a few days later
[AWSTEN grabs his wallet and jacket as he makes his way to the door. GEOFF follows his boyfriend with his phone in his hands.]
GEOFF: Where are you going again?
AWSTEN: Chilis. [puts on his jacket]
GEOFF: Bring something back for me, 'k?
AWSTEN: [smiles and leans in to kiss GEOFF] Of course. [kisses him, turns around to door] Love you.
GEOFF: Love you too, bye.
[AWSTEN says goodbye and heads out the door. He sees the headlights from a sleek black Volvo sedan. Awsten watches as Patty unlocks the passenger side door for him.]
AWSTEN: [Gets in the car; smiling] I thought you were one to stay humble; what happened?
PATTY: [grins] I didn't feel like driving my beat up Corola tonight. We're going to downtown LA, so why not go in my best dressed car? [reverses]
AWSTEN: Wait! [PATTY stops the car]
PATTY: What?
AWSTEN: [pulls seatbelt across his torso; smiles] I wasn't buckled in. [seatbelt buckles] I'm ready.
PATTY: [chuckling to himself] Okay.
They stop at a convenience store on their way to the restaurant. Patty manages to catch this photo and make a quick post.

Later that night....
PATTY: [sips his drink] You ready for another tour?
AWSTEN: [sighs] Not really.
PATTY: Why? It's only three weeks long.
AWSTEN: Yeah but I was hoping to get to spend alone time with Geoff for a while before we do anything again.
PATTY: You act like he isn't going to be with us.
AWSTEN: [gulps down the rest of his water, places it on the table.] I meant constant alone time.
PATTY: [bites lip, looks down.] I'm sorry for disturbing that alone time.
AWSTEN: [chuckles, places his hand on Patty's arm.] You're fine. [smiles, pulls his hand back.]
PATTY: So I'm an exception?
AWSTEN: Obviously. [checks the time] Shit. It's getting late.
PATTY: When the waiter comes around I'll ask for the bill.
AWSTEN: Okay. [receives a text message, smiles]
PATTY: Is that Geoff?
AWSTEN: Yeah.
PATTY: Tell him to stop interrupting our date.
AWSTEN: [Looks up.] What?
PATTY: I'm joking. [Finishes his drink.]
After they leave, Patty decides to go to the local liquor store to purchase a couple of bottles of the cheapest but strongest stuff.
PATTY: [sits down in the car next to Awsten.] I got the goodies! [shakes brown bag then pulls out a bottle of whiskey.] Want some?
AWSTEN: I don't drink.
PATTY: You should. [nudges him in the shoulder.] Come on babe, let loose.
AWSTEN: No.
PATTY: Ugh, you suck, you know that?
AWSTEN: Actually, I swallow. I'm a good boy.
PATTY: Well if you're a good boy that swallows, why don't you swallow this and be a good boy for me?
[AWSTEN contemplates consuming the alcohol for a while until PATTY gives him a look that just finalizes his decision. He takes the bottle from PATTY'S hand and downs half the bottle in one gulp. AWSTEN begins to cough.]
PATTY: [laughing] Damn!
[AWSTEN joins in laughter as his face turns red.]
Three hours later in an empty street close to where Patty lives.
AWSTEN: [giggling] I'm gonna fucking throw up!
PATTY: Do it, pussy!
[AWSTEN throws up, earning sounds of disgust from his friend.]
AWSTEN: I feel not so good.
PATTY: What time is it?
AWSTEN: Lemme s- [throws up again.]
PATTY: I'll check. [Checks the time on his phone.] It's one?!
AWSTEN: One?! How long have we been out here for?
PATTY: [Drunkenly with wide gestures.] Fuck if I know!
AWSTEN: You can't take me home. There's no way. We're fucking wasted.
PATTY: Obviously!
AWSTEN: Let's- Let's go back to your apartment and then lemme call Geoff and explain everything.
PATTY: Okay.
So basically Awsten stays the night at Patty's house then they do the gay thing.
