The Past is the best teacher because she shows us all of our flaws and mistakes.
But me, being the hard-headed girl I am, never decided to take heed to The Past and her wisdom. She wanted to help me. She wanted to guide me. But I never sat down and took notes. And now, I suffer the consequences; being a 27 year old college graduate with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a Ph.D in biomedical sciences with a nice 3 story apartment and having the career of my dreams allowing me to serve my community.
Now the typical person may ask, "What consequences have you suffered? You have everything you want, right?" WRONG. I may have everything I want(ed), but, because of my choices, I have nothing I truly need(ed). The Past tried to teach me that every choice I make comes with consequences.
