Just One Day
"Hae-Suk" they said together and glance at each other
How did she know Hae-Suk? Han Sung thought
"Oh..Hae Soo nice to see you again" said Hae-suk while smiling towards Hae Soo leaving the prince confuse
"You know her?" Asked Han Sung still confused about the situation
"Yes, she is my sister" Hae-Suk said facing the prince
"Hae-Suk, who is he?" Said Hae Soo
"Let's talk about it in our hanok (house)" said Hae-suk and they walked towards the way to their home with both siblings walking quiet while Han Sung looking at the kids playing in the streets
"Aww....come here!" Said Han Sung while gesturing the kid who is begging for food and the kid went to him
"Here.." he said giving the kid some food which made Hae-Suk and Hae Soo turned their heads to him
He has a soft spot for a kid..what a kind-hearted prince, he really deserved to be loved Hae Suk thought
"Han Sung, let's go" said Hae-Suk
"But, we can't leave him here" he said with a sad face
"No, we need to go"
"Okay" said Han Sung while letting go of the kid and they continue to walk their way to the hanok of Hae Soo
After some walking, they reached the said place and they went inside and sitting in the floor
"Now, who is he?" Asked Hae Soo
"He is the prince" said Hae-Suk
"So..your the famous faceless prince of this Nation" said Hae Soo while looking at him up and down
"Useless...doesn't even show his face to his people"
"I'm not useless!" Said Han Sung defending himself
"Watch your mouth Hae Soo! No one can know that he is the prince until the rain ritual is held" said Hae-Suk hitting his sister's shoulders
"Why is that?" She said rubbing her shoulder
"After that...he will be crown as the new king of this nation and he can banished those who threatens him" said Hae-Suk
"But why is he here?" She asked pointing at Han Sung
"I want to enjoy my birthday..that's all"he said while pushing her finger away from me
"Okay..now you can leave"said Hae Soo standing up going to the door to open up for them
"No! Guide us to this place because you know it better that us" said the prince standing up from his place
"What am I? Your servant?" Said Hae Soo while looking at him directly in the eyes
"Just..please?" Han Sung said
"What can I do? The prince is scared to go around" she said sighing while walking out of the door
"I am not a coward!" He said exclaiming to her
"Are you coming or not?" She said looking back to them and the prince skipped his way towards her hooking his arm towards Hae Soo which made her startled but soon just let him be
while Hae-Suk following behind them enjoying the fresh air
"oh look!" Han Sung said as he pointed to the square object that is sitting in the market
he went to it and held it up to the direction of the sun and he was able to see the Sun's perfect shape
"Hae-suk! get this for me" said Han Sung cheerfully
"Ok" said Hae-Suk not interfering to the decision of the prince
After getting that, they continue to look around with the guide of Hae Soo and they have a lot of fun trying the goods villagers sell through the streets until the night came and they watched the lights lighting up the streets as they celebrate Han Sung's birthday
"Why are they having a feast?" Asked the prince looking around
"They are celebrating your birthday" said Hae Soo staring at the happy prince
"They really show respect for the royals" said Han Sung smiling sadly
"Han Sung, remember that the emperor was celebrating your birthday..we have to go" said Hae-Suk trying to pull the prince to the palace but the prince only stayed at his place not moving an inch
"Hae-Suk, I want to celebrate my birthday just like a normal person not within those palace walls" said Han Sung without looking at his eunuch
"I'm so sick of being in the palace, I feel like a puppet than a prince. They made me do things I don't want so please Hae-Suk..just one day"
"Let him be Hae-Suk..give him a chance to live his life without someone holding him in the neck" Hae Soo reason out to his brother who only did was sigh
"Okay"
"Please buy a lantern! ₩2 only!" Said the girl selling the lantern so the prince went to her
"Why are you selling lantern little girl?" Han Sung asked while smiling at the little girl
"I'm selling this to others to write their wishes towards the prince since it's his birthday" said the girl to Han Sung who was just smiling towards her
"Can I buy all 3 of them?" He said which made the girl happy to what he said
"Thank you!" Said the girl as she received the money and gave Han Sung the lanterns that he bought
He went towards the two siblings carrying the lanterns he bought
"Why did you bought the lanterns?" Hae Soo asked while looking on the lanterns in his hands
"I want all of us wish for my birthday" Han Sung said Happily
"Alright we can't say 'no' to you, Your Majesty" Hae Soo said while smiling innocently to him
"I told you not to call me that!" said Han Sung to her causing her to laugh to him
"Okay, let's find a brush and ink to write our wish for our Han Sung" Hae-Suk said to him and they went to find the ink and brush
After writing the wishes they went to the bridge where all lanterns will be release for the Prince's birthday
"1...2..3..." said one villager and all of them release the lanterns to the air and Han Sung was mesmerized in the the sky filled with lanterns floating in the air
"What's your wish Han Sung?" Hae Soo asked him but the prince just continued to stare at the sky
"I can't tell you because it won't come true " Han Sung said as he stare at the beautiful sky

"As you say Han Sung" Hae Soo said while walking away catching up to his brother
"Wait for me!" Han Sung following them behind

The Emperor was sitting in his throne after the feast he held for the prince's birthday that didn't go as planned
His eunuch went to him whispering into his ears
"Prince Han Sung, broke the rules once again!" The Emperor shouted in rage
"Please calm down, your majesty" said his eunuch trying to calm him down
"Eunuch Myung, send guards outside the palace to search for the prince at this instance! I want the prince back here right before the sunrise!" Said the Emperor and his eunuch quickly went to order the guards to look for Prince Han Sung
"Prince needs someone to put him back to where he belongs" said the Emperor
