my breath hitched, this determined everything.

everyone around me screamed. my teammates jumped around with joy, some crying from pure happiness and amazement.
i celebrated with them, but it was bittersweet. noah was leaving a troupe. i knew he wasn't leaving me personally, but that's how it felt. 11 years of friendship down the drain. not that we were close anymore anyway, he didn't have time for me now with working out and jacquie.
noah leaving made me question my own place at the next step. i didn't really have any friends now, after lola left without so much as a 'goodbye'. i guess i had jacquie, but for some reason i felt jealous of her being with noah, which made being around her increasingly difficult.
it sounds crazy, but i think i've grown to like noah the past few months. i can't like him though, he sees me as a sister. and even though he's single now, after jacquie brutally broke up with him, i know it would never work between us, no matter how much it breaks my heart.
