Dear Journal, today was horrible
I just found out that Best Friend/Cousin is dating my middle school girlfriend, Maggie
Yeah turns out, Grant has a whole separate instagram page to post pictures and selfies with Maggie
He's been dating her for two months now and I'm just being over dramatic for no reason
Maggie was my first kiss and my first heartbreak and it was all in the same night
In middle school Maggie was always known as that girl who'll do anything to be apart of the popular crowd, didn't matter who she hurt
It was spring and the middle school had the spring fling dance posters on its walls I wasn't going to go and neither was Grant
Until one afternoon in P.E, I was jogging alone on the track and Maggie caught up me and made a conversation
We talked and laughed, related on everything while jogging around that track until the gym teacher blew the whistle signaling us to go inside
We walked inside together and after that day we hung out mostly everyday since then she asked me to the spring fling and I said yes
I remember going home and being so excited to tell my parents, my mom got me a suit even through it was last minute and Grant was upset that I was missing bros night with him
At the dance I remember being so nervous I thought I was going to puke, we didn't dance mostly talked then they played the last slow dance song, I wanted to ask her to dance I was too scared but she asked me and said yes and I danced with her just like my mom and dad showed me
I was so scared so I when I opened my mouth I tell her I liked her. She told me first with a quick kiss on my lips
And the song ended we went back to our seats, she excuse herself to the bathroom after a half an hour she was still gone and they were starting cleaning up
I got worried so I went to look for her, I found her behind the school on the baseball field, she was smoking a cigarette with all the popular kids, I told to put the cigarette down how she can get sick from smoking she told me that I wasn't the boss of her and told me to fuck off
I asked her why she was acting so different, she told me that when she wants something she gets it,
One of the popular girls told me how her and Maggie had a bet, for Maggie to ask out the most lonely boy at school make him fall in love with her and crush his heart
I asked Maggie if it was true with tears running down my face, Maggie stayed silent with everyone laughing at me
The next day Maggie tried to talk to me but I told her she got want she wanted now go break some other guys heart and after that day she left me alone
And I never told Grant this story, I figure he was going to take pity on or something
I'm so mad Grant, I just can't believe he hid from me for months I can't get that out of my mind, and yeah I would still been mad if he told me I just wish he would of, I would try to make myself understand but he didn't
I guess I can use the fact that I'm Lexi's partner for a project in art to keep this whole Grant and Maggie situation out of my mind
