Part 12: Sex
"You’re having a boy" Dr. Ryan smiles up at me.
"Really, that's great, Derek's going to be so happy" I can help the big smile on my face.
'Yeah" Stefan smiles weakly
"Alright well were done for today" Dr. Ryan stands and throws his gloves away
"Could I have some pictures?" I ask eagerly
"Yeah, I'll be right back" The doctor smiles and leaves the room
"Thanks I say wiping the goo off and turn to look at Stefan.
"What’s wrong?"
"Nothing"
"Come on Stefan"
"It’s nothing Annabel, it’s just hard but I'm happy for you two" He says trying real hard to smile.
"Thanks" I say squeezing his hand.
The doctor walks back in and hands me the pictures. We leave after a while and go home.
"So, when are you guys planning to tell mom and dad they get home tomorrow?"
"What? I thought we still had time" I say panicked
"Yeah but I guess something happened so they will be back, what are you planning to do you can’t say your just fat, you never have been."
"I'll talk to Derek tonight"
"Alright" we pull into the driveway and Stefan helps me out.
I enter my room and grab my bath stuff and relax in the warm water. After 30 mins; I submerge and change into night gown. I lay flat on the bed and call Derek.
"Hello'
"Hey baby, are you done yet?"
"Yeah why what's up?"
"We need to talk"
"Is there something wrong with the baby?" he asks panic in his voice
"No I have a surprise that I know you'll love"
"Alright I'll be over in 10" he says cheerful
"Alright' I smile, hanging up
I go down stairs and get a snack as I lounge on the couch waiting for Derek.
"Hey Anna, isn’t it a little too early to sleep" Stefan smiles
"Yeah but I'm tired" I say, relaxing against the couch
"alright, I'm a head out do you need anything?”
"I'm fine, thanks"
"Ok call if anything"
"Alright"
"Bye"
"Bye"
Two minutes later Derek arrives.
"Hey babe" I kiss him, which is getting hard with my stomach growing.
"Hey babe, and baby" he rubs my tummy and walks in.
"So what's the surprise?" he asks eagerly.
"It’s a boy" I smile
"It’s a boy" he smiles and jumps up and down," I always knew, we’re going have so much fun kid" he says talking to my stomach.
Watching Derek makes me not regret anything. He's going to be a great dad I just know it.
"Derek" I say sitting back on the couch
"Yeah" he replies, sitting with me
"My parents come home tomorrow"
"Oh"
"Yeah so what are we going to tell them?" I ask nervously
"Well the truth and will see what happens" he says nonchalantly.
"Alright"
It’s going to be okay babe, I won’t leave you for anything, oh and my mom’s knows so no matter what you can live with us"
"You think they’re going to kick me out?" I panic
"Calm down, I'm just saying you never know" he says, trying to comfort me.
"Your right"
-----------The next day-------------------
My parents arrive home and I wear a dress that shows my stomach, Derek is with me in the room and Stefan is downstairs welcoming them back. I'm so nervous I tremble in Derek's arms.
"It’s going to be okay" he kisses my lips and we walk down hand and hand.
"Annabel" they call
"Coming" they see me and Derek coming and I notice the look on their faces.
"Hey mom, dad" I try to smile
"When were you going to tell us?" they say looking furious
“Derek and I are together" I say
"Anything else, like your pregnant! Annabel, I thought you were better than this" my mother spats.
"I'm sorry" I say tearing up
"How far are you?" She asks, my dad just stands back raging.
"Five months" I say looking at Derek as he squeezes my hand comfortingly.
"You’re giving that baby away" She says angry
"No"
“Excuse me?"
“I said no mom, its mine and my choice and I'm keeping him"
“No you’re not"
"Yes I am"
I look at my dad and he looks sad suddenly.
"I'm sorry sweetie" He apologizes, finally looking like he is accepting facts
"Get out my house, I don't want to see you" my mother cries
"Mom?" I say, now crying
"Now" she yells, pointing towards the door.
"Mom, don't do this" Stefan says
"And you knew, why didn't you say anything?" she says accusingly
"It wasn't my business I wasn't even speaking to her" he replies
"I should have known" she cries
We just stand there “go Anna now" she cries, angry
“Come on babe" Derek whispers in my ear as a tear falls, wrapping his arms around me.
“I can’t believe her." I say as he leads me away, with a tear stricken face....
