Spring Break quickly went by with not much luck on leads. Ned, MJ and I showed Harry around school, before we all headed to class. I was lightly tapping my pen against my desk as I listened to our teacher talk about a set of Quantium Physic's, Tony already taught me, when MJ leaned over some.
"Find anything?" She whispered.
"Not much luck on the leads. Helen hasn't been able to find a couter-serum either. Her team, and FRIDAY have already gone through five hundred tests." I whispered back.
"Damn that sucks." she got out and I hummed slightly before I sat my pencil down, trying not to face plant onto my desk.
"Is something wrong, Mr. Parker?"
"No, sir." I said.
"Hm. Then pay attention." He said before he turned back around and I rolled my eyes at MJ which made her let out a small puff of air. A couple classes later and two of my protien bars later, I was at our normal lunch table, joking with Harry and Ned, while MJ read something off her phone.
"Damn it." I heard MJ mutter and I just glanced at her, before I reached into my pocket. I quickly pulled out a spare charger, and a modified on the go charger before I plugged her phone in.
"What's that?" Harry asked.
"It's just a modified on the go charger. I keep it with me, for whever I spaze and forget to charge my phone, or if Ned and MJ need it."
"Cool, how'd you modify it?"
"It's can be either solar powered or charged reguarlly. I've also added an addpting cable, where you could charge your computer."
"Dude, that's sick." Harry said and I just shrugged before I felt MJ grab my face. I turned to look at her, where she quickly planted a kiss on my lips.
"Thank you, loser. I told Pepper I'd go over this file at lunch."
"Your welcome." I said before she went back to her phone, while Ned and Harry both mocked me, causing me to throw a ketchup packet at each of them, causing them to both start laughing. At the end of the day, MJ and Ned went to work, so I got in the car with Harry, heading to his house.
"How are you getting the answer to number three? I have everything else, but that one." Harry said an hour into our homework.
"Use Hooke's law." I said.
"Hooke's, what?"
"Hold on." I said and finished writing down my answer. I was explaining Hooke's law, when I could hear Norman coming, as he talked on the phone.
"How's the lastest test subject?"
"Still the same as the other's sir."
"Well that's not good enough! I want progress! Make it snappy!" Norman shouted before I could heard him hang up, so I turned my focus back to explaining.
"Oh. Peter. What brings you here?" Norman asked and I turned some to see him standing in the doorway.
"Homework, sir. I'm just explaining Hooke's law, right now." I said.
"Oh. Keep doing that. Harry, I won't be home tonight."
"Okay, dad." Harry said before Norman left. ONce I finished explaining, Harry went to work on the problem, while I went to the bathroom, after plugging my flashdrive into Harry's private computer, putting FRIDAY.
"Hello, Peter." She said in a voice only I could hear.
"Hi, FRIDAY. I need you to find out everything you can and send to KAREN. Just don't get caught." I whispered.
"As you wish, Peter. Boss wishes for you to be careful, by the way."
"I am." i whispered before FRIDAY turned off and I went back to Harry. Once home, I scrolled through my Instagram, a bit bored when I got a notification from KAREN.
"What's up, KAREN?"
"FRIDAY has notified me about Norman Osborn."
"What's up?" I asked.
"It appears that a missing person has escaped, and her vitals are normal, meaning no drug are in her system." Karen said and I jumped into my suit.
"I'll be back, Aunt May!" I said before I dove out the wondow, following KAREN's directions.
"Ms. Lincoln." I said making her yelp as she turned around, where I dodged a brick.
"Whoa, hey. Calm down. It's me, Spider-Man. I'm here to help you get to a safe place." I said and she sat her next brick down.
"Oh, thank god. Spider-Man, I've never been more glad to see you." SHe said as she threw her arms around me. I ackwordly hugged her back.
"Listen, I'm taking you to a friend of mine. She's a doctor, and she'll keep your identity a secret. I trust her with my life." I said.
"O-Okay." She got out and I carefully put her on my back.
"Hold on tight." I said and I felt her nod, before I carefully started to swing my way over to the lab. ONce there, the window automatically opened, and I carefully climbed in.
"Helen?" I called out as Ms. Lincoln slowly let go of me.
"Yes, I'm coming Spidey. Put my patient in room one, please then you head on over to the holoscreens, to see if my team and I are missing anything to do with the math for the counter serum." I heard Helen say, and I did as so.
"Spidey, updating data logs now." Helen said and soon Ms. Lincoln's information appeared on the screen. I plugged in the data, and started to run the new simulation.
"Simulation is starting." I said.
"Alright, go ahead and leave. I'll handle the rest, Spider."
"Alright. Your in good hands, now, Ms. Lincoln. Call if you need anything, Helen!" I yelled before I jumped out the window.
Two days, later, I was swinging through Queens, listening to the people have a street fair when I saw somethign fly past Oscorp.
"Karen, what was that?" I asked.
"It appears to be a person on a glyder." KAREN said already giving me a direct path to follow. I was almost to the person in the glyder when I noticed they looked oddly like a goblin and in a green suit.
"Mr. Goblin sir, do you have a liscense to be flying a glyder through the city?" I asked.
"Shut up, Bug!" Said goblin-thing before he flew down into the street fair, and I watched in horror as he threw down a bomb, where it exploded.
"KAREN, alert the police, to clear the streets and the first responders. I'm going after the Green Goblin."
"Of course." KAREN said and I quickly swung over, and punched Green Goblins mask.
"Did you like my firework, bug?"
"First of all, it's archnid. Second of all, you could seriously hurt someone with that bomb." I said.
"That's the idea, Spider." Goblin said as he punched me in the face. We continued to exchange blows before I punched what seemed to be an important part in his glyder. I flipped off, and attatched myself to part of a building, as the Green Goblin dangerously flew off.
"We'll meet again, Spider-Man!" He yelled at me. I sighed before i quickly got down to the ground, and met up with an officer, where I was quick to help. The next day at school, I was talking to MJ and Ned about what happened in a hush tone, when Harry walked up, looking worried.
"Hey, man what's up?" I asked.
"I don't know man. I was fixing to leave the house, when I saw my dad passed out on the ground in his office. I thought he had a heart attack or something, but he was healthy as a horse." Harry said.
"But something else was up." Ned said.
"Ya. He was acting weird. Almost like he got blacked out drunk, because he said he doesn't remember what happened yesterday, yet he's not hungover." Harry said and it took all my willpower not to stiffen up at that.
"I don't know. Maybe, I'm just overreacting, and this is just because of all the stress he's been under lately." Harry said as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Ya, maybe." I got out in a normal sounding voice..
"I'm sure, everything will be fine." MJ said before the bell rang, letting us know it was time to get to class. Harry and Ned went to their class together, while I walked with MJ.
"What if GG is Norman?" MJ asked me softly in Russian.
"Then the universe has a sick sense of humor, for making me fight our best friends dad." I replied back in Russian before I kissed her check, dropping her off at her English class, while I headed to history.
"Anything on the counter Serum?" Ned asked in a whisper while in Chemistry and I shook my head.
"Helen and her team have gone through a thousand simulations and nothing. Even with the new data." I said as twirled my pen around my fingers.
"Sorry man."
"Ya, I know. Hey, just think. I'll get to the bottom of this and everything will be back to normal soon." I said making Ned smile.
"Ya. It's getting pretty boring without you." Ned said and I playfully rolled my eyes before turning my attention back to our teacher. At lunch, I noticed that it was just Ned and MJ.
"Hey, where's Harry?" I asked and a moment later Betty stopped at our table for a moment.
"Harry got checked out, about ten minutes ago. He got a call in the middle of class. Whoever was on the other side, sounded like they were freaking out. Something about his father acting crazy. He asked me to pass you threw a message saying sorry."
"Huh. Thanks, Betty." I said and she smiled before she walked away.
"No." MJ said.
"Not going to slip away. You, Pepper, Tony and Aunt May would murder me."
"Exactly. Soon as the bell rings after school, go." MJ said before handing me two of my protien bars, before I ate my lunch. Finally the last bell of the day, rang and I quickly left, and was soon swinging around as Spider-Man. I was swinging when KAREN let me know I had an incoming call from Harry, so I perched on a roof, and accepted his call.
"PETER! My dad's crazy!"
"Whoa, why you yelling? What's going on?" I asked.
"I. I got checked otu of school, because dad was acting crazy. I went to talk to him but he didn't react to me at all. He kept looking around, like he could hear someone else was talking. He had files. Something about a serum, and a couple of his employees are dead, plus the newpaper about yesterday."
"What? Dude, you okay?"
"I'm perfectly fine but I'm freaking out, because my dad isn't anywhere in the house."
"Okay." I said before I heard Green Goblins, glyder. Ya, this isn't just a coincidence. I thought.
"Hey, uh. Harry."
"Ya, Pete?"
"I'm gonna have to call you back?"
"Why?"
"Green Goblin is fighting Spider-Man and I want to get out of the way."
"What!?! Peter get out of there! Now!"
"I'll call later." I said before KAREN diconnected our call, just as bombs started to go off. I swung over to Goblin and perched on his glyder.
"Seems like you got the glyder fixed, Mr. Goblin. I should break it behind repair and get you behind bars." I said before i caught his punch.
"Didn't take you long to come to me, Spider."
"Well, I was in the neighborhood, wanting to stop a raging Green Goblin." I said as I tilted my head, and avoided another punch.
"Oh, but what good would that do when we could create such brilliant things."
"I'm good. I don't side with phychos, who drop bombs into the city!" I said as I punched his mask, cracking it and making the lower half of this face appear. A moment later, I was kicked off the glyder.
"You'l pay for this, Spider-Man." I heard him hiss out. I sighed but headed down to go help the first responders.
"What is this guys, m.o.?" An officer asked me after I got the last of the civilains out of a collapsing building.
"Not entierlly sure, but I think he wants me to join his side. He mentinoed something about us creating brilliant things. All I know for sure is this dude is physco and I'm going to stop him." I said as I handed out a few water bottle to people who needed them after being in the fires.
"Glad your on our side, Spidey." The officer said.
"I'm always going to protect New York, until I no longer can." I said before I got a notification from KAREN. I put a finger to my mask, to see it was a message from Helen telling me to get to the lab.
"Sorry, I gotta swing. I think I just might have gotten a tip on who the Green Goblin might." I said.
"No problem. Get going, Spidey." He said and I shot out a web.
"Thank you, Spider-Man!" I heard several civilains say and I waved at them.
"Your welcome!" I yelled as I started to swing away. I got to the lab, and Helen shook her head at me.
"The counter serums have all failed. I've tried ever medical equation known to man, and nothing counters what Oscorp has done. Ms. Lincoln has taken a turn for the worse as well."
"What? How?" I asked.
"Whatever she was given was temporarly working against stopping the cancer she had. Now that, she's here it's stopped working and the cancer accelerated at a much faster rate. I can't do anything except make her comfterable." Helen said and I sighed.
"This sucks." I said as I looked at the room Ms. Lincoln was in.
"I'm sorry." Helen said and I sat a hand on her shoulder.
"Did you try my serum?"
"Yes. I tried both forms. Your version and your father's. Neither of them worked for the cancer or the serum. Yours made the cells fight each other, before the serum won, while your father's made the cells just eplode."
"Yikes, I wouldn't want to clean that up." I said before I sighed.
"What about my serum for her?"
"At best, you'd slow it down. I'll set her up with a small amount and keep an eye on her."
"Alright. I'm going to head back out for another hour or so. See if Goblin omes back tonight." I said.
"Stay safe, Spidey." She said and I saluted her before I jumped out the window. After an hour, I went back home.
"You okay?" Aunt May asked over dinner and I sighed before I told her.
"Oh, Pete."
"I think I know who Goblin might be, but I can't just assume." I said.
"Who, Peter?"
"Norman."
"What? Are you sure?"
"It's fiting the time line, and MJ says it adds up as well. Helen and her team haven't been able to come up with a counter serum either. My serum caused the two to fight each other before the other won. Dad's just straight up caused them to explode. Plus the lady, Ms. Lincoln's cancer got worse now that she doesn't have the drug that fought it, so Helen's going to try her out on a small amount of my serum, to see how it works. If it works on her, Helen and I might have just found a break through for cancer." I said as I stabbed my fork into my salad.
"Just be careful."
"I will." I said before we finished eating dinner. I worked on the last of my homework, before heading back out, while Aunt May went to work. I was swinging when I saw Green Goblin at the bridge.
"The itsy bitsy Spider went up the Water Spout, Down came the Goblin and Took the Spider Out. Ha ha ha!" I managed to hear him say before something shot out of his glyder. I let out a curse as it took out the sky tram.
"connecting call from FRIDAY."
"hello?"
"Goblin took out the lab, and took Lincoln. He's heading to the bridge." I heard Helen say.
"What? Are you and the others okay?"
"We'll be fine. Just stop that damn manaic, and bring her back. Your serum was just starting to slow down the cancer!" Helen said.
"Alright. Thanks, Helen." I said before I used two webs and I quickly shot out to webs. I then started walking backwards.
"Hey, KAREN."
"What can I help you with, Peter?"
"Send a message to Tony. I'm going to need a clean up crew, people to fix the sky tram, and tell him to keep some of his suits on standbye, just in case Goblin goes after the bridge. Also, hack the civilain's phones and tell them to get off the bridge quickly but as calmly as possible." I said as the flag poles started to tense up, from being bent to far.
"Message sent. Let go. Now!" KAREN said and I launched myself at the bridge, quickly flying through the sky.
"Spider-Man, this is why only fools are heroes. Because you never know when some lunitic will come along with a sadistic choice. Let day, the woman who's already dying? Or suffer the little children." Goblin said as soon, as I landed, where I glanced at the tram full of boyscouts.
"Help us, Spider-Man!" The boys all shouted.
"Make your choice, Spider-Man. And see how a hero is rewarded."
"Don't do this, Goblin!" I yelled.
"We are who we chose to be. NOW CHOSE!" He said and he let go of the cable and Ms. Lincoln.
"NO!" I yelled before I dove to Ms. Lincoln. I caught her, and then swung towards the tram, where I caught the cable, then shot a web out for the bridge. I let out a cry of pain, as I felt my shoulder pop, from the sky tram. Soon, I heard the Iron Man suits.
"Hey, Spider-Man. Heard you needed help." I heard and the face plate lifted up to reveal Tony in the flesh.
"You have no idea how happy, I am to see you right now, Iron Man." I said as his other suits, took the weight of the sky tram, lifting it up onto the bridge, while I heard everyone on the bridge start yelling and throwing things at the Goblin for going after the kids, and saying that they would have my back, which made me happy. I carefully used my web to get myself and Ms. Lincoln back on the bridge. Once on the bridge, Ms. Lincoln started to sob on the ground, while I carefully perched on the railing.
"Are you alright, Ms. Lincoln?"
"I'm sorry. I never wanted to cause you or anyone else trouble. I only agreed because Osborn said I would be paid, so I cold pay for my medical bills." She sobbed out.
"Kid?" Tony asked, since he allowed his suit to go back into the arc reactor.
"I'll explain everything later, but I need to get Ms. Lincoln back to Helen and her team. The serum. Not Osborn, but your Interns, was starting to slow down the cancer." I said.
"Are you serious?"
"As serious as one of Ms. Potts speeches." I said.
"Holy shit, that kids incredible. Alright. I'll handle the clean up here, alongside the tram. You get her straight to the lab. Helen and her team have moved to a different, more sercure lab. I'll have FRIDAY, send you the location." Tony said and I smiled under my mask.
"Thank you, Mr. Stark." I said and he sent me a wink, hidden underneath his glasses, that let me know he was playing along.
"These people behind me, aren't the only ones who have your back, Spidey. You stopped a villain from getting my tech." He said before he held out his hand. I shook it before carefully grabbing Ms. Lincoln, then carefully started to swing to the lab, following KAREN's directions.
"Peter, it would seem that you have a dislocated shoulder. If your shoulder isn't set, within the next ten minutes, I'm afriad your healing factor will cause it to heal wrong." KAREN said.
"Ya, I kinda figured that out myself." I grunted out before I landed on the roof of the lab. Ms. Lincoln walked in with help from Jeremy, while I headed straight for Helen, into a more private room. My room was completly private to the outsiders, so I unmasked and took off my suit, allowing Helen to give me a check up, comfirming my dislocated shoulder.
"Alright. For quick jobs like this, I've turned your pain meds into a pill. Might taste aweful, so take it quickly." Helen said as she grabbed a pill. I nodded before quickly taking it, chasing it down with some water. Once I did, she looked at me. I nodded and she forced my shoulder back in.
"Shit!" I yelled as it popped back in.
"Captain, says Language." FRIDAY chimed in.
"Telling him to shut up, and that I've heard him mutter several curse words over Sam and Clint's actions." I snapped back which caused Helen to snort.
"You have been around Stark to long, for your quick retorts."
"Hey, Rhodney does them as well. Pepper does as well, just hers are much meanier, but never directed at me."
"Fair enough, and plus, Pepper's is usually aimed at Stark, the others or just people being idiots in a board metting. She has every right."
"Fair enough." I said as Helen helped me back into my suit.
"Try and stay off it, for the rest of the night." She said and I nodded before putting my mask back on, then followed her out to go see Ms. Lincoln who was laying down on a bed, hooked up to a small bag of my serum.
"How you feeling, Ms. Lincoln?" I asked after lifting my mask up to my nose.
"I'm feeling beter. Thank you, Spider-Man."
"It's not a problem ma'am." I said as I sent her a soft smile.
"Whatever this stuff is, is better than what Oscorp was giving me. I feel more human, more in control, rather than sick and tired."
"I'm glad to hear that. We worked very hard on it." Helen said as she put a heartbeat counter on Ms. Lincoln's finger.
"You mentioned an Inter for Tony Stark. Said he made the serum. Could you tell him, I'm greatful for him?" Ms. Lincoln asked.
"I'll pass him the message, but I'll be sure to tell him to come in person as well." I said.
"I will worn you though. He's rather young, but highly brilliant. Sweet as well." Helen said as I divertaed my gaze elsewhere as she did a check up.
"Oh, shit." i said as I stood up, since I looked at the time.
"I'm going to be late!" i said before I looked at Helen and Ms. Lincoln.
"Sorry, for the language. I'll pass the message. Thank again, Helen!" I said as I opened the window.
"Stay off your shoulder, or so help me I'll dislocate it myself and have you strapped to the bed with Hulk proof straps. Do you hear me?!" Helen yelled out the window.
"Crystal! Night!" I yelled before I used my good arm, to swing the rest of the way home, telling KAREN to tell Aunt May why. Once out of my suit, Aunt May strapped an ice pack to my shoulder.
"Are you okay?"
"Helen said I'll be fine as long as I stay off my shoulder. I swung here only with my good arm. Everyone survived, and Ms. Lincoln is back in a safer lab, hooked up to my serum. May, my serum is helping her. It's helping someone other than Rhodney. I literally watched as he cheeks filled back out after being sucken in." I said as a few tears went down my face.
"Oh, baby. I'm so proud of you. I know your parents and Ben would be as well." Aunt May said and I let out a soft sobbing laugh at that as I cried in her chest. In the morning, I was getting my stuff out of my locker, when I sensed Harry.
"Dude, you never texted me back!" Harry said.
"Shit. I'm so sorry. I just spazzed and forgot after helping people get water and out of the area. Plus, I my phone died after I allowed several people to call their friends and family they got seperated from."
"Did you get hurt?"
"No. I'm fine." I said and Harry sighed in relief.
"How's your dad?"
"He's out of it still. I swear I heard him laughing, without ever making a sound late last night. He also seems to be really pissed off at Spider-Man."
"Really? How come?" I asked as I shut my locker.
"I don't know. I just got here as quick as I could."
"Hey, losers." MJ said as she walked up, quickly hugging Harry, where she shot me a look that told me that i better tell her everything later, or she was going to kill me. She let Harry go, before standing next to me, where I wrapped my arm around her waist, placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
"I will, later." I mumbled so only she could hear me, before changing the subject. Harry had to go home immediatly after school, so MJ dragged me to her house, where she shoved me onto the couch.
"Talk. Now." She said and I did. I even told her about how my serum was helping Ms. Lincoln. Once I did, MJ gave me a soft look, before bringing me into a soft kiss.
"That's for the serum, working. I'm so happy to hear that. We'll go out to celebrate it, once this all blows over, okay." She siad and I nodded.
"Look, I hate to say this, but I have to say that it's Norman as GG. He's the only suspect, and it's to the point where even Harry is suspiscious."
"Ya, I know. I just. I hate it." I whispered before MJ brought me into a hug. I relaxed into her comforting scent before we got to work on our homework, before I looked at the time.
"I'm going to head over to the lab. To see, Ms. Lincoln. Do you want to come with me?" I asked and she shook her head.
"This is all you. Plus, I have to get started on dinner here in five minutes."
"Alright. I'll text you, when I arrive then when I get back home." I said.
"You better." MJ said and I smiled softly at her, before kissing her. I got to the lab, and flashed my badge to the gate guard.
"Welcome back. Helen and the rest of her team will be waiting for you." She said and I nodded, glad to see that she seemed to know not to say my name out loud. I quickly got to where Helen was, and she smiled kindly at me, before I quickly disinfected myself. I pulled on my lab coat, and followed her to Ms. Lincoln's room, where I knocked on the door.
"Come in." I heard and I opened the door, before poking my head in, to see her propped up on the bed.
"Hi, Ms. Lincoln. My name is Peter Parker, Helen and her team helped me create the serum that's helping you slow the process of your cancer." I said as I walked in, and I saw her gasp.
"Your so young!" She said.
"Yes, ma'am. I'm actually still in high school."
"What? Why?"
"I do not wish to leave my girlfriend or my best friends at the moment."
"Oh."
"I compromised with them instead. The four of us are all in college level courses in High school, and we all have a job of sorts that specialize in our area of expertiese. We also do college courses online curtisty of our high school. Not only do I work alongside, Helen Cho here, I work with one other person, but at the moment, I cannot reveal who he is, due to something coming up on my end."
"Oh. Well, I'm glad I'm in your hands then." Ms. Lincoln said and I smiled kindly at her.
"Yes, Spider-Man passed me your message, earlier. Scaring the tar out of me." I said making her let out a laugh, while Helen secretly rolled her eyes at me.
"Your parents must be so proud of you." Ms. Lincoln said and I smiled sadly.
"I'm sure they are." I said.
"Oh no. I'm so sorry." Ms. Lincoln said and I shook my head at her.
"It's fine, ma'am. You didn't know. It's just my Aunt and I."
"I'm so sorry for your loses." she said and I waved them off, before pulling out my STARKPad.
"Is it alright, if I ask you a some questions about how your feeling, before and during the serum?" I asked.
"Go right on ahead." She said and I sent her a soft smile, before I asked them. Carefully keying in her answers until I asked them all.
"Alright. Thank you for your corpuration."
"Of course, Mr. Parker." She said before Jeremy walked in with her food. I looked at the time, and nodded.
"It was nice meeting you, Ms. Lincoln, but I have to head home to my Aunt, before she has my head." I said making her laugh some.
"You tell that Aunt of yours, she's raised you right."
"I will, ma'am. Good night and I'll see if I can come back tomorrow." I said before I waved at her then headed out after leaving my lab coat behind. I slipped on my hood and flashed my card once more, before I was gone.
Friday night, came and I swung through the smoggy night air, before I felt my spidey-sense go crazy. I turned in mid-air, only for something to wrap around my waist, pinning my hands down, before I was flung into an old warehouse. I groaned as I laid on the ground, before i carefully got up struggling out of my bindings to see the Green Goblin holding a gagged and beaten Harry. God damn it. I thought.
"The itsy bitsy Spider went up the Water Spout, Down came the Goblin and Took the Spider out." he said before he held Harry up by his neck.
"No. Goblin don't do it. He's innocent!" I yelled at him.
"Is he?! He found out who I was and tried to call for help."
"Did you ever think, he wasn't doing it to be mean, but to be helpful!" I asked as I continued to struggle in my bindings.
"His call for help would have stopped everything, I have planned! I wanted to do someone different. Someone more important to you. Like your girlfriend, Parker but I can't get to her, seeing as she's in Stark Industries most protected room with Pepper Potts!" He yeleld and I widend my eyes.
"Say goodbye, to your friend, Peter!" Goblin said.
"No!" I yelled only to hear a sickening crack as Harry's neck broke. I just gaped at him before he dropped Harry to the ground, where he laid, unmoving and not breathing.
"Harry? Harry get up! Harry!" I yelled only to not get a response out of him.
"Why would you do that to your own son, Norman?!" I shouted at him.
"BEcause he got in the way of my plans. Besides, I know you'd run Oscorp indistries better than he would."
"I don't care about Oscorp! Your company has given me nothing but problems! My parents are dead because of your company! First, Dr. Connors as the lizard, over my dad's serum! Now you! You just killed your son, one of my best friends!" i yelled as I felt tears run down my face, before I broke out of my bindings and punched Norman in the face, harder than normal, outright shattering his mask, revealing his crazied eyes, only for him to throw a bomb at me. I crashed through a random wall, as my mask and part of my suit was torn to shreads.
"You and I could have been, great together, Peter."
"I don't befriend, manaic's." I said as I painfully blocked a punch from him. We each got in a lot of powerful hits before he called his glyder. I jumped to avoid the blades, before kicking him in the face. He soon tried to pin me against the wall with his glyder but I managed to avoid it before throwing him off the glyder and into the brick wall. I punched the glyder, hitting something, and it went straight for him with it's blades out. I widend my eyes and tried to break the blades off but they went straight into his stomach.
"No!" I shouted as I watched in horror as he coughed up blood.
"Peter? What? What happened?" He asked.
"YOu took a serum and it made you go crazy. You became the Green Goblin where you injured a lot of people, killed some. ONe of them being your own son! YOu tried to kill me." I said before I swallowed heavy as i watched him die in front of me. I went over to Harry and carefully held him for a moment as painful sobs wrecked through me, before I pulled out my STARK Phone, where I called Tony.
"Hey, kiddo. What's up?"
"Mr. Stark. I. Please." I got out through my sobs.
"Kid, stay where you are. I'm coming." I heard him say and I sobbed once more. It took Tony only ten minutes to get to me, and I carefully threw myself at him, where I painfully sobbed into his chest.
"Kid. I. What happened?" He got out.
"I. He killed Harry. It was Norman all along. He." I got out before more painful sobs came out of me.
"Kid, I'm so sorry." Tony said softly as he hugged me. We stayed like this for several minutes before i heard Sirens.
"Let's get you to the med bay, we can't risk your identity." Tony said softly and I nodded before the suit was around him once more, and I allowed him to carry me to the lab. Helen looked me over, and gave me a few of my pain pills before Tony took me to the compound, where MJ was, with her own tears streaming down her face. She said nothing, just brought me into a hug, where the two of us just sobbed. I came to, with a small sensory overload, and MJ in my arms, her eyes puffy. Several days later, MJ, Ned, Aunt May and I were all at Harry's funeral service, when my Spidey-sense picked up on the Defenders. Jessica broke her normal cold facial expression to gave me a sad look before she drew me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry, kid." She whispered before she let me go and went and hugged MJ. I looked at Luke.
"You ever feel like punching something unbreakable you let me know, alright?" he asked with a wink, making my lips twitch only slightly but I nodded when I heard it. A fluttery heartbeat, alongside Jessica's. I just blinked at Jess in shock, before i turned my attention to Matt, Foggy and Danny.
"Take your time to heal, alright." Danny said and I nodded before hugging him.
"Sorry, kid." Foggy said as he clapped my shoulder. I nodded since I knew he wasn't good with words, then I looked at Matt.
"Life is going to suck ass, expecially moments like this when it comes to your friends at a young age." Matt said but he, 'looked' at me.
"But it'll get better with time just don't let this keep you chained to the ground forever." he said before he also hugged me.
"Come by the church one day. Might help." He whispered before he let me go.
"Ya. Thanks." I got out in a thick voice before Jess walked over to me and we walked to a bit more quiter spot.
"So, I'm guessing you know." She said.
"Ya. Congrats." I said.
"I'm terrified." She whispered and I sat a hand on her shoulder.
"You'll be a perfect mother. Aunt May can help with advice, plus I'm great with kids." I whispered and she smiled some.
"You think so?"
"I know so." I said
"Thanks, kid."
"You'd do the same for me." i said before I carefully hugged her once more, before she went back to the Defenders, where i watched her slip her hand in with Luke's, looking lighter. Once they were gone, Flash walked up to us where he put a hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Peter." He said in a soft voice. I swallowed heavily but nodded.
"I know it's not much but I know some thearpist that could help. I'll even pay for your sessions." he said and i finally cracked a smile some.
"Thanks, Flash. Really, but I'll be fine." I said.
"You sure?" he asked and I looked at my family that consisted of the Avengers, the Defenders, Ned, MJ and Aunt May.
"Ya. I'll be fine with time. I've got my makeshift family to help." I said.
"Start fresh?" Flash asked as he held out his hand.
"We can start fresh, Flash." I said as I shook his hand.
"Flash has bad memories.
"Call me, Tom."
"Alright. Let's start fresh, Tom." I said before I headed back to my family, where I slipped my hand in with MJ, who nodded at Tom before we all left. A week later, I walked into the kitchen after another nightmare, to see Sam sitting at the bar holding a glass.
"Can't sleep, either?" he asked and I shook my head.
"Keep hearing the sound." I said as I started to fix me a cup of hot chocolate. It was quiet for a few moments before Sam sighed.
"I'm not exactly a thearpist, but I'm the closest thing to one, that deals with Superheroing bullshit. Talk to me about it." Sam said and I looked at him in shock.
"I volunteer down at the VA when I have time off. I hear their war stories from over there, and I help the others with theirs here. I know your still just a kid, but your also a superhero, meaning you've gone through a lot of shit a normal phsycologist won't be able to handle. So, talk." Sam said so I did. Once done, I felt a little bit better.
"Well shit, kid." Sam said and I snorted but he soon started to give me some tips that he thought might help. Once our little improptu session was over, I felt better and tired.
"I'm going to try and get some sleep, now." I said as I sat my cup in the sink.
"Alright." Sam said and I looked at him.
"Hey, Sam."
"Ya uh."
"Thanks."
"Anytime, kid. We're family, makeshift as it is, full of troublemakers and assholes, but we're still a family neither the less. We're all here to help each other."
"I know, but still. Thank you." I said before I headed back to my room, where I fell asleep, immediatly, feeling way better in the morning.
