smile. I sigh.
"Well my old boyfriend cheated on me . His name was Rob. He was so perfect." I shut my eyes remembering the pain her put me through "I decided to go to his place because my grandpa died and I needed someone to talk to." I look at Jake to see if he was still listening. His eyes had a concern look in them. "So I knocked on the door. No answer. I could see his bedroom light on. I thought he didn't't hear me so I walked straight up to his room ready to vent about my grandpa. Thats when I see him. With a girl in his bed." I feel my face getting hot. I hat telling this story but I felt I could trust Jake. "Next thing I did I'd regret so much. I left his bedroom. I wish I would've had the strength to tell him off. It's just too many thing ran through my mind then. I Hate Rob for putting me in so much pain."
Lucas is looking straight into my eyes. "He didn't't deserve a beautiful, kind hearted girl like you." I just smile at his comment. He kisses me on the forehead which catches me by surprise.
I make myself comfy in his arms. i close my eyes with his arms around me protectively. We're falling alseep in eachothers arms.
Sorry for the long wait! It took me fffoorreeevverrrrr to write this chapter :P Well I have to thank my friend Maddie for helping! SO THANK YOU MADDIE! We enjoy writing this alot.
