STEFANS POV
I was terrified. Damon wasn't there for me much for a couple decades, but he's was my only brother I grew up with, I hated to admit it but he was probably the person I love the most and if he died... I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
I thought of a life with no Damon;
No brother, No troublemaker, No Family...
No Bestfriend.
But I thought of the good things
No more trouble making by Damon, less deaths, one less vampire... I couldn't even believe I was thinking this. I'm a horrible brother. Honestly, it would be so much worst without Damon! He wouldn't be there to help us save the world and without Damon we wouldn't find the cure and everything would be different.. I just thought about how terrible a life with no damon would be.. I'm just glad that he's going to be alright
I slowly fell asleep but the thought of damon dead kept pushing me back to reality. I ended up falling asleep around 10 am.
Before I slept, I looked at Elena. She was sleeping but she looked so beautiful, her eyes were beautiful even closed and her pale skin was so soft . She had a steady breathing, but her arms had goosebumps. I took my blanket and placed it on top of her, wondering why she was cold since vampires couldn't feel. I brushed off the thought and kissed her forehead, Gee, I thought, I scored big time on Elena .
*NEXT MORNING*
I woke up next to Elena. She didn't have the blanket anymore. It was pushed to the corner of the tent. I watched as she shivered in coldness and I put the blanket on her again
I was about to head out my tent to check on Damon, but then right when my foot went out of the tent, Elena had grabbed my wrist, "Stefan wait" she said.
I smiled, "Go back to sleep baby.". She closed her eyes again,but started on : "no, please stay with me. I'm so cold" she said
I wondered why she was so cold because vampires don't feel heat or coldness. I remembered last night that she had goosebumps. I tried thinking of something but nothing came up. I bent down and kissed her forehead, "it's okay baby, here", and I put the Blanket over her. "I'll be back, don't worry I'll only be gone for a few. I need to check on my brother". I put my arms around elena to keep her more warm. "that feels so much better", she stated. I smiled at her as she curled into a ball . Then I got up again. "I'll be back soon I promise. I love you" I said . I love you too", she replied.
I walked out of the tent and saw Rebekah near the fire ,"Are you cold too?" I asked her. "No but it's getting really chilly and I'm not exactly cold but it's really chilly" she answered. I started towards her and sat down on the log that she was on. "Is it not chilly for you?" She asked. "No. I maybe it's a girl thing" I said . "Don't be sexist, Stefan", she demanded. "Sorry" I replied. I went on again, "but I don't see how that's sexis-". Are Elena, Caroline,and Bonnie cold too?" She interrupted.
"Elena is really cold but I don't know about the others, but speaking of Bonnie, have you seen her? I've been looking for her for the past few days and I haven't seen her ever since the first night we got here." I said
"No, I haven't seen bonnie since I went out to look for the cure yesterday. I got NO WHERE thanks to all of you. None of you have been helping me with this at all! That's the only reason we even came"Rebekah said.
"Im sorry, we've been pre-occupied, you know my brother dying and all. Anyways, where is the bottle of Klaus's blood?" I asked
"it's in my bag in my tent.", she answers. "OH YEAH!", she startled me, "and I share a tent with Bonnie now by the way" , she explained. "Ok I'll find it, and I'll check on Bonnie too. I hope she's okay" I said.
I walked over to Rebekah's tent as I wondered why Jeremy would sleep alone. I got closer to it and when I got in I saw Rebekah's bag. I also saw Bonnie there but she was sleeping so I was quiet. I grabbed Rebekah's bag and searched for the bottle of Klaus's blood, when I finally found it I took it and I was about to walk out but out of curiosity I lifted Bonnie's long sleeves and saw her arm, it wasn't covered in goose bumps but maybe it was just a vampire thing, so I left the tent .
I was on my way to Damon's tent until I heard a scream from Elena and I's tent. I ran as fast as possible to the tent and checked if elena was ok . "What's wrong?!" I exclaimed. "Stefan, I'm so cold, I feel like I'm in an iceberg or something, I wasn't as cold a moment ago but now I'm so cold!" Elena said
I started to think but I just ended up calling Rebekah. "Rebekah come here please" I yelled
"Why did you call Rebekah?" Elena said as she started to tear up ,"Sh sh it's ok it's ok" I said to Elena as I wiped her tears
I waited for Rebekah for about two minutes and realized that maybe she had the same thing going on
"Elena, Elena look at me ok, look at me please come on" I said to her. "O-o-ok-okay" she said as she looked at me . "Elena I love you okay, I love you, I'll be right back, ok Elena I love you" I said to her as I kissed her forehead and hugged her to help her keep warm. "I-I-I love you too" she said. "I'll be right back okay?" I said to her .She nodded her head as she shivered
I ran super fast to Rebekah's tent ."Stefan, what's going on?!" Bonnie asked. I saw Rebekah shivering in Bonnie's arms
"I tried to boil her blood to help her stay warm, but it isn't working"Bonnie said .I nodded at Bonnie. "Rebekah can you talk?" I asked
"Yes b-but I'm so cold, this has never happened to me in my thousand years on this earth!" Rebekah said."Okay...okay" I said ,"Bonnie keep boiling her blood and take care of her okay?" . "Alright" Bonnie replied
I ran fast to Caroline and Damon's tent ,"Stefan what's happening to her?!" Damon asked. "here damon you need this" I say as I pass him Klaus's blood. "Drink this and I'll be back, I need to get back to Elena though so drink this and take care of Caroline okay?" I said
I ran back to my tent, not waiting for an answer. I saw elena shivering on the ground. "Elena! okay here" I put a blanket on her
"What's happening stefan?" She asked ,"Shh just think of good memories okay, I'm gonna call Klaus or Elijah and see if this ever happended to them,but I'll call them and I'll be right here, okay?" I said. "ELENA!!!" I heard a voice from our tent ."Jeremy" I said
"What's wrong with her?" He asked. "I don't know but all the other girls, except Bonnie has it, so it must be a vampire thing for girls" I said "what can I do?" He asked, "Call Elijah on your phone and ask him if this he knows what this is", "Okay, .Jeremy said as he started dialing the numbers
I looked at Elena, she looked sick now, different from morning. She was still beautiful though. I held her in my arms and listened to Jeremy's conversation. I didn't hear much of the beginning but i hear most of the end.
"Why would I help you?"
"Elijah! Your sister is going through this too"
I decided not to listen anymore because Elena started shivering faster.
DAMONS POV
I just drank Klaus's blood and I'm watching as Caroline shivering. "Caroline how do you feel?!" I asked. "C-c-cold" she said. I wrapped a thick blanket around her and put her in my arms. I rubbed my thumb on her cheek repeatedly to check her temperature and keep her warm. "Are you still cold?" I asked
"D-duh", she replied. she started to shiver even more. I sucked my teeth, "Damn it stefan" I said. I was worrying about Caroline because she looked really pale. "Wait do vampire girls have their period?" I asked. Caroline stared at me, offended . "Sorry, I was just thinking maybe it was a hormonal thing" I said. "B-b-brrr" Caroline hit her teeth together in a 'cold' feel way . "Shh" I said as I held her tighter to keep her warm. She closed her eyes slowly. "Oh crap, are you dying?!" I yelled. She looked at me, annoyed almost "N-no" she said. I exhaled in relief, "Oh thank god" I said .
I pulled out my phone to call stefan. "Hello?" I said into the phone
"Yeah what is it Damon, I'm really busy taking care of Elena, and I'm only a few feet away form you why are you calling me?" stefan replied. "What the hell is wrong with these girls?" I ignored his question.
"I don't know but they seem to be sick. I don't know but I will find out soon" stefan replied
"wait stefan---" I said
The line went off
"Damn it Stefan!"
Caroline started closing her eyes again, "Caroline!" I said. She just kept her eyes shut. CAROLINE!" I yelled ,"Damn it come on Caroline..don't die" I said. Caroline smirked and opened her eyes. She started to giggle .
"Dammit, Caroline! You scared me to death" I said. She started shaking again and I held her tighter. I told her "SH" multiple times.
"Found an Elena replacement, didn't you?" A voice said behind me. I turned around to see her again.
