The last thing I expect to see when I enter Trevor's room are all the teddy bears and other fluffy toys on his bed. I look around his room in awe because i would've never expected his room to look like this. I imagined band posters, writings on the walls, dark colours and simple decorations but instead all I see is colours, colours and more colours. Although his walls are white, on one of them there are swirly drawings in pastel pinks, purples, greens and blues, his bed has a pastel pink blanket and I did mention all the toys. Elliot of course doesn't seem surprised by any of this and he throws himself on the bed, squishing a lot of the toys.

"Not what you imagined right?" Trevor says from beside me, startling me.

"To be honest, no. But I like this. It has a lot of character." I really do like it. It's so unlike Trevor but the brightness of the room strangely makes me happy. I see why he likes these colours.

"Well, this is how my room looked like since I was in elementary. Although I don't particularly love the way it looks now since my style has slightly changed, I wouldn't change the room. It just reminds me of the old times and makes me feel nostalgic."

"I remember when I helped you decorate it." Elliot adds in from the bed.

"Yeah, I had a lot of fun." Trevor smiles Elliot's way.

"We didn't do a great job though, so April had to come and repaint it nicely. But, we got a reward for trying. Lisa made us a cake and we helped her." Elliot says.

"Yeah, but Mr. Klutz over here somehow managed to drop the cake. But at least we had cut out a piece for each of us so it wasn't a complete waste." Trevor laughs and grabs Elliot's feet to shake them in a playful manner.

"You guys sure seem like you've had fun." They both look at me when I say that.

"Now we'll have fun with you. These are old memories but we can make new ones together. As The Rainbow Warriors." Trevor reaches over to me and pulls my hand so I'm sitting on the bed next to them.

"You were really serious when you named us that weren't you?"

"Of course Ashy. And I'm gonna use that a lot."

"Hey Trevor, do you still have that train set?" Elliot asks. Trevor ponder for a second but then he bends under the bed and searches.

"Found it!" He exclaims as he stands back up together with a big box.

"Let's build it and play." Elliot claps his hands in excitement.

"We'll teach you how to play Ash." Trevor says when he sits down on the ground. Elliot and I sit down too and we start building the train tracks.

It's safe to say that I'm having the time of my life. And I'm not being sarcastic. I feel like a kid again, playing with friends, having fun... As a child I wasn't very into all the games everyone else was playing, I was more of a stay at home and play with action figures kind of kid. But I've really missed out on all the fun.
Playing with toys at our age might seem very childish and immature but I see that Trevor and Elliot don't care so why should I?

"I'm surprised this is still working like it used to when I was little. I thought it'd break halfway through." Trevor says as he places the train at the beginning of the tracks so we start again.

"Well, this is a good quality toy. These days everything breaks fast because nothing is good quality." I say.

"True, true."

"Boys!!!" Lisa yells from downstairs.

"What??!" Trevor yells back.

"Dinner is ready!" We pack up the train back in the box and head in the kitchen where the table is filled with different food. It all looks mouthwatering.

"I missed your cooking mom." Trevor says as he plants a kiss on Lisa's cheek.

We sit down, me next to Trevor, Elliot opposite him and April and Lisa on the ends of each side of the table.

"Enjoy." April says and none of us wait before we take all we can fit in our plates.

"I think my tummy hurts." Elliot groans and rubs his stomach.

"We'll have a cup of tea before bed to settle that dear." Lisa rubs his shoulder with a smile.

"Why don't we clean this up guys?" I suggest to Elliot and Trevor.

"Oh no dear, April and I will do it. You go enjoy your time here." Lisa interferes.

"I insist. It's not a problem." I want to help a little and not feel like a burden.

"Leave the boys to do what they want Lisa. I'll be going to the gym." April stands up.

"Oh, oh, oh...can we come later too?" Trevor's eyes widen.

"Sure." Is all April says and leaves the kitchen.

"You gotta see the gym. Mom invested a lot in it, it's awesome." Lisa leaves too and we're left to clean up and wash the dishes. It doesn't take us much time and when we're done Trevor shows the way to the gym.

It's down in the basement but it looks nothing like you'd expect an underground space to look. It's all lit up brightly when we enter and the first thing I see is my reflection in the mirrors opposite us. Then I look around and see all the equipment; everything from treadmills, dumbbells, weights, a bench, to two big pilates balls and yoga mats. Considering the space isn't very big, this looks amazing. And I see how his mother keeps up her body. Right now she's sat down on the bench and lifting a dumbbell.

"Try not to break anything like last time Trevor." April says but Trevor nods and ignores her, running off on the treadmill. April makes the reasonable decision to leave us alone as she exits the gym. Elliot's stomachache suddenly disappears as he sees the pilates ball.

"I love big balls." He says excitedly. I snort and go by Trevor's side at the treadmill.

"You're not trying out anything?" He says between breaths.

"Nah. Not the type to work out. Obviously." I've tried it a few times and eventually given up after a week or so. It's too exhausting and I have too much things to do, adding exercise to my daily list isn't something I'd like.

"It's not so bad if you find something that's fun for you. For example, I love the treadmill and the balls over there. Elliot obviously likes them too." I look over at Elliot and see him rolling on the ball and falling, then laughing and repeating.

"Is that how you got your body?" I ask, suddenly curious.

"Well, not exactly. At school we don't have those things and you've seen that I improvise in our room. Playing sports also helps. And I like it."

"Well, I don't like sports and I'll try those balls because they do look interesting, although I don't see how they help in exercise."

"You stretch your body on them. It feels nice." He clicks some buttons to slow down the pace on the treadmill.

"Ah. Well I'll go there then." He nods and I go next to Elliot.

"Decided to try the balls?" Elliot asks from his upside down position on the ball.

"Yeah. See what the fun is about." I bend down to lay my back on the ball. I succeed but I hear a few bones crack. I really need some exercise. It does feel good to stretch out and my head is upside down which adds to the fun. I roll around, careful not to fall to the side but suddenly a hand comes on my stomach, at the tiny amount of skin showing because my shirt has risen up due to my position and me being extremely ticklish immediately bend causing me to fall with a thud.

A laugh erupts and I see Trevor's face above me.

"Idiot." I sit up with a scowl.

"That was priceless. I should've taken a picture." He still laughs. I'll kill him.

"Why don't I take a picture of your face when it's purple and swollen from the punch I give you?" I say as I stand up to his height.

"Uuu, Trevor, this sounds like a threat man." Elliot says from the side. I see he's sat down on the ball now.

"I'm not scared of Ash. He loves me." Trevor ruffles my hair. Hey! I'm not a kid and I'm your height idiot! And... I don't... love you... I mean, it can't be love, it's too soon. It feels a lot like it but it couldn't be it. Could it?

"I-I don't. I mean, I do, but, I don't. But I don't hate you... ugh, shut up." I push his chest and both of them only laugh in return.

"Cute."
