Mike and Eleven lay on top of Mikes bed, they sat in silence for about 5 minutes before Max came barging through the door. Both El and Mike jump up and Max whisper-yells "busted!"
Mike shoots her a look, "I said I would be right back down! Can you give us a minute?"
Max grins, proud of herself, "of course I can, but I couldn't say no to a dare" she winks, and starts walking towards the door. Before shutting it again she turns and says "And hey, keep your pants up Wheeler" she says, laughing as Mike throws a pillow towards the door. The door shuts again.
"Sorry about that El" Mike says softy, turning towards Eleven. She looked almost frightened, "pants up?..." she asked Mike confused. Mikes face turned red as he exclaimed "No no no it was just a joke she uh..." he looked down at the floor. "She was joking about us being in love or something idk" he thought that would make it sound innocent enough for her to understand.
"She thinks we're in love?..." she asked. She's so innocent it's kinda cute Mike couldn't help but think to himself. He looked back at Eleven who's face was flushed pink. "Explain Love to me Mike". She was so curious about all of this and Mike kept getting more and more embarrassed.
-Mikes POV-
I don't know how to explain this uhm.... maybe I could explain it like I did the night we were hiding in the school... that we're different...
"Well uh...love is when you really like someone. And when you want to be with them forever."
She looked confused at first...the hesitated to ask "are we in love?..."
I'm not sure what the best answer for this is. She was new to all of this and I didn't want to throw love at her so suddenly.
"Well...I don't know El..." I said, turning and looking deep into her eyes.
"Forever..." she said. "I wanna be with you forever Mike".
Before Mike could say anything El had already pressed her lips softly against his.
-Third person-
"Love..." she whispered after pulling away. Mike smiled and laughed, and then proceeded to pull her onto his lap. She rested her head against his chest and almost instantly fell back asleep. After about 10 minutes Mike lifted her off of him and tucked her back into bed. He got up and proceeded to the door. Upon opening it he saw the entire gang, who had been clearly listening to them this entire time.
Mike rolled his eyes, "come on guys let her sleep" he said to them. "What all did you hear by the way?" He asked, worried.
The group smiled, "only you explaining to your girlfriend what love is" Dustin chuckled.
Max began to imitate El as they walked back down to the basement.
"Oh Mikey, tell me what love is" she cooed, fluttering her eyelashes. Mike jokingly hit her arm. "Its not like that guys, I swear" he said.
The group all at once gave him a look, Lucas said "don't lie, we see the way you guys act just admit it, you're in love Wheeler".
Before Mike could make any remark, Will chimed in with, "and that's why you got this".
Mike was confused, "got wha..." he stopped when he saw Dustin pull out a walkie-talkie from behind him, one just like the rest of the gang had. Mike couldn't help but let a tear fall.
"We know El's probably gonna have to go away again for a while, and since none of us know when you'll see her again he got this for her... so you guys can always talk" Lucas said, "we all had to get so much money together for this man".
Mike ran in and hugged them all at once, he was basically bawling at this point.
"Thank you guys so much you have no idea how much this means to me, I owe you all big time right?" He laughed and pulled out of the hug, everyone was smiling. It was the perfect end to the perfect night.

I think I'm gonna put one more part to this, I wanna add just a little more of the group without love-stuff, and then end with how El reacts when she gets the walkie-talkie.
I think my favorite part about this one is the sweet moment at the end with just friends being friends. Wow I'm good at this.
