I was getting out of my dad's car. I walked straight to class and waited.
"Charlotte why are you here so early."
"Everyone in this school doesn't do homework and I did. I had my books packed and they didn't."
"But Charlotte don't you want any friends."
"Not really. If you try to get friends you can always get disappointed and I'n no going to wait around for that""
"You're just like your mom"
"How? She had friends"
"She used to say when she was younger:
"If you hope for things too much you get disappointed"
"I guess I am like her."
"Ill let you pass class this time to go. Go make some friends okay."
"I don't really want to"
