I sat in the corner of this dark barn with Mayanna on my lap. The barn was rotting and grey with old hay everywhere and a loft that we didn't dare go up to. I rocked Mayanna to get her to sleep. Where are our parents you ask? Well their dead. People came and killed them and we barely escaped. I am thirteen and Mayanna is six. We had travled a lot in two weeks conisidering we had gone through two states in two weeks without a car. We were dirty and I was wearing jeans and a black hoddie while Mayanna had leggings and a pink hoddie on. I had brown curly hair, brown eyes that could barly be differentiated from the pupil, and I was 5'6. Mayanna had blue eyes, blonde almost white hair, and was 3'5. I then heard footsteps and quikly stood up holding Mayanna and pushed through a rather big hole. I heard a loud Hey and started running to the forest as fast as I could. I heard four pairs of footsteps and I looked back. Four men were running twoards us they had eletric blue eyes and were very, very scary. I saw cliff up ahead, we would have to jump. I let my eyes close and I felt my legs push off the ground

Oh god she was no older than 15. Fifteen! Why the hell is she out here and what is she holding. I saw her head for the cliff and my eyes widend. As she jumped I grabbed her.
Sammie Pov
I felt a hand grab my hoddie and pull me into a body. I was dwarfed by his size but I struggled, trying to get away to keep Mayanna safe.
"Shh, Ребенка. I will not hurt you, you are safe and so is the little one." He said with a Russian acsent. I held Mayanna as close as possible.
I will protect you, Стар Схине I told her mentaly. Her small form shaking slightly as she hid her face in my chest.He turned me around slowly and i looked up at him looking him in the eye.
"There see, now why don't we take you two back to the farm and make you two something to drink and you can explain why you were in the barn, Ok?" I nodded hesatintly.
