When I opened my eyes, the first thing I woke up to was hair in my face. I hastily removed the strands from my mouth but I couldn't help but foolishly smile.
At least I got to wake up to her.
These last few days have been the best days I've lived this year - even though we spent most of our time either in the coffee shop or cuddling in bed.
It was New Years Eve and Nancy and I didn't plan much - we did invite our friends over for dinner though. It seems like most holidays just consist of getting drunk and eating a whole lot.
I swear Nancy and I have gained ten pounds since the start of December, but I didn't mind at all - there was more to love.
Carefully, I did my best to crawl out of bed without waking Nancy and threw on a navy, silk robe. This caught Chubz's attention and as she stood up, I hushed her instantly. She then waddled to my side and I took a final look behind me to see Nancy completely wrapped in her blanket.
The sight got me smiling, but I stepped out of my room to get clean up in the bathroom. After doing my business, I hopped down the stairs and filled my puppy's bowls with food and water.
I think I'll make breakfast today - how can you go wrong with traditional pancakes?
Before doing anything, I looked at the time and noticed it was 10:37am.
"Chubz, want some music?"
She looks up at me with an adorable smile but goes back to eating her pebbles.
"Alright," I chuckled.
I connected my phone to my wireless speaker and began playing SoulMate by Zico ft. IU. The song got me swaying and gliding through my kitchen - grabbing my utensils and ingredients with ease and with an odd amount of happiness with each turn.
The next thing I knew, I was singing along and fooling around, whisking the pancake mixture and twirling around the island.
"Wow, I'm in love with an idol."
I whipped my head and saw Nancy leaning against the door frame. Her hands were crossed on her chest and a small smile was painted on her face.
Messed up hair, no make up, sleepy expression - she's the beautiful girl I fell in love with.
"Good morning princess," I smiled.
She walkes to me gracefully and cupped my cheeks, placing a small kiss on my lips. "Good morning, Dabin."
The bowl that held the pancake mix was between the both of us and when Nancy noticed this, she tied her hair back and headed to the sink.
"Can I help with anything?"
"Nah, it's alright. Let me make breakfast today."
As I continued to whisk, I heard shuffling behind me. Then, I saw hands appear from my sides, pouring chocolate chips into the mixing bowl. I chuckled and Nancy wraps her arms around my waist - hugging me from behind.
"Okay, maybe you can help me."
"Mmm?"
"Can you please get a pan ready on the stove? Get butter too."
She kissed the back of my head and responds, "On it boss."
I headed to the stove - waiting for the pan to heat up - and saw Nancy sitting on the kitchen island, staring at me like a school girl.
I laughed at the sight and my heart skipped a beat.
The effect she has on me man, she drives me crazy.

Nancy, Chubz, and I were on the couch just watching a movie until I looked down and noticed my pup was sleeping in Nancy's arms.
"Nance? I think you can put her into her bed."
"Oh! I didn't even realize," she gently whispers.
When she returned to the couch, she immediately throws her legs over mine and leans her head onto my shoulder.
"You smell so nice, Dabin." Nancy says as she nuzzles into my shirt.
I giggle, "You're too cute Nancy."
She hums in contentment and moves her head so it was buried in my neck. Just then, I felt soft kisses trailing my neck and eventually, she uses her hand and cups the other side of my neck to support it.
In an odd way, it felt super relaxing . So, I leaned my head back on the couch rest and closed my eyes - focusing on the feeling of each kiss.
"Yeonwoo?"
I open my eyes, turning my head to face Nancy's. She gave me a small smile and looked at me in the eyes, "I love you."
I smiled and whispered, "I love you too," before placing a tender kiss on her lips.
We moved with ease and each kiss felt like a hug - caressing and reassuring with each touch.
Although my eyes were closed, I felt Nancy's frame shift so that she is now straddling my thighs with her own on each side. Her hands moved to cup my face and mine rested on her waist.
I treated her lips with care and it seemed like she had the same idea. Every kiss lingered a little longer than usual and each contact felt delicate and fragile.
When we finally pulled away to get some air, she rested her forehead on mine and muttered, "How did someone like me get so lucky?"
I smiled at the question and replied, "I think I should be asking the same question."
Her eyes stayed closed but the smile on her face grew and she subtly shakes her head. "I've fallen so hard for you."
I grinned, "Each day, I fall even more."
Nancy then opens her eyes and playfully slaps my shoulder, "You're so corny."
"But it's true," I shrugged.
The smile never left her face as she engulfs me in her signature hug. Each time she does this, my heart always skips a beat.
We stayed like this for a few moments before we heard the doorbell ring and Chubz's little barks.
"Hey guys! Happy New Year's Eve!" Hyebin said, barging in.
"Yo, how's everything?" I ask as I hugged all my friends.
"Super hungry, what did you make?" Nayun hurriedly asks. Everyone who heard laughed at her comment but it seemed like everyone wanted to know the answer - the whole house smelled like barbecue heaven and they all go crazy for it.
"Don't worry about that, just come in," Nancy giggles and takes my friend's jackets.
"So, how are you two love birds?" Daisy asks.
I smiled and said, "Doing good - it's nice to relax with her here."
"You guys are so cute," Jane coo'd as she plopped onto the couch.
"How's the sex?" Nayun whispers in my ear.
My cheeks heat up but I quickly whispered, "Ya!... it'sgreatactually...."
She laughs at my reaction and just as Nancy comes in, all eyes were on her.
"What?"
"How's everything going with you Aenan?"
She glances at me and as our eyes locked, she smiles and says, "I've never been better."
We all talked and ate the barbecue as we watched movies. We decided to pop the drinks later - closer to midnight - and chill out instead of going out in party mode.
I'm so glad my friends and I were on the same wavelength - these last few days of rest and smooth days at work really got me loving my home. I could honestly stay inside as long as Nancy was with me.
"Do you guys have anymore soda? Just for the chasers and stuff for tonight's drinks, you know?" Jane asks with a wink.
"Oh! What do you need?" Nancy asks.
Jane turns to the others in the room and shared a questioning expression. Then, Taeha speaks up, "Maybe the classic club soda? Ginger ale, coke?"
Ahin also adds in, "Maybe get a few ginger ales and cokes since they're always in classic shit."
I looked at Nancy with a quirked brow and she nods - agreeing to come with me to the corner store. "Can someone else come along? The store is just close by," I asked.
It was Jane who offered a hand and the three of us left to go to the store.
As we walked to the convenient store, we talked about the most random things for at least ten minutes. It wasn't extremely cold out - surprisingly - which is why we went by foot instead of taking the car. It was super dark out though - if it weren't for the neighbourhood lampposts, I would've been able to only see a couple of feet ahead of me.
"So Jane," Nancy starts, "Are you gonna pop the question?"
At the mention of this, Jane pouts and sighs, "I don't know when the right moment is. I don't even know if she likes me like that."
Nancy and I look at each other with a smirk before I said, "Try bringing her away from a crowd and telling her in private. You'll never know unless you try."
"Pfft, tell me about it - if it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't even have the guts to think up a plan to tell her."
"Awwwh Janeeee," Nancy says.
"Is she dropping any hints?" I asked.
"Bro, I don't know," she surrenders. "I think she did this one time when she sent me something and said she thought of me. It was a meme though."
The both of us chuckle, "any other hints?"
"Well, she does laugh at my jokes and compliments me from time to time."
"That's a good sign," Nancy cheerfully says.
"I guess so. We've gone out a few times together but I don't know if it's just a one sided thing."
"Girl, trust me, that's exactly how I felt about this one over here."
"Hey! I have a name," Nancy pouts.
"You just have to shoot your shot bro."
Jane sighs once again but nods her head, "Okay... But what should I even do? To be honest, I don't really want to make a big deal about it, but how can I in a sweet way?"
Jane being Jane, she shivers at the word "cute" because she always tells us she's never really good at making connections and she finds it embarrassing. I couldn't help but laugh at her and the girls look at me in confusion.
"What's so funny?" Jane asks.
Shaking my head playfully, I defended, "Don't think "cute" bro - it's just not you. Just be yourself - make her a cocktail, sweep her off her feet." As I said this, I danced around Nancy and Jane jokingly before saying, "No matter how you bring it up, she'll say yes as long as you aren't a dick."
Nancy hugs Jane's arm and says, "She's got a point."
When Jane finally looks up to me, a small smile crawls onto her face and for the first time in a while, I'm pretty sure she's surrendering to her feelings.

Hey guyssssss - it's definitely been a while!!
First off, I wanna thank you for being patient with me - I literally haven't been inspired to do any writing. If you have any movie recommendations (movies really motivate me!!) I'd love to hear it!
Also, I'm thinking of modifying this book so that it acts like a tv series - where each chapter is it's own story - any thoughts?
I may have a hard time updating this book but be sure to stay posted for new content!!
