"Look, Michelle. I know you probably won't believe me but,.........Everett
really cares for you. I don't know why he's ......................."
I was looking out the window when I noticed Riley pause a little longer
than last time. I waited for him to continue, but he didn't.
I turned to look at Riley to see him grinning, and trying to suppress
his laughter.
I opened the door quickly and was about to close it when Riley called
my name.
"Sorry,..... You going to be fun to tease." he said while smirking at
me.
I put on a fake smile. "Thanks for the ride again."
"No problemo!" and with that, he drove off.
I ran up my porch to and unlocked, and opened the door quickly, and
closed it just as quick. I leaned against the front door and slid to the
ground. 'stupid, Riley' I thought.

I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating on the floor, which I also
noticed that I fallen asleep.
I sat up and leaned against the front door and glanced at the time on
my phone. I had to blink a few time to get my eyes adjusted, but saw
the 7:15pm on the screen.
I also noticed that I had a missed call from my mom and 4 new messages.
The first being from my mom.
Mom: Be home soon.- 5:45pm
Alright. The next one was from Rikki.
Rikki: Hey love. So why were you avoiding Mr. Thompson today?-6:35pm
I stared wide-eyed at the screen and quickly replied 'I already have to see
that jerk in the afternoon. Why would I want to see him in the morning!?'
I signed. The next one was from my..... Father. I scowled, but opened the
message anyway.
Dad: I'll be seeing you soon.-6:48pm
Oh great!
I went through my phone to see who the last message was from..........
'No way!? Can't he just leave me alone!' I though and sighed.
Everett: Did Riley get you home safe?-7:10pm
I read it over and over. I sighed loudly and decided to reply back.
Me: No. He raped me on the way home!?.
I smiled and was about to stand up when my phone started ringing. I looked
at the caller to see that it said 'Everett'.
'Should I answer? ugh.' I thought. I flipped it open.
"Hello." I said.
"Michelle what happened?" Mr. Thompson said quickly.
"Nothing."
"But you just said h-"
"I was joking." I sighed. "I gotta go."
"Wait, Miche-" that's all I heard before I closed my phone and turned it
off. I wasn't really hunger or anything. The only thing I actually wanted to
do was sleep.
I went upstairs and took a quick shower, and put on some warm pajamas.
I set my alarm for in the morning and fell quickly to sleep.

The next morning I was was full of energy, to which it surprised me.
I put on my black skinny jeans, and a black and white tank top. I ran
down stairs and smelled pancakes and as if right on cue, my
stomach began to growl. I ran and hugged my mom.
"Morning sweetie." she said while smiling.
"Morning!" I said and she placed to delicious looking pancakes in
front of me.
"Michelle, remember I told you about that business trip?" I nodded. " Well
that's gonna be sometime next month. So I have some time to find someone
to look after you."
"Alright. Well who do you have in mind and don't say anyone of my friends. I'd
feel bad." I said softly.
"Well, maybe my secretary or that handsome teacher of yours." She said
while smiling and I almost choked on my food.
"Uhhh" That was all I could say.
"But I haven't decided. Maybe your father..."
"No!" I yelled."I mean, no. I'll take the secretary for $200." I said and slapped
my hand down on the table, pretending it was a gavel.
My mom laughed, not one of those fake one she does every now and then, but
a real laugh. One that will soothe your ears if you heard it and I smiled.

We finally got to school and to my surprise I was early. I got off and glanced at
the car clock to see it was 7:35am. I was about to get out when I saw Mr.
Thompson sitting in his Land Rover.
I hesitated for a moment but told my mother 'goodbye' and got off. I walked slowly
through the parking lot, watching him carefully.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped, almost falling down.
"Whoa love, jumpy are we." Rikki said while smirking.
"Rikki, Don't do that." I said putting a hand over my heart.
"Looks like your favorite teacher saw you." I looked up to see Rikki glanced
over my shoulder.
"Oh no." I groaned.
"Don't worry he's still in his car...... Oh wait never mind, he's getting out."
"Hide me." I said quickly.
"Michelle he's not coming over here....... Oh crap................
... uhhh" I saw Rikki looking around trying to figure something out. "Got it!"
He said all of a sudden.
Before I knew it, Rikki put his arms around me and I was buried in his
chest, and I felt the warmth from his jacket, and body covering me.
"This really isn't hiding." I sighed.
"Shh. Let me handle this." he murmured next to my ear.
"Is Miss Martinez alright?" I heard Mr. Thompson ask.
"I think shes catching a cold." I heard Rikki say and I could picture his
smirk on his face.
"Its October."
"Yes, I know Sir, but Michelle here, gets sick easily." Rikki said with ease.
"Alright. Well tell Miss Martinez to see me before 1st period starts."
'He's talking like I'm not even there!' I thought angrily. I started pushing
on Rikki's chest, but I felt his arms tighten around me.
I heard Mr. Thompson walk away and tried I to push away from Rikki but
he wouldn't budge.
"You can let go now." I said into his chest.
"Hmmm. I could, but I don't want to."
I tried shoving him again, but it was like he was a brick walk. So I tried thinking
of something I could do.'Ha! Got it! Since my face is like smashed against his
chest I'll just have to......' I thought and without hesitation I bit his chest.
Rikki quickly let me go me go and I backed away. I looked up at his face
to see him wide-eyed and smirking.
"Did you just bite me?" He asked while smirking.
I sighed. "Yes."
"For now on keep the rough stuff in the bedroom." I looked at him in shock, but
he quickly changed the subject. "So are you going to see him?"
"Of course not! He just going to have to wait until last period." And with that
the bell rang.

The morning half of my day went by quickly. Sam was quite ready for lunch,
I could hear her stomach yelling at her. I was still quite full from breakfast.
"I'm going to feed you just stop growling." I heard Sam say to her stomach.
"Well you better, your stomach's scaring me."
"Oh hush,......" I saw that Sam glanced over my shoulder and her eyes widened.
I turned to see Mr. Thompson staring at her.
"Why's he staring at you, Sam?" I looked at her and she shook her head.
"He's looking at you and walking straight over her! I'll see you in the lunch
room." She said quickly and left.
I turned around to see him coming towards me. I had two options. One stay
where I was, or two, run away.
I chose to two.
I started backing away quickly. He seemed to notice and started towards me
faster. I turned around and ran. 'I do not want to see him right now!' I thought.
It was a good thing everyone was at lunch, the halls were empty, which made it
easier. Not even a teacher was around. I glanced over my shoulder to see Mr.
Thompson running after me, and boy was he catching up, and quick.
I noticed I was in the about to run into the science wing and I made a sharp
right and opened the door that lead to the gym.
I looked around quickly to see no one was in here and started running across
the basketball court.
Before I knew it, I saw Mr. Thompson run in front of me. He bent down and threw
me over his shoulder.
"Hey, put me down!" I yelled.
"No. Now stop moving before I drop you."
My jaw dropped at what he just said and I continued to wiggle around.
"Put me down Shrek!" I yelled.
I noticed we were close to the gym door and before I knew it, he threw me
down on a mat. I looked up at him in shock.
"I told you to stop moving." He said with a smirk on his face and bent down
to throw me over his shoulder again.
"Where are we going?" I said annoyed.
"My room." he said simply.
I saw that we were in his room and he put me down.
"What do you want?"
"Why did you hang up on me yesterday?" He said.
"Cause I was busy." Which I was, I wanted my sleep.
"Really? Doing what?"
"That's my business!" I snapped and headed for the door, but was stopped
when I felt him grab my arm. I turned around to see him smirking at me.
"See you in Physics." and he let go of my arm.
I left his room and noticed I had only 20 minutes left of lunch. I thought
about the last thing he said.
'Well, Mr. Thompson I'm not going to be in Physics today.' I thought while
smiling.
"Michelle! There you are!" Sam yelled.
"Oh yeah. ha. I'm here." I said while smiling sheepishly and scratched the
back of my head
"Come on let enjoy what's left of our free time!"

The rest of the day past in a blur and the only class I had left was Physics. I
clearly didn't want to go to that class.
'Should I show up late... The library's the only other place I guess.' I thought.
As soon as the bell rang I headed for the library. I saw the librarian there and
smiled.
"I hope your not skipping dear." She said with a smile on her face.
"Of course not. I'd never." I said with a smirk on my face, but basically she didn't
care that I was in there. Usually no one ever goes to the library.
I sat in my usual sit in the back of the library. I glanced at the clock to see it
was already 10 minutes into class. '50 minutes to go.' I thought.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and pulled it out. '1 New Message' the
screen read.
Sam: Where did you go!? Your skipping aren't you!
I sighed, but replied back.
Me: Yes, I'm skipping Sammy.
Sam: Miiiichellle!
After that I didn't reply back. I was about to pull out my iPod when my phone
vibrated again. I sighed.
Everett: Where are you?
Me: why?
Everett: Cause I'm coming to get you.
Me: If I wanted to go to class, don't you think I'd be in there right now.
Everett: I'm going to look for you.
I stared at the screen with wide-eyes.
'Great! Now what!' I thought and I glanced at the clock to see there was still
40 minutes to go. I can't just leave school, someone bound to see me.
I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples. 'Just perfect.'
