"it's not life or death, the labyrinth."

"um, okay. so what is it."

"suffering", she said. "Doing wrong and having wrong things happen to you. That's the problem. Bolivar was talking about the pain, not about living or dying. How do you get out of the labyrinth of suffering."



Alaska is talking to Miles about the quote from Bolivar again and this time she answers her interpretation of what message the author intends to convey. Suffering. As I mentioned before, there are two sides of suffering. There are a lot of things that are going to hurt you in your life and they will cause you to suffer a lot but life has also so many magnificent things waiting for you. If you find the things that make you want to live life to the fullest, hold onto them.
