Tyler was sitting on his couch, under a blanket, eating a bowl of popcorn. He had decided he didn't want to play adult today and get dinner so he was just going to eat popcorn for dinner and call it a night.

His eyes caught the clock Jenna had on the wall.

7:10

The brunette let out a sigh. Josh wasn't going to come. Tyler was stupid to think he would.

He continued watching his show and felt something nuzzle into his side. Looking down, he smiled when he saw Biscuit was next to him. She looked up at Tyler with wide green eyes. "Meow," she let out, making Tyler's heart swell.

He laughed and set his bowl of popcorn on the coffee table in favor of petting her head. "Hey, Biscuit," he smiled. She purred softly, nudging her head into Tyler's hand more.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, making Tyler jump. It must've scared Biscuit too because she pulled away and hopped off the couch, running and hiding under it.

Tyler wanted to do the same thing.

He paused the show on the TV and walked over to the door, opening it.

Tyler thought he was going to melt.

Standing in front of him was Josh but it wasn't that it was Josh, it was what he was wearing. The blonde was clad in a black shirt and black skinny jeans, a camouflage jacket over his arms and a black hat backwards on his head. He looked good. "Hey," he gave Tyler a toothy smile. "I was feeling relatively unstable but I had to let Jim out before I could come tell you I was unstable hence why I am late to telling you that I am unstable."

"You're fine," Tyler let out a laugh and then he realized what he was wearing. He looked like a bum compared to Josh. He had on his favorite yellow sweatshirt and pair of grey sweatpants, black socks adoring his feet since it was relatively chilly in his house. Tyler didn't even think to change his clothes. He wanted to crawl under the couch with Biscuit and stay there forever.

"You look nice," Josh told him. "Warm."

"Thanks," Tyler felt his cheeks heat up. "You look nice too," he stepped aside to let Josh in. "Do you want anything to drink? We have beer."

"Sure I'll take one," Josh nodded.

"Cool, you can sit on the couch. Excuse the blanket," he laughed and began walking off before turning back around to look at Josh. "Don't be alarmed if a cat jumps up next to you. Her name's Biscuit. She's harmless."

"Jenna's cat?" He asked, moving the blanket to the side and sitting down.

"Yeah," Tyler replied, continuing into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and pulled out two beers and grabbed the bottle opener from the top drawer by the fridge, re-entering the living room and sitting down on the end of the couch Josh wasn't sitting. "Here," he handed him one of the bottles and the opener.

"You drink now?" Josh asked, raising an eyebrow and he took the cap off his drink.

"Dude I got wasted in college every weekend," he opened his own drink as soon as Josh passed back the opener.

"No way," Josh laughed.

"Mhm yes way," Tyler smiled. "I was a part of a frat too."

"You're kidding!" Josh looked at him.

"Nope. Rushed my sophomore year."

"Who are you?"

"Tyler Joseph 2.0," he grinned taking a drink from his bottle. "I was also the keg stand master of my house."

"No you were not," Josh shook his head, taking a drink as well. "I refuse to believe it."

"I can text my friend Ryan for videos. God knows he has a shit ton of them."

Josh laughed and Tyler couldn't help but let his heart swell at the sight, his eyes doing the crinkle thing he loved. "I can't believe you joined a frat. Why'd you wait until sophomore year?"

"Too depressed freshman year," he shrugged. "I just sat in my dorm room all the time and threw myself into hard ass classes. I even asked for a schedule change so I could get harder classes. Jenna had to text me to remind me to eat and shit since I was so focused on school. Ryan was my roommate and he was determined on joining a fraternity our sophomore year. I stayed with him during the summer since I didn't really wanna stay with my family and when we got back to school he forced me to rush with him. I actually had a pretty good time."

Josh frowned. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be. If it hadn't happened like that do you think I'd still be Tyler the Keg Champ?" He grinned. He was over it. Why would he fester over it if t didn't matter anymore? Then again, that was his same mindset when he left for school.

Josh snickered. "Tyler the Keg Champ? That's the lamest thing I've ever heard."

"Oh I know," Tyler laughed.

The laughing died down and they let out content sighs. Suddenly, Josh grabbed the bowl of popcorn and set it in Tyler's lap. He took a drink of beer before swallowing and opening his mouth. Tyler sent him a confused look. "What? Did your basketball skills go away in the time we've been away?"

Tyler grinned, immediately understanding what Josh meant. "Hell no," he grabbed a piece of popcorn and tossed it into Josh's mouth. It landed right on his tongue and Josh chewed the snack, beaming happily after it was swallowed. "Still got it!"

"Yeah you do," Josh laughed, still smiling. "This is fun. I missed this," he sighed happily, resting his head on the back of the couch, still looking at Tyler.

"Me too."

---

Tyler was wasted.

Josh was too so it didn't really matter.

The two had just lost count of how many beers they had drunken but Tyler does remember them deciding to ditch them after awhile and take shots of Vodka instead.

They were sitting on the couch again, two shot glasses, the bottle of vodka, the can opener, and multiple beer bottles littering the coffee table. "So..." Josh laughed out. "So you just spilled them? On the ground?"

"Yeah," Tyler nodded, giggling. "The bag must've been open cause I tripped over a step and the gummy bears spilled all over the ground. I cried. My very sober boyfriend was sitting in the car and was not amused by my drunk-scapades."

"Drunk-scapades?" Josh cackled. "Wait, boyfriend?"

"Ex-boyfriend," Tyler corrected, grabbing the Vodka off the bed and taking a drink from the bottle before passing it to Josh who did the same.

"Tell me about him," Josh replied.

"His name was Noah," Tyler began, watching Josh set the bottle back on the table. "I met him at a party after I joined my frat. He was from another one," Tyler paused, his brain fuzzy from the immense intake of alcohol. "I forgot the name of his. Anyway, we met a party and he was the hottest guy I had ever seen. Other than you of course," he paused once more. "We dated for six years."

"Six?" Josh's eyes widened. "Why did you guys break up?"

"He treated me like shit," Tyler giggled, not aware of how his words and attitude heavily contrasted. "He would call me names and put me down all the time. Made fun of me a lot too. Nothing was ever good enough for him."

"Why'd you let him do that to you?" Josh asked softly, a sad look on his face.

"Cause I deserved it," Tyler sighed. "I treated you like shit so I figured it was just karma being a little bitch. I knew he was toxic the whole time but I put up with it anyway. We would fight all the time and we'd make up and he'd tell me how sorry he was and how much he loved me and how he was going to marry me. I believed him."

"What made you finally dump him?"

"I came home one day and caught him cheating on me. I packed my shit and moved in with Ryan and his girlfriend for about a year until I saw the opening here and decided I needed change."

"I'm proud of you, Ty," Josh said seriously. "I'm glad you got outta that."

"Thanks," Tyler gave him a small smile.

The two looked into each other's eyes for a moment before Josh slowly leaned forward, their faces just inches apart. "Can I do something?" He whispered, his breath hitting Tyler. It smelled of alcohol, popcorn, and mint but he didn't mind it.

"Yeah," Tyler replied, his eyes dancing as he examined Josh's face. His small crinkly eyes. His cute hooked nose with the hot ass nose ring Tyler always loved. His soft pink lips.

Suddenly Josh was taking those soft pink lips and pressing them to Tyler's. Tyler didn't realize what was happening at first but as soon as he did he was kissing back. His hands instantly lifted up to Josh's head, taking the hat off his head and letting it fall somewhere next to them. Josh pressed Tyler backwards onto the couch, their lips still locked together.

Tyler knew this wrong. He knew Josh was still hurting over Reagan. He knew he both of them were just drunk. He knew Josh would never like him again after all the shit that had happened. Despite all the things that were wrong, Tyler couldn't help but feel like it was right.

Josh pulled back in favor of pressing kisses down Tyler's chin and neck. He stopped when he got the the collarbone. "Your sweatshirt," he panted out.

Tyler grabbed the bottom of his hoodie and pulled it off, throwing it on the ground. He was shirtless underneath but all that did was encourage Josh more. He kissed down his collarbone, sucking the skin. Tyler knew there would be bruises in the morning but he didn't care.

Josh put his lips back on Tyler's and as they made out, Tyler slid Josh's jacket off and threw the garment on the floor next to his own. Josh caught Tyler's lip in between his teeth and the brunette let out a satisfied moan. He pulled back, his vision hazy. "My room."

Josh nodded, pulling Tyler off the couch. The latter led them into his room and shut the door. As soon as the thin piece of wood was closed, Josh pressed him against it and began kissing him again. This time, Tyler's hands made their way to Josh's shirt and the two broke apart so Tyler could pull it off him. Tyler's eyes widened when he did so.

Josh was no where close to chubby when they had dated all those years ago but he didn't have abs then either. Now? He was ripped. Tyler's eyes wandered down to the skinny jeans hanging low on his hips, the band of his Calvin Klein's resting above them. "You wanna do this?" Josh panted, his lips swollen. "Do you have what we need?"

Of course he did. This wasn't Tyler's first hookup since being single. "Yeah," he nodded, running his hand through his long hair.

Josh didn't reply, instead turning Tyler around and pushing him into the bed. He unbuttoned his jeans and slid them off, pulling Tyler's sweatpants off as well.

Tyler may have been prepared for what happened after that, but it didn't mean it was any less euphoric.
