True to his word, Roman drove over to his friends house and knocked on the front door in less than five minutes. Luckily, they didn't live too far away from each other. Running a hand through his hair, the door opened and Logan dragged Roman inside, slamming the door shut afterwards. Roman felt sympathy for the man who looked like he had been crying.
"Roman, what do I do?"
Gently, Roman took his hands and kissed his knuckles. "That isn't my choice, compadre. You must decide whether or not to keep it" Logan sighed but he understood. They both sat down in the living room together, Roman holding onto one of his hands for support as Logan closed his eyes and steadied his breathing. "What do I do.." he whispered to himself shakily.
"If it's any consolation" Roman began, keeping a soft tone to his voice. "No one would think differently of you if you were to get an abortion"
"...Thank you, Roman"
"It's quite alright, Nerd"
The room lapsed to silence again. After half an hour Logan finally had made his decision. He had grabbed a white board during that time, and while Roman sat behind him, making braids in his hair atop his head, he wrote a list of pros and cons. Going over them again and again, he felt like he was going mad, but the constant feeling of Roman's hands in his hair helped him out immensely.
"Roman?" The man hummed, curling his arms ever so carefully around Logan's waist. Oh gosh, why did both men like that so much-
"I am keeping the baby"
Logan felt Roman smile against his shoulder which eased him enough to relax back into his warm body. "Oh, I'm so proud of you, compadre, you'll make an amazing father!"
Logan chuckled briefly, staring out through his window. "I sure hope I will"
Logan didn't realise because Roman was the first person he told, the man was 'obliged' to help him throughout the nine months. Although seeing Roman all day everyday was an...experience, to say the least, he couldn't be more grateful to have the help and support. Roman helped him on the days he felt the lowest, drove him to his appointments, made him his weird pregnant-cravings.
To say it was the best nine months of his life was an understatement.
Now, he was laying in his hospital bed, barely able to keep his eyes open after giving birth. Beside him sat Roman and all his other friends who were notified of the pregnancy on the fifth month in. Virgil, Patton, Deceit and Remy were all wonderfully supportive, just like Roman.
"Sleep, mi amor" oh yeah, Roman had changed 'compadre' to 'mi amor' - no one commented on it. "Yeah..I will...wanna see m'baby" Logan murmured groggily, the doctors were still sorting her out. They found out she was a girl, and almost instantly Logan knew the name he wanted to call her. Cassidy. After his sister who unfortunately passed at just five years old.
The door opened and in walked in the nurse, holding the delicate Cassidy in her arms, wrapped up in a pastel pink blanket. "Here you go, sir" she smiled at Logan who sat up and took the baby, staring at her face in awe. She looked so small...so adorable, Logan couldn't comprehend it. He made that.
"I made you.." he whispered, then brought her close to his chest, tears welling up in his eyes. Patton leaned against Virgil, crying too.
Roman brought his chair closer. "Will you intrust me with caring for your beautiful daughter while you sleep?" Logan felt something swarm across his chest at the mention of the word 'daughter'.
"Yes, thank you, Roman" Logan replied, and handed Cassidy over gently. Roman kissed her head, holding her in the right position and everything. Logan smiled, closed his eyes, and passed out into slumber.
A few weeks later, Logan stood outside Roman's house with Cassidy in her pram. The door opened and Roman's jaw dropped at the sight. "Hello, my beautiful god-child!" Roman cheered, reaching towards her and tapping her nose. Cassidy giggled, staring at the eccentric man with curious eyes. "May I talk to you, Roman?" He nodded incredibly fast and stepped aside to allow the two in.
They sat on the couch, Cassidy in her pram, watching in silence as she sucked on her pacifier. "During the nine months of pregnancy I have become closer to you in ways I never thought I would" Logan dived right in, "originally I thought it was the aftermath of having a baby, but now I am free of that, and I have had time to think, I find that I actually do like you, Roman. In a romantic sense. Now, if you do not reciprocate-"
Logan was instantly silenced when Roman's lips landed on his own. The man cupped his jaw so delicately, other hand holding onto his waist with the same care, Logan melted and kissed back, curling his arms around Roman's neck. The two were cut off by a gurgle-giggle. "Oh, Cassidy, already such the cock block" then, Roman's eyes brightened. "Does this mean I get to be a father?!" He exclaimed in excitement, bouncing on his seat. Logan smiled, taking Cassidy's small hand in his own.
"Yes, yes it does"
And, to Cassidy, Logan and Roman were the best parents she could ever have.
