She is running for her life. She is hoping to get away from the creature and get help for the other survivors. She kept running as fast as she could. She really hopes this madness will end. The girl's name is unknown. We don't know anything about her. We just know that she was in the forest for five days. She managed to outlive her friends. She watched them all die.. horribly. She is afraid she is next on the creature's list. She doesn't know what the thing chasing her is. She has never seen anything like it before in her life. She just knows that it will smell you and hear you. She tried her best to be quiet and covered herself in mud to keep the creature from smelling her scent.
The girl finally stopped and hid behind a tree. The creature is looking for her. Its head is bulging. Like its brain was about to explode into pieces. Its eyes were black and smaller than its head. Its ears and nose are similar to the eyes. Its teeth are razor sharp. It had no lips. Its rib cage was practically popping out of its chest. Its arms and hands were skinnier than its legs. The legs were long and thick. Its feet were swollen. They were so long that it could be a giant's foot. Its fingernails and toenails were long like claws. The creature tried it's best to smell the girl's scent but to no avail. The creature ran off in the other direction.
The girl finally comes out from behind the tree and begins to run for her life. She almost makes it to freedom but trips over a branch. The creature growls and that is when the girl knows she should fear for her life. All hope is lost. The girl will be dead soon. The creature will tear her apart into pieces. The creature then drags her into the darkness. The girl is dead.
The Next Day
Nina Hutchison looks out of the car window into the beautiful sky. She felt the warm sun on her skin. She felt the cool breeze blowing onto her face and breathes in the fresh air.
"How far are we?" Nina asked.
Nina is a freshman in college. She enjoyed hiking and jogging. She was on her college's track team until she started smoking pot and hanging with the wrong crowd. That's when she went to rehab to get some help. To get better.
"We're almost there babe. I promise, you are going to love this day," Levi replied.
Levi is Nina's boyfriend. They have been together since freshman year of high school. Levi is Nina's biggest supporter. She doesn't know what she will do without him. He is the one that convinced her to go to rehab to get help. He was so calm with her that day. Her parents didn't care that she was on drugs because they were on drugs themselves. Levi cared. Levi cared for her well being. She is lucky to have him in her life because she had no one else. He loves football and staying fit but he loves Nina more than anything. His parents wants him to become a doctor but Levi wants to join the NFL.
"Ugh. I hate anything that has to deal with outdoor activity. Why can't we just go to the mall?" Kennedy Walton spoke.
Kennedy is a senior in college. Kennedy is into shopping more than hiking. Don't get her wrong she loves to stay fit but only if it's for looking good in a dress or a swimsuit. Kennedy wants to be a model. Looking good is something she is best at doing.
"I agree with Kennedy. We should definitely go shopping." Brooklyn Mack replied.
Brooklyn is a junior in college. Brooklyn is similar to Kennedy, except Brooklyn wants to be a hairdresser. She doesn't want to be a model even if she has the looks for the part. She was contemplating whether she should be a hairdresser or an actress but she chose a hairdresser because she is really good at doing hair. Sure, she could follow in her best friend's footsteps but she didn't want to be a copycat.
"Is that all you girls think about? I'm surprised you two aren't throwing yourselves at the first guy you see," Sam Jennings voiced.
Sam is a freshman in college. He met Nina in het freshman year of high school. He came to her when he needed to tell someone he is gay and she was there for him. His dream job is to become an actor. He was always the lead in the school plays. What can he say, he loves doing what he does best.
"We all can't be like you, Sam." Brooklyn replied. Brooklyn and Kennedy bursted out with laughter. It was true, as much as Sam loved acting, he jumped every guy's bones and flirted constantly. He is a man whore.
"Shots fired! Good one, Brooklyn." Hunter Briggs raised his hand to go in for a high five but Brooklyn rejected.
Hunter is a junior in college. He met Nina in his junior year in high school. He always needed help with work in school and Nina was always there to help him. Hunter doesn't know what he wants to do with his life.
"No offense, Hunter but you're also a man whore." Kennedy said.
"What!? No, I'm not!" Hunter said, sarcastically.
"You tried to hit on me before, remember?" It's true. Hunter tried to hit on Kennedy before. What can he say, he's friendly.
"Maybe once." Kennedy raised her eyebrows. Hunter just smiled. He knew it was a lie. He has done it numerous times.
"Hunter, man. You shouldn't hit on people all the time." Asher Lowe responded.
Asher and Nina shared classes together ever since freshman year but became friends in their senior year. Asher's parents were murdered. Nina helped him through it and ever since he has been loyal to Nina.
"Oh you should be the last one talking, Ash. You saw me get undressed and I know you liked it." Brooklyn said. Asher saw Brooklyn get undressed once. He really likes Brooklyn but she wouldn't go for him.
"Come on, you guys. I really don't need to hear about Ash being Peeping Tom. It's disgusting." Aaliyah Baxter responded.
Aaliyah is Nina's best friend ever since kindergarten. They never separated from each other. They've always been close. Like Levi, Aaliyah is also Nina's biggest supporter. Although, if this was a competition. Aaliyah would be in first place because she will always be there for Nina.
"Actually, Aaliyah. I actually want to hear this. So, tell me, Ash. Was it a fun experience?" Nina said, jokingly.
"Haha, very funny." Asher said, sarcastically.
"Hey, buddy. It's okay. Just remember to hide next time." Levi said, jokingly. They all bursted into laughter. Nina could get use to this. She doesn't know what she would do without her friends.
Levi doesn't notice the other car and crashes into the car. "Are you guys okay?" Levi asked, worriedly. They all respond with a yes.
"What the fuck man?" Billie Chambers exclaimed.
Billie works as a bartender at the local bar in her hometown. Billie is in the forest to get some peace. Her boyfriend was murdered after protecting her in the bar she worked at, after a guy tried to hit on her and he shot her boyfriend. She loved him so much. She use to come into this forest with her boyfriend to camp. Now, she tries her best to hide her feelings. She has more of a don't-give-a-shit attitude. "Why don't you look where the fuck you're going next time?"
"Billie, calm down." Her sister, Violet said.
Violet is way more nicer than Billie. Violet is the one who convinced Billie to come on this trip to get peace. It took a lot of convincing but Billie finally agreed. Violet is three years younger than Billie. Violet use to get along with everyone in their high school while Billie was more of an outcast but she tried her best to include Billie in everything. Billie became happy when she finally found her true love until he died, she went back to her old ways of being an outcast.
"Billie, you just need to relax. We're fine. That's all that matters." Violet's boyfriend, Leo Bradford said.
Leo is more laidback. He is calm and also very nice but Billie gets annoyed with him sometimes because he is so calm.
"Are you fucking kidding me, Leo? I need to relax. This is my car that my boyfriend gave me before he died and you're telling me to fucking relax. Why don't you do me a favor and shut the fuck up?" Billie was annoyed and frustrated with him. She doesn't understand how he could be so fucking calm.
"Hey, Billie. Just calm down. I know this car is special to you-" Violet starts to say but Billie stormed off. Violet is really trying to help her get pass his death but she knows it won't be easy.
"It's getting dark out. We should camp in the forest until morning so we can get help." Nina said.
They all start to unpack their stuff and go into the forest. Maybe, it won't be so bad for them to get to know each other.
"Are you okay?" Violet asks Billie.
"I'm fucking fantastic."
The two groups sit around the warm fire. Laughing together and talking to each other. Just enjoying each other's companies.
"So, what brings you guys up around these parts?" Billie asks.
Nina hesitates to answer but she works up the courage to finally speak.
"We're here because of me."
"What's your story?"
Nina didn't have the courage to talk about her drug addiction. She wished one of her friends would speak up for her and her wish came true.
"Nina was a drug addict. She smoked pot with the stoners in college." Aaliyah replied.
"I use to be on the track team but then the addiction got worse. I started doing other drugs, like heroin. I couldn't stop. So, I went to rehab to get better. To get back to normal."
"And she got better. She became herself again." Levi chimed in.
"I have my best friend again." Aaliyah said, while Nina and her both smiled at each other.
"What about you three? Why did you guys come back here?" Nina asks.
Billie lowers her head and tears start to fill up her eyes. Nina realizes that, maybe, Billie isn't the type of person who is always angry, but maybe, she has feelings too. After all, she is human.
"My boyfriend passed away. We always came around these parts. We use to camp here for a day or maybe a week. Just to get away from reality but then he died and all of my happiness disappeared. Everything just came crashing down and I didn't believe the pain was real until I was at his funeral. The pain was real. Everything was real. I was an outcast all of my life. I use to stay away from everyone until my sister introduced me to him. My world changed. I was happy for once in my life but now I'm just back to being an outcast."
"How did he die?" Aaliyah questioned.
"I worked at the local bar in town. One night, a biker was hitting on me and he tried to kiss me but I pushed him away and he grabbed my arm. He came to the rescue but the biker shot him. He tried his best to protect me but I did nothing. I was in shock. But, the biker got what he deserved. He is rotting in jail now for the rest of his life." Violet rubbed Billie's shoulders and pulled her into a hug.
"I gotta take a piss," Asher announced, changing the topic.
"Ugh gross. TMI," Brooklyn responded.
"Well, it's not like I said-"
"Dude, please go take a piss. We don't need to know what you were going to say," Levi responded.
Asher is taking a piss when a creature comes up behind him and attacks him. The group hears him screaming and run deeper into the forest, only to find him on the floor, bleeding. The creature then attacks Brooklyn and Asher jumps on the creature, only to be mauled by the creature.
"Asher!" Brooklyn screamed, trying to run to him.
"Let him go! He's gone!" Kennedy grabbed her arm and pulled her away, catching up with the others. They keep running until they see a cabin up ahead. The cabin has lights on inside. They run to the cabin and bang on the doors.
"Let us in!" Nina screamed.
"Open the fucking door!" Billie screamed.
The door opens. They come face to face with a man, a teenage boy and two women. One is blonde and the other is brunette. "Come inside! Hurry!" The man said. They all enter the cabin and the man slams the door.
