Recap: RagLak passed their exams, he gave her his apartment to stay and study there, he doesn't want her to lose the focus on her aim.
It's been months now, Ragini was living in his apartment, she felt uncomfortable as she doesn't like to take alms.
"Laaaaksh!" She shouts through the campus. Where is he? He told me to wait for him here. She pouts looking here and there to find her love. Someone come from the back, blindfolding her eyes, "Laksh!" She turns and hugs him without giving him a gaze, as his touch was all she needed to know. She smiles and cuddles into his chest. He was smelling good, "seems like you just had a shower?" She rubs her nose on his bare visible chest.
He giggles, "haan after my basketball training I took a shower, you are waiting for long?" He broke the hug to look at her, but Ragini shook her head, "no Laksh, all is fine. Remember I once told you take your time. Better you smell than stink."
Laksh signs of relief, "Okay let's go, what you wanted to tell me?" He took her hand and they walked to his bike.
"Laksh please don't be angry on me, but what should I do to give you something back? I mean you gave me your apartment to live and I can't offer you anything." She was biting on her lower lip, in the fear he might ask for something she can't give him.
Laksh shook his head, "there is no need for anything. I just want a promise from you, when the time will come I will ask you and you have to keep it." She looked at him totally confused, "what a promise?" She said with an awkward smile on her face.
Laksh laughs, "yes, a promise. So if you don't mind your personal driver is waiting, wear your helmet and sit behind me on your personal seat." He said and she nods.
They were driving to his place, where Ragini lives alone. With the money she earns, she buys herself food and clothes, by chance she even save some of it.
Laksh gave her a kiss on her cheek, "okay bye. I will call you later." He said and pushed down the pedal of his bike to start it. She waves him bye and he was gone.
I'm very lucky to have him, he bears me with all may craziness not asking or demanding for anything. Why do I feel, I'm forgetting something?
Ragini was in the apartment, she did her studies and the household. While cooking she took out something from the fridge, curd, to make the curry. When her gaze fall on the calendar on the fridge door.
"Oh Gosh Laksh Birthday is coming! I have to prepare something. Haan!" She was panicking and trying to remember everything she had learnt about him.
He is so simple, hmm he hates my food, but what if I make it according to his wish? Haan I will Cook for him and then we will make a movie marathon. He loves watching movies with me, that is what he said, after the cinema date we had.
Laksh got a message from Ragini.
•Laaaaaksh!•
There was a smile on his face, as if she is just shouting his name for real.
•Do meet me this Friday at your place, I mean my place okay?•
Laksh was confused. Friday? He scratches his head and wrote back.
•okay baacha•
Ragini smiles and was planning for everything. His birthday is on Saturday and I will celebrate with him the whole night and he won't even get to know. Smart me.
The time was running and Friday arrived.
Laksh and Ragini both were driving home, this time Laksh parked his motorbike in the underground garage of the building complex.
"Ragini won't you tell me anything about the sudden invitation?" He asked as she was behaving weirdly and remained silent all the way.
"Laksh please let me redeem your favours on me. I can't tell you what my plan is as you will go mad about it." She said and he frowns, "Ragini!" He said with a stern voice and she pushed him into the elevator.
Ragini opens the door, the apartment was looking like a mess, "here Laksh wear this."
Laksh looked at the clothes, "Ragini you called me here to clean the apartment with you?" Ragini nods, "haan here!"
He wore it and was looking 👆 like that. He was fuming in his inner. What the hell, I'm Lakshya Maheshwari not a male maid. He was cursing her, but she didn't mind it.
Soon all was clean and he took a shower. In his room, which was set and cleaned by Ragini.
Laksh come out looking at her, she was decorating the table. She had cooked several items for him.
"Ragini, I just hope your food won't create a volcano in my stomach." He said in scared way.
Ragini pouts, "you haven't tried it and started to curse it." She turns away and was looking down not to show her pain. He is the only one, who knows her and understands her the best.
He sat on the chair and filled his plate, looking at her, she was watching him with the corner of her eye. Laksh took the first bite in his mouth, "hmm Ragini. That is so yummy!" He didn't lied and filled the plate to the extend.
They were eating and talking all the time and then they took a thick duvet and covered themselves under it on the couch.
Ragini has ordered movies to watch, one of them was the horror movie, both were scared, but didn't admit it.
Laksh gulps in the end of it, he already had closed his eyes, whereas Ragini was hiding her face in his chest.
Both heard the sound of the final credits and signs of relieve looking at the tv screen.
"Nice movie," He said with a shaking voice.
"Ha...ha..haan," She stammers, "n... nice movie."
She saw the watch and sat on his lap, "Ragini?"
Ragini shushed him, "Ssh!"
She comes closer and kisses his cheeks, she went on to his forehead and nose. She come and stroke her lips on his made him smile like mad, "Happy Birthday Laksh!"
Laksh widen his eyes, he just checked the date and smiles even brighter than before. Ragini hugs him and rested her head on his shoulder, hiding her blush.
Laksh lifts her, he placed her on her bed and covers her fully under the duvet, "Okay Ragini it's quite late and I have to reach home. Maa wants to wish me too 😊." He kissed her forehead, there was a heat.
Ragini turns away, she took out something under her pillow, "here!" She gave him something back.
Laksh looked at it, he smiles, "thank you." He handled it with care and kept it save.
Laksh closed the door, he sat on his bike wearing the helmet, he smiles looking at the small yet very powerful gift he got. He messaged his mother.
•it's late will be sleeping at my apartment•
He waited, but there wasn't a reply. I guess she is sleeping.
Ragini heard a noise, she jerked up and took a metal baseball bat in her hand. I'm not scared.
She said to herself and heard the sound of a key. She looked at him, he had opened the door.
"Ragini, I thought it's late. At this time travelling home isn't a good decision, what you think?"
He used it, the key I gave him back.
She put the bat down and nods, "haan right."
Both went to their respective rooms, but Ragini couldn't sleep she was scared. She opens her door and she sneaks out to find his door open. She took the bat and looked around. Just on case if an unknowing shape appears, she could hit it.
Ragini entered his room and lies next to him, the bat in her hands, pulling him close. "Don't be scared Laksh I'm here I will protect you."
Laksh was awake, a smile which could lighten up the room appears on his face, "thank you, now I feel relieved."
Ragini nods, she fall asleep holding the bat in her hands.
"Aww mera Baacha." He Covers her in the duvet and back hugs her. That is something I wish to have for the rest of my life, but I have to wait for the right time. I love you.
She smiles in the sleep feeling his closeness.
