Erika's POV
When we got home I went and showered while Jake watched Lilly.
After I got out and after I changed I saw Jake and Lilly knocked out. Lilly was in her bassinet and Jake had pulled the bassinet as close to him as possible.
Lilly started crying and Jake shot up. He picked her up and pulled her towards his chest and she stopped crying.
J: it's okay Princess I'm here I'm here.
He looked so tired but so focused on staying awake for her.
E: baby how about you shower, relax, and try to get some sleep I can watch her for a couple of hours.
J: no I can stay awake for a little bit. You got to get some sleep. It took you two hours to push her out and you only got a couple minutes of sleep.
E: are you sure?
J: yeah I'm sure
I was laying down but I shot back up.
J: what happened?
E: we never bought diapers and the hospital only gave us a few.
J: okay then I'll just go get some.
E: you don't have to do it now.
J: I kinda have too because I know I'll forget.
E: okay, please please please be careful
J: I'll be careful I love you.
E: I love you too.
Jake kissed Lilly's forehead as she yawned.
J: I love you princess.
*store*
I was looking around the store for diapers when a girl approaches me.
??: hey
J: um hi
I basically just ignored her and continued shopping.
?: I'm Tiffany
J: cool
T: what's your name?
J: *sighs* I'm Jake.
T: whatcha lookin for
I really wanted to just tell this girl to leave but I knew that wouldn't even work.
J: stuff, what made you come up to me?
T: you're cute and I'm trying to get my friend a date.
J: I'm sure your friend is very nice but I have a girlfriend.
T: see that's the thing she really isn't into committed relationships she really into things like smash and pass.
J: okay then tell her to find a guy like that because I'm not interested I have a girlfriend.
T: is there anything I can do to convince you too just hook up with her?
J: Tiffany how does your friend feel about children?
T: ugh she hates kids.
J: well I have a daughter.
T: you don't have to lie just say no.
J: I've said no 1,000 times and I'm not lying.
I pulled up a picture of Lilly
J: she was literally born today.
T: fine, sorry for bothering you.
She left and I sighed
I got the diapers then got lost in buying a couple of other things that I was gonna buy later.

I put everything in the living room and went upstairs and I see Erika breastfeeding.
E: hey babe
J: heyyyy baby girl.
E: *sighs* what did you do?
J: I kinda bought a lot more than just diapers
E: we were supposed to do the rest of the shopping together.
J: yeah but some of these were almost out of stock and the other stuff I just couldn't help myself.
E: alright go get the stuff.
I went and brought everything upstairs. Once I got everything done Erika had finished feeding Lilly and she handed her to me to burp her while she looks through the stuff.
E: why'd you get another bassinet?
J: well this one is cooler and it's more safe and sturdy.
E: okay
J: this is when she's fussy at night so we can get to her sooner.
E: smart thinking I like this.
E: ooo I really like this
J: and I bought a couple of outfits
E: oh no
J: what?
E: Jake I asked you to get me some clothes once and you brought me a blouse and sweats with flip flops.
J: well I did good this time.
E: I'll trust you.
(But the shirt says Lilly)
E: I'll admit these are cute.
J: and I didn't get too much so you can pick some out as well.
E: well thank you.
Erika leaned over and kissed me.
J: mommy has the hots for daddy doesn't she Lilly?
E: Jake! You can't talk to her like that.
J: she doesn't understand what I'm saying
E: and I do not have the hots for you
J: mhm
Erika got up and put Lilly's things in her room except her bassinet and bed bassinet I got up and laid on the bed. She fell asleep with a good hold on my shirt and I fell asleep because I was exhausted.
Erika's POV
I walk back in the room to see Lilly and Jake asleep. I slowly took Lilly off of Jakes chest and put her in her new bassinet and covered her up. I covered Jake up and got in the bed with him I had my back facing him but soon felt his arms wrap around me pulling me closer.
E: goodnight babe
J: goodnight babygirl.
Jake kissed the back of my neck and we both fell asleep. First day of parenthood wasn't that bad but I was exhausted from pushing her out for two hours, crying because I thought my boyfriend was dying, and not falling asleep until 11pm.
