the following weeks were hard for all the friends as they were used to spending their evenings together, but they all made sure that no matter what they would all be home and harry, hailee, niall and jeff made sure to call them when they were done with dinner they knew it wasnt the same but it was something

"yeah, my wife and i have 2 jobs and 5 kids, but when christina told us that she wanted to go to medical school my wife and i got second jobs, which really leaves no room for our family, as when we are home we are to tired" christinas dad says" and if she got student loans she would have a debt for the next 15 or 20 years, so my wife and i decided we would help anyway we could"
"you must be so proud of her, top 5 on her class that is quite an achievement" mark says
" we are, see i got pregnant at 15 and our parents kicked us out, so we both didn't finish high school, and she saw how much we both struggled to feed and clothes her and she was 10 years old when i had my second child, and then after that i had the other 3 we were doing good but when i researched medical school cost my husband and i were like we need to make her dreams come true, she almost just gave up and was going to go for a teaching degree but we couldn't let that happen, and she got the job at the diner so she could help out, we told her not too, but she is stubborn" christinas mom says" just like her father"

"well mr and mrs meza, christina, like i was telling christina, we are all about family and education and when i left earlier, everyone asked me what we talked about and i told them and they wanted to help, so we called a friend of ours at a local bank and well christina you want to open this" jeff says as he hands her the sealed envelope with her name on it and as christina opens the envelope she starts to cry

"i do construction" christina dad says" i get paid very well but not enough to put tina thru medical school, i get up at 5 in the morning work until 3 in the afternoon come home shower and leave for my second job at diner closer to time square at 4:30 and don't come home sometimes until 1 in the morning, last night because of the concert i got home at 2 in the morning"

"usually sundays i spend the morning with them then go into work at 4 and work into 12" christinas dad says

"i work as a receptionist at a law firm" christinas mom says" and i got a job a restaurant close to madison square garden so i am usually not home and Christina and her sisters have to be home watching the other kids, i don't like it but it was what we had to do, i have seen how much trouble students get with student loans and i didn't want that for her, she almost dropped out because it was becoming to much for us, we are so adamant about her becoming something, to prove to herself that with family support you can become what ever you set your heart out to be"

"well there is this program at school where under privilge students go and can purchase their books at very low and discounted book but sometimes these books are all torn or really damaged and some have pages missing" christina says" i want to donate $100,000 of the money you all gave me to the organization to help buy new books to students who need them, i know its not much but i know it will help alot of students, and i want your blessing and permission"

"home made tortillas, my grandmother taught me how when i was a little girl and when jesus and i got married all we had to eat at times was beans and homemade tortillas" lupe says" we saved 3 years to buy this house and when jesus was promoted to supervisor at his work, life got easier for us, but when christina said she wanted to be a doctor, we wanted to refinance the house to take out the equity but the interest rates were to high and we decided not to risk loosing the house and that is when we decided to get 2 jobs and we also didn't want to end up in such a mess that it would comprise everything that we have worked for"

"oh they were a little harder to convince but eventually they came around, they wont admit it but they love christina so much but christina is my parents favorite, since they would watch her while i took a typing and computer course at the local adult school, jesus and i got out GED's and we have been working hard to provide for our family, our home is a humble one, i am sure you all are used to having huge houses" lupe says

"i am roasting, tomatoes and chile, this is is called salsa de molcajete or smashed salsa, its a little spicy but this is my favorite salsa that my mom taught me to make" lupe says as he puts some in a small bowl as hand the moms chips as they all try it

"so how long have you and jesus been together" liams mom says
"um we started dating at 13 and got pregnant at 15 its been tough but we made it we learned to compromise and we learned how to communicate, it was a long road, and we almost divorced 5 years ago, we were just fighting alot and when i told him i wanted a divorce he told me that divorce was not an option and we were going to work thru everything even if we killed each other, we were not going to throw away 24 years because we can't communicate, so we sent all the kids to my parents house for the weekend, we weren't sure what was going to happen and we didn't want them here, and once they were gone, we started fighting, it was soo bad" lupe said "we both told each other things we both regret and at one point we realized that we both felt the same way, and after we got tired of yelling and screaming at each other we decided to talk instead and when everything was said and done, we had talked thru 20 years worth of things we kept brushing under the rug and after that we kick the kids out of the house once a month and focus on us, we take the time to talk about everything and it helps and i can say that we are more in love than ever, you know even the kids tell us how much more happier we are and we can see the change in them too"
"we all know what you mean, i think every relationship goes thru those moments where you are not sure if you want to stay with that person or call it a day, but if you love each other you will fight for each other" eds mom says
"yeah i know, its been hard nothing is easy, and i swear my sister in law, jesus sister, told me a couple of weeks ago that she envied my and jesus relationship and how perfect it is, i laughed at her and told her that we are far from perfect and that we have our moments, but the only reason everyone thinks it perfect is because we don't post about our hard times on social media, we keep that private" lupe says

"i was a victim of domestic violence" diana says as she tells them her story and how they all have helped her and how lucky she is to have met them and how at her lowest they all managed to make her feel loved" and if i had not met them that day, honestly i don't think i would be here today, that is why it was important for me to help you, i saw the desperation in your eyes and i know what it feels like to feel like you have no way out, like your screaming but no one can hear you"
"my aunt was murdered by her husband, the man that said loved her" christina says" she was my moms sister, i was very close to her, he killed himself and in his note he wanted to be buried next to my aunt sandra, but we only picked up my aunts body and left him there, his family was angry but we didn't care, he can rot in hell, don't know how but i want to be involved"

"not everyone is ready to leave, something has to happen for the person to get help, kinda like a drug addict, almost the same thing until the person is ready to leave, no matter what any one tells them they are not leaving" diana says
"what made you decide to leave" christina says and diana took a deep breathe and told them about the day she told ben she was pregnant and everything that happened

and the next morning louis and the whole family gets up early as they all head back to the airport making their way back home....... or as jessica said back to reality
