My parents left on Thursday. I wish they had stayed longer-but I know that they're busy.
Today is Saturday, prom. Prom is today.
It's crazy to even think that I'm graduating soon. I remember elementary school as if it was yesterday.
FLASHBACK
"Welcome to the first day of grade six-Mr. Flores and Mr. Locker, stop spraying water at each other!" Mrs. Latty said as she stood at the front of the room.
"He pinched me!" My twin brother yelled.
"He's being a douche!" My twin brothers best friend yelled. Both of them continuing to have their small, water fight.
"Language, Mr. Locker! Office-both of you, now." Mrs. Latty sternly said.
Minutes had passed since they left the classroom-wet with room temperature water.
We began filling out an 'all about us' paper, when my blonde-haired best friend leaned over and whispered,
"You should write 'extremely stupid' in the 'fun facts' section."
My elbow then came in contact with her ribcage. But I hadn't realized how much forced I used until both her and her chair fell to the ground.
"Ow!" She yelled, getting up quickly and putting me in a headlock.
"Hey!" I screeched. Grabbing my squirty, water bottle which is the same kind that Noah and Kyle were using in their water fight.
I sprayed her black hoodie a little bit, but she went nuts,
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"Miss. Flores and Miss. Parker! Office, now!" Mrs. Latty yelled at us.
I stood up and followed my best friend out of the office.
"Nice going..." Lilli trailed off.
I glared at her as we walked into the principals office-seeing both Noah and Kyle sitting there, lightly chuckling.
Most likely over what they had done before.
"Kate? Are you okay?" Noah asked me, worry laced in his voice.
"Yeah, just fine." I stated while glaring at Lilli before I sat down.
"Ha. Look at us! Four trouble makers in the office together!" Kyle exclaimed-we all laughed.
"Imagine if we lived together..." Noah trailed off, still lightly chuckling.
"We do." I told him. Meaning us because we're siblings.
"No, I mean all of us. It'd be a Hell house." He answered.
"It'd be fun." Lilli said, us three gave her a look as if we were saying 'yeah, right'.
FLASHBACK OVER
Good memories...
"Kate!" Lilli squealed, running into my room and jumping on my bed.
"Today is prom!" I exclaimed, she nodded and engulfed me in a huge hug.
"It's going to be fucking awesome!" She yelled.
"Hell yeah it is!" I stated.
Once we both had calmed down a bit, Lilli asked,
"When the boys show up, are we supposed to put the ties on them?"
I nodded,
"Yeah. Cute, right?"
She nodded in response,
"The boys left. Faith and Blair are coming in an hour after they shower. So we may as well shower now. Then we'll all go out and get our nails done. After, we'll come home and do everything else?"
I nodded,
"Yeah. May as well help out with each others hair and makeup."
"Okay, shower!" She yelled as she stood up and walked out of my room-closing my door behind her.
Prom...
I glanced at Hunters white and pink tie that sat on my vanity-still rolled up. I hope that he will like it...
I hopped off of my bed and went into my bathroom.
Getting the water to a warm temperature, I stripped out of my loose, black shorts and tank top before stepping in.
Once I was finished, I stepped out and slipped my grey robe over my cold, wet body.
I had used my lavender shampoo, body wash and conditioner. And I shaved everywhere that I needed to.
Over at my closet, I grabbed black booty shorts and a crewneck sweater. (Below)
Walking back into my bathroom to get dressed and dry my hair, I had a thought.
What colour nails should I get?
I could get a nude colour to match my heels... or white to match my dress... pink would also match my dress...
I don't even know.
Once I had thrown my clothes on and completely blowdried my hair, I threw it into a messy bun.
I walked back out to my bedroom and grabbed my phone, seeing a text from Faith saying that they'll be here in a minute.
I didn't reply, instead just walked over to my closet and grabbed my navy blue, slip on shoes. (Below)
I slipped them on and walked out of my room.
"Lilli, are you ready?" I called holding my phone in my right hand. Then I remembered my shoulder purse.
"Yeah!" She called back just as I stopped before I completely closed the door and just grabbed my purse off of my hook before fully closing the door.
I walked down the stairs and saw our friends car sitting in the driveway,
"They're here!" I yelled. Lilli came trotting down the stairs and we made our way outside.
Lilli closed the door behind us. And we walked over to the car.
Once we were in and settled, we were on our way.

"I need food." Lilli said just as we pulled up to the house.
I chuckled.
"I could go for some." Faith stated.
We just got our acrylic nails done. And we got our toe nails painted.
Both Lilli's toe nails and acrylic nails are white. (Hands Below)
Faith got her toe nails painted white while her acrylics are a French manicure design. (Hands Below)
Blair got her toe nails painted white and her acrylic nails painted black, sparkly silver and white. (Hands Below)
And I got my toe nails painted white while my acrylics are a French manicure design-except mine fade together. (Hands Below)
I am literally in love with them!
We all got out of the car. I walked up to the door first and punched the code into the number pad before we all walked in.
So food.. then we'll get ready! It's about two o'clock.
So thirty minutes to eat, then upstairs to do makeup and hair witch will probably take three hours right there. Then we'll put our dresses on.
"I'll just throw a frozen pizza in the oven!" Lilli called from the kitchen.
"Alright!" Us three called back.
I wasn't hungry-besides-we're going out to eat at six, anyways.

It's been three hours since we got home. We all had a slice of pizza and now we're getting ready.
I had finished my makeup, and I'm honestly so proud of it!
I did the usual face of foundation, concealer, contour, highlight and blush. But my eyeshadow turned out perfectly!
I did a beautiful, white, pink and brown look with winged eyeliner. My eyelashes aren't very full or long, so I put fake lashes on and then mascara. And for my lips, a light pink lipstick. (Below)
So happy with it!
So now I'm just adding a few finishing touches to my hair.
I had curled my hair and done a fishtail braid along the left side of my head-leading to a low ponytail. But I'm currently just pulling out a few loose pieces.
Blair was in my bathroom doing her makeup and hair while Lilli and Faith were in Lilli's room.
I pulled out a final piece, and I was satisfied with the result-so I left it as it is. (Below) ((But ofc Kaytlyn is a brunette.))
"Kate? Are you finished?" Blair called to me.
I looked in my vanity mirror once more,
"Yup."
She walked out of my bathroom just as I stood up.
"Wow..." we both trailed off.
She looked drop dead gorgeous-even without her dress, since we were both in booty shorts and sports bras.
"Look at you!" I exclaimed!
She had a beautiful smokey eye and half of her hair was up in a messy bun. (Below)
"Look at you! A goddess..." she trailed off. I smiled just as Lilli and Faith walked in. Wearing the same outfits as us.
Faith had a beautiful, blue eye look and her hair was casually tied back in a low ponytail. But curled to perfection. (Below)
And my best friend in the entire world, Lilli, she had a gorgeous, purple, sparkly eye look and her hair was in a cool, knitted braid around her head and was curled to perfection. (Below)
We all let out some type of squeal-like noise.
"Alright, now we have thirty minutes to get dressed." Lilli told everyone. We all nodded.
Lilli and Faith then walked out of my room to go get dressed.
Me and Blair walked over to my bed where our dresses were laying.
"I'll get changed out here." I told her. She nodded and walked into the bathroom with her dress-grabbing her heels off of the ground along the way.
I sighed, this is my prom dress...
I had put my dress on. (Dress below)
I then slipped my heels on. (Heels Below)
I felt... a lot taller, actually.
But I felt... pretty as I looked in my long mirror. But then I had an idea...
I opened up my mirror and grabbed my necklace from Hunter. Then I hooked it on around my neck.
"Much better..." I mumbled.
"Kate, can you zip me up?" Blair called.
I walked into the bathroom and did as I was asked. She turned around and faced me,
"Wow..."
I smiled and twirled around.
Then I focused on her, she look absolutely amazing,
"Wow..."
She then smiled and turned around.
I chuckled before walking back out to my room and sitting on my bed.
"Should we go into Lilli's room? She has a fan that we can sit in front of." Blair asked me.
I nodded, thinking that it was a good idea.
Us girls are leaving our phones home because we don't have pockets. The boys have pockets-so they're bringing their phones.
I just quickly checked my phone, five forty six.
Holy... fourteen minutes until six o'clock.
We grabbed the ties for the boys before I followed Blair out of my room and into Lilli's.
They looked amazing...
It hadn't been too long until we heard the chatter of the boys downstairs-then the front door was slammed shut.
Us girls all glanced at each other.
"Let's do this." I stated, smiling.
I tried to put my smile away, but I just couldn't.
"You girls ready?" What sounded like Noah, called up the stairs.
"Yeah." We all called back-still smiling.
"How will we do this? Walk out one by one or all together?" Lilli asked us.
I shrugged just as Faith yelled,
"Want us to come out one by one or all together?"
"One by one!" They all called back.
Faith didn't hesitate to be the first one up and out the door.
We heard the boys say a few things, then Faith yelled,
"Next!"
Blair stood up next and went out Lilli's open bedroom door.
Once again, the boys said a few things to her.
I glanced at my best friend,
"Prom..."
She smiled,
"Prom..."
"Next!" Blair called.
I nodded at Lilli, telling her to go.
She smiled and put her hand on my shoulder as she stood up, then walked out.
"Damn!" Dylan's voice echoed through the house.
I chuckled as Lilli's voice called,
"Next!"
I sighed and hesitantly stood up, holding Hunters tie in my hand.
I walked out of her door, closing it behind me and began to walk down the stairs.
From the front door, they couldn't yet see me until about the... fifth step going down.
The longer part of my dress slid down the stairs behind me.
I reached a point that I could see them, and I made eye contact with Hunter.
His eyes lit up, I could just see it as I stepped off of the last step.
"Wow..." he trailed off.
I smiled and took the tie from my hand, putting it on the proper way.
He glanced down at the tie I had just put on him and smiled.
Maybe he likes it...
He gently put his hands on my shoulders and passionately kissed me on the lips.
We both pulled away and I turned and looked at Noah.
"You look great, Noah." I told him.
He raised his eyebrows,
"Me? Look at you..."
I smiled as he walked over and brought me into a hug.
Kyle came over and wrapped his arms around both me and Noah before we all pulled away.
I walked back over to Hunter, and he laced his fingers with mine.
I glanced at him, and he smiled.
"Well, you girls look amazing." Dylan stated which made us all laugh a little.
"You guys look great." Me and Lilli said in unison.
They all chuckled.
I saw Noah looking at me from the corner of my eye. I turned and looked at him,
"What?"
Everyone watched us.
"I remember you as a kid. You didn't want anything to do with makeup and dresses. Now... look at you..." Noah trailed off.
I smiled,
"I remember how you always liked the mud and wearing bright red with bright green. Now look at you."
Everyone chuckled. Then Dylan spoke up,
"Well, let's head out."
"You guys go, we'll be out in a second." Hunter stated. Everyone but me and him walked out the front door.
He lightly elbowed me, I looked at him,
"What?"
He smiled at me,
"When I was a kid, I thought that sunsets were the most beautiful thing in the entire world. And I always told myself that nothing will ever be more beautiful-so then I wouldn't get attached to anything. But then when Allison tripped you after class, my first instinct was to catch you. But then I felt the need to protect you after that. It tore me apart to do that, because I was getting attached to something-you. I immediately knew, there is something more beautiful than the sunset, and that's you. Your personality, laugh, smile, tears, everything. And, I love you."
I had hot tears forming in my eyes, but blinked them away. Gotta save the makeup, right?
I smiled at him and smashed my lips onto his.
I love him. This guy right here, I love...

I know some people will be upset that I didn't finish the prom. And I'm not going to just bc I've never been to prom-hell I've never been to a good school dance. So I'm sorry. But the next chapter will briefly explain.
