I know I just posted like an hour ago but these chapters are collecting dust in my "new story" folder on my laptop, so here's another one, since you guys are good readers and I love you all so much lol

_________

I followed him as he went back to his dorm and before the door could shut, I slipped into his room.

He removed all his clothes down to his boxers and got in bed without saying a word.

I kind of stand there awkwardly as he situates himself.

I've comforted Liam as a friend, but not as a girlfriend.

Is it different?

I kick off my shoes and my coat wearing only leggings and a t-shirt, and I climb up into bed with him.

If it were you, what would you want him to do?

Cuddle.

I would want cuddles.

Boys like cuddles too, right?

I crawl to the front of his bed and slip under the covers beside him, resting my head on the same pillow as his, our faces inches apart.

His eyes lock with mine, and I shift slightly to get more comfortable.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I whisper.

"She called my Dad."

Amelia called Liam's father? Why the hell would she do that?

"For what?" I ask him.

"To find me somewhere to stay." He mumbles. "He's back, Savvy. He's living in Waipahu. He offered for me to stay there with him. And his wife. And his child. Why do my parents keep having kids? Why am I not good enough to them? Why did my Dad leave and have another one? And why does my Mom let Andrew treat me like that? Why don't they care about me? Nobody cares about me."

"I care about you." I murmur lifting my hand to his cheek. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He mumbles.

I move my hand from his cheek to his hair, moving gently to brush a few tendrils off of his forehead.

And it's just...his lips are right there, and I really want to kiss him, but I'm not sure how he's going to react.

And it's not the time. He's really upset right now, and I don't want this to be the memory of our first kiss.

"What are you thinking about?" he whispers.

I run my fingers through his hair again.

"You," I murmur. "I'm thinking about you. Us."

He reaches out and puts his hand on my back, sliding his fingers under my shirt to touch my bare skin. He pulls me closer to him and I find myself putting my left leg over his body.

"I know it feels like you don't have a family right now," I begin softly. "But one day, five or six years down the road, you will. We will. We're going to be the parents that you never got to have. Our kids won't have to wonder why they weren't loved, because they will be." I slide my thumb along his jawline and look into his eyes. "We're gonna have that house you always wanted, in a very, very save neighborhood, where the crime level is so low, the last thing that happened was an argument over prices at the convenience store. We're going to have a dog, and kids, and an amazing life. What happened in the past will be the past, and our biggest worry will be the roof leaking."

He smiles, scooting closer to me.

"I love you," his voice is soft, his eyes staying locked with mine.

"I love you, too." I whisper.

He moves a little closer to me, putting his hand on my cheek. He brushes my blonde hair back and moves a little closer, looking right into my eyes.

What is he doing?

I hold my breath as he moves closer until his lips are so closer to fine, I can feel his breath fanning against my mouth.

His eyes hold mine and I feel him tangle his fingers in my hair.

"Tell me to stop." He murmurs.

And I feel my body, like, reacting. His hand on my hip and his finger in my hair is making me get a weird feeling down below, something I've never felt before.

All I can muster is a slight shake of my head.

I'm not going to tell him to stop, because I don't want him to stop.

And even though I have these intense feelings in my body, it's not about the feelings.

It's about me and him. It's about us.

He moves a little closer and I feel his lips touch mine so lightly that I'm not sure if I actually felt it.

My eyes start to get heavy, and just as his lips press firmly against mine, I slide them shut.

He pulls me closer to him until I'm pressed to him. I move my lips with his slowly, but it's kind of hard to kiss him when we're both on our sides and my hair is getting in the way.

I feel him moving, gently pulling me with him.

Our lips separate as he sits up and pulls me into his lap, but he takes my face in his hands and presses his lips to mine again. I wrap my arms around his neck and move my mouth in sync with his. I feel his tongue searching my mouth and I can't help but sigh into his mouth in content.

God, I love this boy.

One thing I notice is how respectful he is.

He doesn't touch any personal areas and he built up the kiss so I had time to pull back if I wanted to.

His hands stay in my hair, and he's just...he's a good man.

I tangle my fingers in his hair and start searching his mouth with my tongue, reveling in the taste of him.

I find my hands aching to explore his body, and suddenly, a thought comes to my mind and I jerk back.

"What's wrong?" he mumbles.

His lips are swollen and I find myself smiling, running my fingers through his hair.

"I just...I just never thought I was going to be this happy again."

He smiles, leaning in to plant a quick kiss on my lips.

"I just want you to know that I changed my mind." He says.

"About what?"

"About Hawaii. I'm going to come with you tomorrow."

"You are?"

"As long as your parents are okay with me staying as your boyfriend."

"They don't know we're dating." I remind him.

"I know." He says. "But I want to start this off right. I don't want to spend the next two weeks having to hide my feelings for you. I want everyone to know."

"So...so what do you want me to do?"

"I want you to call your Mom and tell her I want to come and stay but that I'm not just your friend anymore. Is that okay?" he worries.

I didn't even think about how difficult it's going to be to not walk up to Liam and hug him every time I see him, or to sit next to him and not touch him.

"That's okay." I get off the bed and grab my phone from my jacket pocket, climbing back into bed.

"Put it on speaker." Liam says.

I nod in agreement and dial my Mom, putting it on speaker.

It rings four times and then stops.

"Hello?"

"Hey Mom."

"Hi sweetie."

"Listen," I begin. "I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"I know you said Liam could stay at our place from now on, but, um, Liam and I are dating."

Silence.

"You're what?"

"We're dating, Mom."

"Seriously?" she asks, and she sounds...

Well, she sounds thrilled.

"Yeah, seriously. Liam and I, um, well we just wanted you to know before you agree to let him stay at our house."

"Oh." She says. "Oh shoot, you're dating. That changes things, doesn't it? Here, let me talk to Dad and I'll call you back, okay?"

"Okay."

She hangs up and I look at Liam.

"She seems happy." Liam says.

"What if she says no?" I ask.

"If she says no...I'll stay at my Dad's for you."

"No." I say immediately. "Absolutely not."

"Savannah," he begins.

"No Liam, no. I forbid it. I would go in half for a hotel for you before I agree to letting you stay at your Dad's."

"But-"

"We're in a relationship now, okay? That means that-that I get a say too, right? Staying at your Dad's is going to make you miserable. That's like me going to Iowa, having nowhere to stay, and agreeing to stay at the house I was locked in for six years. You would never allow that."

He blows out a breath and nods slowly.

Well...I mean, hopefully your parents come through."

A minute or so later, my phone starts ringing.

I pick it up, press answer, and put it on speaker.

"Hey." I say to Mom.

"So Daddy and I talked." She says. "And we agreed that it would be okay if Liam stayed with us while you guys are out of school."

I look at Liam and we do a silent high five.

"There will be rules though, and if you guys can't follow them, there will be consequences."

"Understood." I say. "Thank you, Mom."

"Also, did you know Noah has a girlfriend?" she asks.

"What? Since when?"

"Uh, since like, August."

"Well...he didn't tell anybody."

"Yeah, I guess Dad said she can come stay for the holiday too."

"Okay, that'll be interesting. At least with Liam you already know him."

"Yeah I don't know, hopefully she's a good person."

"I hope so." I look at Liam and then the clock on the desk. 10:26PM.

"Listen Mom, I know it's only like, eight there, but it's ten thirty here, so I'm going to go."

"Okay, text me before you get on the flight. We'll be there to pick you guys up."

"Okay, love you."

"Love you too, bye."

"Bye."

I hang up and look at Liam.

"Now we don't have to deal with your Dad, because you'll just be with me."

"I know." He flops back down into a laying position and yawns. "Do you wanna sleep over?"
