Part 16: freaked out!
I hear doctors rustling in the room and my dad, Derek's' and Stefan's cries. I want to open my eyes and say I'm okay but I can’t. I feel a sharp pain inside and let out another scream.
"Doctor wants wrong with my little girl?" I hear my father pant.
“Seems like the baby is ready to come"
"What!" I scream in my mind
“It’s too early, Annabel's just 5 months" Derek says
"I am aware of that; we are going to try to stop it” the doctor replies
“oh Annabel" Derek brushes my hair “it’s going to be okay"
I can’t seem to open my eyes because of all the pain inside.
“Why can’t she open her eyes" my dad asks
“she can it’s just that the pain is getting to her" the doctor replies
“Can’t you help ease the pain?"
"Yes, call the nurse” he states
“Okay" Stefan says
I can feel Derek's hand in mine, squeezing tightly as the nurse walks in. I let out a scream, and the pain seems to subside and I open my eyes.
"Oh sweetie, everything going to be fine" my dad says
“But the baby it’s too early “I say panicking
"It’s okay the doctors going to take care of it " he says reassuringly
I nod weakly "mom?"
"She’s okay the doctors’ got to her in time" my father says
“Only one of you can stay “the doctor says
“I guess it’s only right for the father too" my dad replies and smiles at Derek as he walk out.
“Take care Anna, be strong" Stefan smiles as he walk out too.
“Look after mom" I yell as the door closes.
----------Few hours later-------------
A pretty nurse walks in with a tray of food. And I eat slowly. Everything happened so fast. Derek walks in and takes a seat on the bed.
“how you holding up?" He asks concerned
“A lot better now, do you think they'll let me see my mom?" I ask
"Of course” He smiles
A few mins later he returns with a wheel chair, carefully he sits me down, leading us to my mom’s room.
I roll over to her bedside and hold her hand, she awakes.
“Hey mom, you gave me quiet a scare"
"I'm sorry sweetie, I hear you gave quiet a scare too"
“Yeah but I’m okay. Doctor just put me on bed rest" I smile weakly.
“I’m sorry Hunny for everything, how about you move back in so your father and I can take care of you."
"Thanks mom, but you need to be taken care of first."
“Okay” she smiles.
