Bliss POV
I felt around as my senses came back from my sleep.
I sit up and look around the now empty room.
I sigh.
I look at the calendar next to the bed and see it's the day I dread.
I don't want to see anyone.
Today is the day a mistake was born.
The day the some may regret.
I sure do.
It's my first birthday away from them.
I should be happy but I feel the same as I do every year on my birthday.
Sad. Depressed. Fear.
My main emotions.
I sigh and close my eyes hoping to fall asleep for the day.
Unfortunately I hear a soft knock on the door.
I look up with sad scared and depressed eyes and looked back down.
Doctor Shawn.
I sigh and put my head back down.
"He Sweetheart. I had some good news, you are getting checked out today."
He says with a soft smile.
I just nod not really wanting to go outside but I still really want to take a proper shower.
I hope the others don't know it's my birthday.
"Happy birthday."
He said fast and with a bigger smile on his face as he holds a gift bag up to my face.
I look at it in shock.
How on earth does he know it's my birthday.
I think and he sees my confusion.
"Your birthday is on your file."
He said and I nod
I look at the pretty gift bag that sat on my lap.
I look at it and almost burst into tears.
Not if fear or panic.
This is my first time getting a present on my birthday.
"I can't take this."
I let my mouth speak before I even thought.
"Yes you can. You deserve it. I mean come on, your an amazing little girl so you deserve it."
He said sincerely.
I look back at the bag near me then back at him as he gives me a nod as to go on.
I slowly pick up the bag being carful.
I slowly take out the wrapping and look inside.
I gasp in surprise, tears quickly rush to my eyes as I let one fall.
That's why the bag was so heavy.
He got me a microscope.
I know to some it may sound wired but for starters this is my first present, and second of all, I needed a microscope for years. The only one I ever used was at school but now I can't use it.
"You like it?"
He asked carefully.
I looked at him with tears still going down my face slowly.
I nodded with a smile and sat up completely and gave him a hug.
I felt like I was about to scream in pain when I moved so much but I couldn't help it. He gave me something that I will cherish.
Sam's POV
"How about this, me and Wanda will hang with bliss for the day while you boys go decorate the lab. We can have a small birthday party for her with just us, peter, and her 3 other friends. It can be a surprise."
Nat suggested as we all sit and think what we will do for bliss' birthday.
"That's cool. Now what does she even want for her birthday."
Thor asked.
Loki looked up and smirked.
"Books, socks, and hats."
He said proudly knowing exactly what bliss wants from her personality and the hours they spent reading and comparing books.
"Wait wait wait........ socks?"
