"... Larry...?"
Sal turned to Larry, and tapped him on the shoulder lightly.
Sal took note on the distinctive pain in his lower back. Like it had been arched inwards for a long period of time.
"..hm..?", Larry woke slowly, and turned to look at Sal.
".. You got any idea on what happened last night...?"
".. I got no idea... why..?"
"First off, my ass hurts. And we're both almost completely naked."
".. you don't think we..."
"The proof is there.."
Larry sat up, and realised his shirt was on the floor of the van. The distinctive "SF" on the chest told him it wasn't just any shirt.
"Dude... we weren't like.. high as shit last night right..?"
"No.. we were just standing out on the hill.. we.... we kissed.. and then I woke up like this."
"If we weren't on anything... dude we fucked. And we were sober."
"If honestly didn't know you felt that way about me.."
"I didn't know YOU felt that way about me.."
They sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes.
"But yeah.. I.. I do like you like that.."
Larry smiled.
Sal blushed softly.. and smiled back.
"We should get going soon.. don't want your mom calling the cops and telling em we're missing.."
Larry chuckles, and stands up.
Both of them were only in boxers. Nothing else.
"Yeah.. my mom is like that..."
Sal swings his legs over the end of the matress, and searched for his pants.
The pastel red should stick out, but he had trouble actually finding them.
Once both of them were dressed, Larry went outside and packed up all the stuff they layed out the night before. He threw everything in the back, and sat himself in the drivers seat.
Sal sat in the passenger seat, pulling his shirt over his thin stomach.
Sal was much thinner than Larry, in a muscular sense.
Sal let out a sigh of pain between his teeth.
Larry looked over to him.
"You alright, Sal..?"
"My ass is angry at me..."
"Awwwe.. the poor guy.."
"Oh hush..", Sal playfully punched Larry in the shoulder.
"Heh..", Larry started up the van, and made his way to the actual road.
"So... I guess we're not really... friends anymore.. huh?"
"No... we're more than friends now.."
"Way more..."
The ride home was pretty awkward.
What was more awkward.. was walking into Larry's apartment and talking to Lisa.
"How was the concert, boys?", she said. She was making lunch when Sal, and Larry got back.
"It was pretty sick..", Larry said.
He never mentioned how they didn't meet the band, like Larry had really wanted to.
"Yeah.. we had a really good spot, so we could see everything!"
Sal said.
He had his mask on now. He didn't want to scar Lisa for life...
"Well, sounds like a good time! Lunch is almost ready..!"
Lisa looked at them and smiled.
"Thanks, Mom, and yeah.. it was pretty fun.."
Larry looked at Sal.. and they smiled that dopey smile.
