Yeonwoo POV

...

Our walk seemed like it would last forever, but once we got to the steps leading to my porch, I began to panic - and Nancy seemed to notice.

"Dabin, is something wrong?" she asks as she places a hand on my shoulder and bends a little so that her eyes were the only thing I saw.

I couldn't say a thing to her.

I felt paralyzed; but it was all thanks to her eyes. They trapped me in some kind of spell that left me hungry for her beautiful gaze.

After a few moments of silence, she smiles and draws one hand onto my face, "You're so cute - come on, let's get inside. You must be freezing."

Before she rings the doorbell, I remembered the plan and how everyone's in the basement. So, I reached for her hand and spun her around and I did my best to try and be as slick as possible and engulfed her in a big hug - wrapping my arms around her waist. I needed to stall for a bit - I didn't feel ready at all.

"Umm, D-Dabin? What's this for?"

Quick time, quick time - think Yeonwoo, "I j-just feel like I never show you h-how much you mean to me," I stuttered slightly.

She giggles and tightly wraps her arms around my neck as her head nuzzles at the base of my neck. I quietly chuckle at her reaction to my sudden hug and the both of us gently sway back and forth for a few moments.

This was pretty perfect.

Still wrapped up in each other's arms, Nancy tells me, "You know, I'm so happy that I went to Momoland that day it rained."

I smiled and asked, "And why is that?"

"Because if I didn't, we might not be where we are right now," she replies softly. At this, I felt her body press against mine even more while her head stayed buried by my neck.

"I guess so," I started off, "but I mean, we probably would've seen each other still - being that you are a regular customer."

At my comment, she pulls away from my neck and looks at me, head slightly tilted to the right, "I know, but there are so many what-ifs, you know?" Nancy looks down and continues to say, "What if I came during a busy day? We probably would've never gotten a chance to talk. What would've happened if you never told me about Daisy? I doubt she'd be here with us right now."

I look down at her face even though her gaze was directed to the floor and decided to continue her list of the "What-ifs", "What do you think would've happened if you were never friends with Hyebin? We definitely wouldn't be here today. And if I hadn't found this place, we would've never been friends."

At the mention of that, Nancy lifts her head with a frown and says, "I don't think I can ever imagine not having you in my life anymore."

This got my face heated real good.

"Like, who's gonna cook dinner for me?" She teases and I playfully shove her away, "Sorry, I was just joking,

But in all seriousness, you've been there for me when I felt like I couldn't really go to anyone and you've really done so much for me. You've also been such a good friend to me, so thank you," she says with a smile.

I chuckled as I recalled one of our first memories and said, "You know, other than Hyebin, you are the first person I actually felt comfortable with ever since I moved here. I should thank you too, for getting me where I am today."

A smile broke out on her face and she bows her head - covering my view to her eyes.

When the cold finally got the best of Nancy and I, I sucked it up and unlocked the door.

As expected, it was quiet - excluding the Christmas music in the background. I guess these fools tried to get some kind of mood lighting going on because they turned off all the house lights and left the Christmas lights on and lit some candles.

"Um, where's everyone?" Nancy obliviously asks.

Acting along with the plan we've set up, I just said, "I actually don't know. Just put the ice in the freezer - I'll try calling Jane."

"Ah gotcha," and Nancy quietly skips to the kitchen.

I took my phone out and called Jane because I have no idea what to say if Nancy asks where they are.

"Yo, everything alright?" Jane whispered through the phone.

"Bro, where do I say you've gone when Nancy asks?"

"Uhhhhh..." I heard whispering in the background of the call until Daisy takes the phone and says, "Just tell her we ran out of booze and we all went out to find some. If she asks why did everyone leave, just tell her that we said that we left Nayun and Ahin in the basement who knocked out in the spare room."

"We didn't by the way," I heard the two of them say in unison.

Just then, the sounds of footsteps grew louder and I ended the call after saying, "Alright guys, come back safely."

"Where did they go?" She asks as she bounces in front of me.

"Jane told me they went out to buy more drinks 'cuz apparently, we ran out."

"Damn, what the hell, how did they finish so much while we were gone," she whistles.

I chuckled, "I dunno, princess. But they also said they left Nayun and Ahin here since they knocked out in the basement."

A look of confusion flashed across her face but a small smile takes over, "They seem like the type to sleep at a party."

I giggled, "Yeah."

Okay girl, we got this. I think it's time.

"Um, Nance?"

"Yup?"

Stay calm Yeonwoo, "I kinda wanna show you something."

Her face instantly lights up and she excitedly says, "Oh! I do too!" She goes under the Christmas tree and pulls a large bag from the back.

When she struts back to me, I smiled and took her hand, "Alright, we just have to go to my room." As I lead her up the stairs, I looked back and saw her blushing - despite it being really dark in the house.

When we slowly approached the top of the staircase, I noticed that the girls actually added extra Christmas lights along the edges of the ceiling that led to my room. I also noticed the soft jazz music that began to play in the background which played a lot with a relaxed atmosphere.

My chest was pounding and eventually, I heard my heart beat in my ears.

B-Boom, b-boom.

It was deafening.

My room was already slightly ajar, and after opening the door, I stood by the entrance as Nancy continued into the room and admired what Daisy and Taeha have done. They hung the soft and golden lights inward towards the center of the room - strands of lights coming from the corners of the room. They also hung shear, white fabric by the lights which made the room look elegant and soft.

Damn, these girls really did go all out on this.

They even selected very faint vanilla and gingerbread scented candles that were propped on my desk and on the night stands that were posted on both sides of my bed. The room held a very soothing yet romantic vibe that was boarder line sensual to be honest.

I focused my attention back to Nancy, who was currently in the middle of the room, and she was slowly turning around - absorbing her surroundings and admiring everything about the room.

"Wow Yeonwoo, this is incredible," Nancy whispers.

I grin at her reaction, "I'm glad you like it, a few of our friends actually helped out."

She chuckles and goes towards the candles that were by my bed and I decide to walk to her. A few paces in, I felt my legs giving up on me because I just felt all the nervousness bubbling up. So, I just sat right by where Nancy was standing and took a few breaths before pulling her down to sit beside me.

"You really out did yourself," Nancy says as she looks at me with the most adorable puppy eyes.

"Yeah, I guess I did," I smiled back.

But the look in her eyes reminded me why we were here in the first place, so I quickly looked away to the floor and placed my hand on the back of my neck - yikes, I'm sweating.

Nancy's gift was actually in my closet, and before I could move to retrieve it, Nancy places her hand on my arm and hands me her gift.

"I hope you like it. It's nothing much, but it reminded me of you," she says with a noticeable blush that was painted on her cheeks.

When I reached into the bag, the first thing I felt was her card, so I took it out and decided to read it:

Yeonwoo,

These last few months have been a ride and having you here made everything a whole lot better. You go above and beyond when it comes to the people you care about and I'm so glad I got the chance to get to know you better.

Thanks for always being my k-grill date, my cuddle buddy, my coffee teacher, etc, but most importantly, my best friend.

Here's to many more Christmases to come!
Love you, Nancy ❤️

I couldn't help but smile as I read the short, but sweet card and I wrapped one of my arms -which held the card - around her waist and leaned my head on her shoulder. Using my free hand, I reached into the bag and pulled out a large, cute, and extremely soft red fox plushie - and I laughed into Nancy's shoulder.

"Why do I remind you of a fox?"

"Because when you smile, your eyes kind of tilt up a bit and you look like a fox when you do that. And your nose is cute and your laugh lines also have something to do with it... I don't know how to pinpoint it - you just look like a fox."

I giggled as she rambled on and hugged her with my plushie in between the both of us, "I love it Nance, thank you."

When we finally separated, I placed the gift down and walked towards the closet - surely enough, the box was waiting for me. I took it, but sneakily turned around so that Nancy couldn't see it.

"Well, I got you a little something too. Not as soft as your gift, but I hope you like it."

When I took my place back beside Nancy, her eyes were just focused on mine, occasionally falling down to my lips. Finally, I brought the box in between us and after opening it, Nancy looks back into my eyes with a huge smile.

I handed her the box and she takes the necklace out to examine it.

"It's actually a locket - just push that little button."

After opening it, her smile grew even wider. Her fingers gently grazed the pictures in the locket and her gaze falls on the small picture of us.

"Do you like it?"

She chuckles and says, "More than anything." Then, she practically tackles me in a hug that forces me to lay on the bed, "Thank you, Yeonwoo."

She then hulls me up, I helped her put the necklace around her neck, and we ended up sitting in silence.

Okay. I think this is the part when I should say something.

Oh my God, it's going to happen.

I began sweating because I was nervous as fuck and soon enough, I began my deep breathing exercises because my heart was beating so quickly, it felt like I just ran a marathon.

I turn my whole body to completely face Nancy and at this action, she looks at me questioningly but also mirrors my position.

She lightly chuckles and asks, "Is everything alright Yeonwoo? You've been acting a little weird."

Fuck...

Shit...

Bitch, this is gonna happen...

Right here,

Right now.

I look into Nancy's questioning eyes first, then I let my gaze wander her face.

Beautiful, flawless skin, smooth lips, soft cheeks, beautifully waved hair, a birthmark over her upper lip, one just under her chin, and a cute nose that many people would die for.

My hands were feeling extremely clammy and I was really feeling my nervousness bubbling in my stomach.

Suck it up Yeonwoo - be a bad bitch. You got this,

You got this.

"N-Nancy?" I whispered. After being mesmerized by her face, I dropped my gaze to the empty space between us, "I-I need to tell you something."

Suddenly, I notice that she was kneeling on the bed.

I felt her hands cup my face.

And when I finally lifted my gaze.

I felt all my anxiety disappear.

Because her lips reassured me that there was nothing to worry about.

She's kissing me.

Oh my God, She's kissing me.

The kiss was sweet and short, but it hit me so hard. I felt light headed and I couldn't help but smile into the kiss. So when she pulled away, I missed it instantly.

After the kiss, Nancy placed her forehead on mine and my hands instinctively rested on her waist.

"How were you so sure I'd let you kiss me," I asked as I smiled with my eyes still closed.

I heard her chuckle and she soft whispers back, "I wasn't."

When I opened my eyes, I noticed that hers were still closed, but I pulled her body closer to mine and she sat on my lap - crossing her legs behind my back.

Even when her eyes were closed, she was still the most gorgeous view.

I took the opportunity to push away the hair that covered her face and her eyes fluttered open. She was blushing really hard and I guarantee that I'm no better either.

Nancy smiled at me while she caressed my cheeks and her eyes fell down to my lips, "You don't know how long I've waited to do that."

I chuckle and draw circles on her waist using my thumbs, "Did that really happen?"

She giggles and playfully nods her head.

"Yeonwoo, I have something to tell you too."

I raise my eyebrow.

And she smiles and softly says, "I think I've fallen for you."

I felt a huge weight lift of my shoulders and my chest felt so tight - I can't believe this is happening.

God, if you're playing with me, stop it right now.

I couldn't help but smile at her, "You don't understand how happy I am, Nancy." I leaned in for another kiss and right before our lips meet, I tell her, "I think I've fallen for you, too."

This second kiss was a lot more playful and passionate. When I pressed my lips onto hers, I literally felt sparks and a shiver went down my spine. It was slow at first, but I guided her soft lips into a deeper kiss.

Her hands slide down to my neck and mine slowly caressed her waist - eventually travelling to her back to support her frame.

Each kiss tasted sweet and it felt as though her lips melted perfectly into mine.

I was already addicted.

When we pulled apart I didn't realize how out of breath I was but the two of us giggled after realizing we were both gasping for air.

"I love you, Yeonwoo."

"I love you too, Nanc-"

Nancy begins howling with laughter at the very abrupt change of music - credits to Jane and Nayun - and I couldn't help but bow my head in embarrassment.

I'm gonna kill them.
